    Jumbo Prawns 'N Chips Chowder
    Katerina L.

If you think ivar's is just for tourists- hold your judgment. I came in for lunch on a weekday afternoon and was SO pleasantly surprised. The menu board was very clear which made deciding what to order easy. The service really made my experience 10/10! I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who took my order (around 1pm on 3/9). She really was a doll. The food was SO good. I got the jumbo prawns and chips and chowder. All wonderful. When I was finished the woman who took my order came to my table to drop off an Andes candy, a very nice touch. I really enjoyed the low key old school charm and will definitely be back!

Service was exceptional and the food was good. The coconut prawns and dipping sauce were our favorite. Got the cod fish and chips and they were just okay. They were fresh but didn't care too much for the breading as I prefer battered. We had a nice seat by a big window on the water and watched the water ferry and birds.

Pollack fish and fries, clam chowder, and shrimp.

Great dinner for fast Food. The service was good and the food was good too. It was later when we got here so we weren't expecting quality. We were pleasantly surprised. Prices aren't bad for Seattle either. And a 5++ for the tarter. Yum. Also they had pollack ...its been since I was in ALASKA last. Cooked perfect! Thank you for sharing this little bit of AK with us.

We had Ivar's delivered to our hotel room for dinner and we were so excited to try out the infamous clam chowder soup and fish and chips. Ordering was easy. Our food arrived shortly and it was dropped off at the lobby. The food was great! It was well cooked, tasty, and tasted freshly made. We quickly became big fans of the clam chowder soup, yum! Definitely recommend giving this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

A very nice, welcomed break from chicken and burgers and burritos. Five kinds of fish, prawns, salads, chowder, fries--and plenty of tartar sauce. The traditional 4-piece cod is what it's all about. The coleslaw could use more flavor and more dressing; then it's perfect. Affordable. About $12-$15 per person with a drink.

They also almost always have great specials when you spend over $80! Must-Orders & Foodie Pro-Tip: * Special Lamb: The absolute star of the menu and a non-negotiable must-have. - i like to ask for additional spicy powder on the side and dip more since it is little blend for my liking * The Cucumber + Cold Noodle Hack: If you're a savory girl like me, order the cucumber salad to start, but save about a quarter of it (and the sauce). When you get cold noodles for dessert, dunk the leftover cucumber and tangy sauce in--it adds the perfect crunch and acidity to balance out the sweetness! Drink Note: They still serve beer, but it's a bit sad that they don't sell original/non-flavored soju anymore. Regardless, the incredible food and lively vibe make every trip 100% worth the drive.

One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."

We were back in the neighborhood and decided to pop in on a whim. It is all spiffy and new and under new management. The owner and head chef was there, and she is a delightful lady. The service is top-notch, as her daughter was working there. The staff was very attentive. It feels less like eating at a restaurant and more like eating at your favorite Korean friend's mom's home after being spontaneously invited for dinner. The restaurant is meticulously clean and elegant, which makes you just want to eat. In fact, the food was so wonderful that I hardly spoke a word between moaning and eating. To cap off our meal, they provided this delicious cinnamon ginger drink to help settle our very full tummies. I wished the owner would come running out with packed banchan for me to take home, just to make sure I was eating well at home -- just like in those K-dramas. To sum this all up, this is food heaven. 감사합니다 to the Hae Nam and we cannot wait to come back and try more!

It's dark, has a bit of a modern feel to it. There is one side that has the BBQ tables and the other half of the restaurant has the regular. Big restaurant, so if you have a large party this place can accommodate. Service: Great! Got there at 11:30, I think we were the first people. It's a real mom & pop shop - I talked to the son, Andy, who works here with his father and grandfather. Andy's a trained french chef, it sounds like everyone in the family are chefs - runs in their blood. He's really proud of his family's restaurant, and told me about how they are selective in where they source all of their food - beef from OR, ban chan ingredients from some Korean farm, some other protein from Idaho - he could name where they sourced all of their ingredients and you can taste it in the food. Food: We ordered 2 lunch sets Lunch JUNGSIK Set · 2 fried mandu - okay, bulgogi - good, mackerel - okay - I just don't prefer it, squid - there was a lot of veggies and kind of had to search for the squid, tofu stew - good I probably wouldn't order this one again Lunch BBQ Set A Pork belly - great cuts, beef bulgogi - so one of these they pre-cooked for us, and the other they did on the grill - I honestly think the one they cooked in the back tasted better - more tender and juicy, brisket was great - small pieces, but good bite size. I'm not sure what the marinated pork ribs were, they had a spicy pork - I'm not sure it was ribs though, but still was good. Really liked the egg souffle, but I think if you're into cheese - get the corn cheese. I would probably order this again. LA Galbi cooked in kitchen - the BOMB!!!! Banchan - They had a good assortment. We normally get refills, but there was so much food in the lunch sets that we didn't get any. There were some different banchan that I had here that they don't normally serve at other Korean places, so I liked that. They also sell their homemade kimchi and banchan in a fridge next to the cash register. Dessert - they threw in a free dessert drink - sikhye - it was cold and refreshing - also a nice surprise! Recommendation: So this place does feel a little pricy about $50/person and we didn't order any drinks, but for the quality and variety - it's worth it. If you're doing a lunch set, shell out for the more expensive set - it's worth it. Favorites were the LA Galbi and the egg souffle.

The 10 sec beef tongue was probably my favourite dish, I loved how flavourful it was and that it didn't take super long to cook. Second to that was probably the beef and lamb combo which cooked so tenderly and tasted delectable. I was so disappointed in the mini sausage, it took forever to cook and even after what felt like enough time, it looked uncooked and tasted pretty awful. So much so that one of the attendees ended up ordering catering from here for one of their events and we are also ordering catering from them for another upcoming event. We have been so impressed with the quality that we have made special trips out to Asian Kitchen to eat and we live more than 45min away. It has been fantastic every time. Check out the Orange Chicken. It is one of the best we've ever had. That said, everything we've had has been amazing so I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. :)

Food was very good! Definitely all five stars for the food. Excellent health rating on the door…read morefrom the city bonus! It was a little strange with the ordering process so we walk in and the ladies like sit down where you want so we picked our booth that we wanted to sit in there's a Q code to our right and we were like do we use the q-code to order because nobody was coming to our table for a long time there was a menu on an easel stand as well. After about five minutes we decided to do the Q code and when I opened it and signed in, there was already an order placed so I ended up getting out of the booth walking up to the counter to ask about the ordering. She said she didn't clear the previous customer order and needed to delete the order that was on there so I can start one for ourselves. We got the ordering figured out they started bringing out the food. They brought the appetizers then the fried rice. We were hungry so we started eating the fried rice it was 1/2 gone when the entrees come out. They bring the items out as they are finished making them one or two at a time. They totally forgot the soup so I had to get up and ask if it was included in the Family combo. she's like oh yeah I forgot. It would have been nice if the food comes out at once or atleast 1-2 minutes after. The parking lot is small enough for about eight cars but the businesses next to it had plenty of parking so we park there and walked to the restaurant inside. Overall I give them a 4.5 because the ordering process felt a little impersonable and confusing. We didn't know what to do. I will note when we sat there waiting someone did come to take an order at a different table so I'm not sure if they just pick and choose who they want to personally ask. Idk
