This place is a phenomenal izakaya that offers everything - ambiance and food. The ambiance certainly is sensory overload. I don't think I've ever been to a place that looks like it came out of what anyone would conventionally think would be the stereotypical streets of Japan. The food options were great -- I really enjoyed the abundance of sushi and non-sushi options. The only downside was that we had a server drop a dish which led to a delay in getting our dish and the check. They did offer free dessert but it was one of those running-the-meter situations. Nevertheless, I'll be back and I'll certainly pick a couple new options off the menu (and make sure to put enough in the meter)!

Went to such a cool place for dinner and tried some of their dishes. The yakitori platter is a sample selection of all their skewers, which were all pretty good. The okonomiyaki was similar to a vegetarian fried pancake, which I enjoyed besides the bonito flakes on top which made it a bit dry. The cream udon was really good, not sure how to explain the flavors but I would definitely order it again. The interior is really cool and gives the vibes of tokyo, japan with all the decoration they have. There is also a huge bar for those who would like to come just for drinks. The service is really fast and attentive. My waitress was really keen on picking up any empty plates or trash we had at the table which was nice.

They do Izakaya WELL! The drinks specials are abundant. The vibe is transformative. The restaurant appears to be sectioned off by individual rooms. All with its own unique design. You press the call button for the wait staff who comes quickly. The food was nothing short of fresh. And cooked to perfection. Whether its land, sea, or both they have every dish covered. The oyster shooters was decadent. The yakitori was flavored really well. And the Sushi was fresh. Can't wait to come here and bring more people. I wouldn't want to gate keep such an awesome restaurant.

This Japanese spot is a visually stunning, highly immersive Japanese izakaya known for its extraordinary Tokyo-alley vibe, themed private rooms, and satisfactory shared plates. It features stunning ambiance alongside moderately pricey food that generally satisfies groups looking for an enjoyable night out. The vibe is bustling and energetic. Their high ceilings and an indoor village layout mirror Tokyo's nightlife with lanterns and a bar under a golden tree. They have a number of rooms like the Comic, Tatami, Sauna, Geisha and Ninja rooms offer fun, semi-private compartments. They offer an extensive sake selections, beer towers, and themed cocktails like lychee martinis or passion margaritas. Giant unadon, Yakitori platters, pork jowl skewers, spicy BBQ karaage chicken, sushi dragon balls, raw oysters with uni, tonkatsu ramen and takoyaki are a favorite and receive high points from costumers for flavor and freshness. Their staff service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I noted that the team provides personalized hospitality and quick assistance, even using call buttons at tables for fast service. Expect to spend around $30-$50 per person depending on alcohol and number of small plates ordered. Portions are good for sharing, though some find it a bit costly for what it is. It certainly is a unique food experience coming to this food spot.

I've been quite obsessed with una-tama don lately, so I made the trip to Izakaya Nana just for this. The giant piece of grilled eel definitely lived up to my expectation. The unagi was so massive it barely fit on the bowl... The japanese street style decor and private dining booths make it feel super immersive, and even the restrooms are covered in Demon Slayer and anime posters. *Impossible Unadon $34.99 ** The bowl was topped with a giant piece of unagi and tamago over rice. It had a charcoal-grilled aroma, crispy caramelized edges, and a buttery center. The sauce was so delicious with white rice. If I had to be picky, I would've loved a fluffy dashi tamagoyaki instead of the simple tamago. *Kaki Fry $8.99 * Crispy on the outside, juicy and briny on the inside. It was so yummy dipping into the tonkatsu sauce. *Hako Sushi $21.99 The last time I had hako (pressed) sushi was in Osaka, so I was excited to see it here. Each piece was beautifully presented like a tiny jewel, topped with colorful fish roe. The rice part was dry and dense though. *Yakitori platter $26.99 You can't go to an izakaya and not order skewers, so we got the 7-skewer platter. The beef skirt, pork belly, king oyster mushroom, and zucchini were the standouts. The chicken tender and chicken wing were a bit dry though.

Yummy food! I recommend getting the hamachi Kama and the dragon balls! The 1 meter platter was also a decadent experience and was the perfect amount for the four of us. While it is a little pricey, it was a cool experience that I'm glad I tried. Fast service and there is a button from your table to notify servers. Ambiance is comfortable and the whole restaurant is beautifully decorated. It's is quite private in the seating rooms. The bar area is beautiful. I took a min to just appreciate the bar area decor and lighting.

Quaint individual booths, service was kind of slow as you would need to press the call button to get a waiter to come take your order or if you needed anything. The yakatori sticks we selected were all nicely seasoned and tender. The sushi was fresh, the avocado with jumbo crab was creamy - the crab bowl was a presentation. I'd be back to try out the other items on the menu. Parking in the neighborhood is a little difficult if you make reservations I suggest you plan an additional 20mins to circle around for parking.

I really enjoyed dining at this restaurant. The environment is beautifully designed, with many uniquely themed rooms that make the whole experience feel special. The food is refined and thoughtfully presented, showing great attention to detail in both flavor and appearance. If the prices were just a bit lower, it would be absolutely perfect.

When you walk into Izakaya Nana it's like walking into the alleyways of Japan. The booths were also well decorated too (there was one with one piece images on the wall), disappointingly though the one I was in had very dark lighting so my dad had to use his phone flashlight to see the menu. For our food we ordered the hako sushi, tornado omelette fried rice, trio tuna sushi roll, yakitori platter (ordered chicken gizzard and gyu harami on the side) and the A5 Wagyu cooked on the stone grill. I recommend getting the yakitori platter as it's a nice sampler but my husband especially enjoyed the chicken gizzard. My dad never had wagyu before so he especially loved the wagyu but I do think it's expensive for the amount they give you, I can see why it's pricier but just know before you order it's like $45 for 2.5 oz or in our case about 5 thin slices of wagyu. My brother said the tornado omelette was tasty and filling and he enjoyed it. The trio tuna sushi roll was very fresh. As for the service, I think everyone was pleasant but the vibes were a little off, it seems like they were just very exhausted. This doesn't affect the quality of the food or the experience but it was just something I noticed. They were still very attentive and provided great service. The reason for the one star off is because I do wish the Hako sushi had a bit more flavor, I saw so many different ingredients and fish but none of the flavors were impactful, it was rather one dimensional which was disappointing because it was presented so beautifully. Overall, I recommend giving Izakaya nana a try and I would definitely go again to try other things.

Met up with friends over the weekend to catch up. Glad we chose this place. Such a neat place with good ambiance and decor is fun. Tough to choose since wanted to try lots on the menu. Started off with the raw oysters topped with uni which tasted very fresh. The crazy nana roll was a unique take of shrimp tempura , spicy tuna, mango, eel, avocado and crab. Lots going on but explosion of flavor. The unadon was eel over rice which was a big portion of eel. Sweet and tasty. Overall great night of food and company.

From the moment we walked in, we knew this place was special. We brought our family here right after picking them up from the airport, and it turned out to be the perfect first stop. Everyone was absolutely amazed--not only by the incredible food, but by the beautiful atmosphere. It honestly felt like we had stepped into a little corner of Japan. Every dish was beautifully presented, the portions were generous, and the flavors were authentic and unforgettable. You can truly tell that every detail is thoughtfully prepared, from the quality of the ingredients to the artistic presentation. The restaurant is immaculate, creating a welcoming and relaxing environment. On top of that, the staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about making your experience memorable. If you're looking for authentic Japanese cuisine in a beautiful setting with outstanding service, this place is a must-visit. It exceeded all of our expectations, and we can't wait to bring more friends and family back. Highly, highly recommended!

I saw tons of great reviews for Izakaya Nana, so my friends and I decided to check it out. We didn't have a reservation and were quoted a 35 minute wait, but ended up being seated in under 10 minutes around 9 PM. PSA: after 10 PM, I believe sake and oysters are buy one get one free! Here's everything we ordered: Yakitori platter - 7 assorted skewers. Solid. The pork belly being the standout for me. Fried soft shell crab - tasted good, but it seemed like only half a crab instead of a full one, which was a bit disappointing. Karaage chicken - nicely fried and paired with a mayo based sauce, but the chicken was dry. Sashimi platter - fresh and well presented. No complaints here. Mentaiko cream udon - just OK. Not as creamy as expected and a bit bland. The dish didn't really stand out. Impossible Unadon - definitely worth it! Grilled eel with tamago over rice, generous portion. Tornado omelette fried rice - the egg was slightly overcooked so it lacked that creamy texture, but the fried rice and curry had great flavor. Overall, the food was good but not exceptional. I've had better, but it's still worth trying.

    Do they have parking?

No parking. So come early to scout for a spot. Took us awhile to finally find a spot and it was 2 blocks away.

Do you have Non-Alcoholic Beer options, or mock tails?

Yes for mocktails. You can get a free one with a Yelp check-in. This was true when I went back in Nov '23.

    Do you take american express?

    Yes they do

Do we have to pay for the private room and if so how much?

No, you don't need. But recommend to make a reservation for it

Is there a happy hour from what time?

    From 10pm to 1AM

    Is reservation optional or must?

Not a must, but highly recommended or you will have to wait a while.

    Do the restaurant have parking?

No it doesn't. Street parking at best and you need to watch the times posted as when you can or can not park. There is a small private parking lot in the block east of the restaurant entrance but there is no affiliation. Do not try and park in…

    What is parking like?

You can park in front at the meters on the street and at night they have an arrangement with the garage for a mechanic next door so you can park there after they are closed

Can i bring my nephew here? He is 8 years old

Absolutely! He will love it. They have a claw machine in the waiting area and the presentation of the food is really enjoyable that he would be impressed. He may even develop a liking for Japanese food/cuisine/culture.…

But at last, as I searched on DoorDash I stumbled upon this glorious restaurant they call Izakaya Fuku. I was drawn to the adorable names for their sushi roll dishes like "Strawberry Fields" and their Italian Japanese fusion pasta dishes, "Creamy Mentaiko Bacon Pasta" with creamy mayonnaise, spicy cod roe and bacon like are you kidding me? It's a bummer I wasn't more hunger or that I didn't have more bucks in my wallet because I wanted all these dishes. And the Chirashi Don, god it looks so beautiful the way that it's arranged in the photos online. I finally decided on the carbonara. And I was drawn to the fact that it was udon based. Now, I've just been living in hawaii these past years so that Japanese twist on an Italian dish that I just love oh so much really brought me back to missing the islands and the Asian spins they had on cuisines. It was SOOO delicious and savory. I love comfort food and this had me in carbonara heaven. I loved indulging into every single last bite. By the looks of the picture the restaurant looks lovely, I'd love to stop there and try it in person. Thank you. Thank you! My belly and my heart are very much satisfied.

The gates were down, the windows were basically covered and nothing about the place was welcoming. We realized they were in fact open so we approached the door. We were greeted by a piece of paper stating "reservations only". We entered anyway and the place was EMPTY. There was one couple seated but other than that the place was EMPTY. The hostess approached us and I asked her if we needed a reservation and she said we did. So we said ok we'll come back another time and then she said, " well since it's pretty quiet tonight we can seat you." We should have left. We were in there for about an hour give or take and no one else came in at all. At all. Anyways, we ordered our food. I ordered the sashimi plate and my husband ordered a couple rolls. We also ordered the crab and avocado salad and the hamachi kama. Everything was basic. Nothing was amazing...oh except the price of the hamachi kama. Menu said market price and I get it, that means the price will fluctuate accordingly, but $60 for the hamachi kama? I almost fell off my chair when the bill came. I have eaten at very high end sushi restaurants and am almost 50 years old. I have never had a $60 hamachi kama. This one wasn't even tasty!!! It was not good or flavorful. Tasted like they just defrosted and microwaved it. I was wondering why i kept hearing a microwave go off but realized after the fact that that's what they must have done. I did not complain. We paid the bill. We left. Later that night I had stomach issues. Nicest way I can put that. I will say that i ate almost nothing that day so I can only attribute the stomach issues to the sushi. Needless to say we will not be back.

The portions are a bit smaller, as most sushi rolls come with four pieces, and the prices are on the higher side. However, the quality makes it worth it for me. I especially enjoy their lunch specials, which are a great option if you're looking for a satisfying meal at a better value. And no visit is complete without their fried ice cream, it's absolutely delicious and one of my favorite desserts. Overall, great sushi, reliable quality, and a place I keep coming back to.

We got 2 apps. The sushi tacos and the shumai. Both were good. Our entrees were very good. We got the lunch special Salmon ikura Don, a sushi lunch special that came with a tuna roll and an order of Braised short ribs. Everything tasted great, but the short ribs weren't as soft as i thought they should be. we shared a slice of a matcha crepe layered cake. We loved it. We will be back

Specialty Cocktail. Super Delish, has citrusy notes and a subtle spicy jalapeño kick. Like a spicy lemon drop. Yum!

Beyond the usual ramen and sushi--an incredible Japanese spot!…read more When friends suggest Japanese food, it's usually the same rotation of ramen, basic sushi, or curry. This place completely breaks the mold! The chefs here put genuine thought, balance, and incredible freshness into every single dish. The space is small and cozy--perfect for groups of 2 to 4--and our server, Alisa, was attentive, friendly, and never pushy. Here is a breakdown of what we ordered: Sake Flight & Sakura Mori: Smooth, light, and the perfect start to the evening. Ankimo (Monkfish Liver): Super innovative and a total standout compared to other spots. Paired brilliantly with the ponzu-wasabi-soy combination. Uni: Exceptionally fresh with that natural, clean sweetness you always hope for. Toro Tataki: Pure summer vibes! Beautifully fresh sashimi topped with the perfect crispiness. Scallop Roll: Fresh with a great bounce to the texture. Karaage: Fried to perfection--super crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and paired with a delicious house-made mustard dipping sauce. Age Tofu: Super soft texture with a wonderfully balanced flavor profile. Takoyaki: Generously packed with octopus. The sauce was a bit heavy-handed, but if you love takoyaki sauce like I do, it hits the spot! Pork Katsu Curry: Crispy, perfectly fried pork chop balanced out seamlessly by the rice and rich curry sauce. Kurobuta Sausage: More of a casual bar-style bite that felt a little out of place next to the other refined dishes, but saved by that great house mustard. Black Sesame Ice-Cream & Fried Sweet Potato Dessert: We usually skip dessert when we order this much food, but this combination was an incredible, must-order finish to the night! You can tell the kitchen takes immense pride in their craft. I can't wait to come back!

The yakitori here is very tasty. We loved the veggie skewers (okra and shishito peppers. The salmon belly is actually just salmon pieces and not the belly party. The enoki beef was little too salty. The squid, beef and scallops were very tasty. The veggies tempura were freshly fried and delicious. Could have been drained a little better. Salmon crispy rice was a hit but the star of the show was the sushi and sashimi deluxe and the blue Toro roll. Amazingly fresh. The passion toro was a little too sweet and fishy for us and had no passion fruit taste. Service here is amazing. The server actually gifted us the desserts of matcha creme brûlée and homemade green tea mochi ice cream. So sweet of him!

Interior is spacious and upscale, and staff is so friendly. FOOD: Blue fin tuna tartar (7/10): Fresh tuna with a rice cracker. Fresh and delicious! Cyan Fox Roll (10/10): Insanely good, so much fish and so fresh. Got this 3 times already Truffle Naruto Roll (6/10): Tries to take a unique spin to it with a radish wrapper, but not my favorite. LIC Roll (8/10): Again, huge portions with generous and fresh fish.
