This review is for their amazing carrot cake. Delicious is the word! I also had the firecracker pasta without the chicken sub vegetables, it was pretty good and delicious. Good service, good food, good ambience. Will be back.

Hubby and I stopped in for date night on the weekend, what a treat! Excellent food and service! Our server Judah was attentive and very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions with ease and made sure our drinks were always full. Ask for him if you stop in.

Edit to previous review...they have added a 6% package fee to their take out orders, a big thumbs down. Also, it has been a bit since I was last here, but the salads have jumped in price to $20. Yes, they are big, but it seems high. The food quality remains great and food is delicious, but with the higher cost, sadly.it will be awhile before I go back, if I ever do...

I had another amazing lunch at J Alexander's. It's a great place to hang out with friends. Judy was our waiter. He was absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing and the environment was so peaceful and clean as usual. 10/10.

Staff was friendly, atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. We had a party of 5 and Chandler handled us perfectly, recommending appetizers and delivering main courses very quickly. Desserts were epic and I suggest trying the carrot, it's a new twist with soooo much flavor.

Louisville Lager and Cindy's Lemon Drop

We had a wonderful dinner, the service is top notch and the Cindy's Lemon Drop is delicious! We enjoyed the Emerald Coast Shrimp app, Baby Back Ribs (fall right off the bone) and Prime Rib (best in The Ville).. Highly recommend this place.

Prime rib sandwich and Mac and cheese (so good)!

#37 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week) We were in town for a funeral and heard this place was good so we have it a try. Really nice and inviting inside. Our server was great! My honey got the prime rib sandwich with Mac and cheese and I got the trout with mashed potatoes and broccoli. We also decided to share a side salad. The salad came out first and it was so big I told the server it wasn't ours. There was no way that large salad was the side salad. Come to find out she came back with a salad and it was the side salad but it was super huge. We got ranch on it which was good and I really appreciated all the toppings on the salad. Our meals didn't take too long and everything looked really good so we dug in. My honey said his prime rib was really nice and moist and the Mac and cheese was phenomenal. I loved the trout because where I live we don't have fish like that so it was really a treat to get something so light and flaky. Really glad we stopped and if we lived in the area we'd definitely we regulars.

Steak Burger ($18 as of 03/2025) and it was great.

This review is for dinner for two at the bar on a Monday in late March. We've eaten in eight different J. Alexanders. They are uniformly excellent and Louisville is no exception. service: Bar staff was very professional and accommodating. Food runners and other waitstaff were outstanding. bar: My Bulleit Rye Manhattan ($16 as of 03/2025) was the usual fantastic rendition. At the bartender's suggestion, my wife had a glass of Austin Hope Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon ($15) and thought it was great. food: My wife was thrilled to see Grilled Pork Tenderloin ($26) on the menu. This isn't available in every location and it's exceptional. She subbed their excellent orzo and wild rice for the usual smashed reds. I had the Steak Burger ($18) and it was great. Their fries are not to be missed. details: The place was packed on a Monday night. Reservations highly recommended, especially for the weekend. It's on the outskirts of a mall, so there's plenty of surface parking right outside. Although J Alexanders does not have a dress code, the place is upscale and nice.

I did an AI search on Copilot. I told it, "Show me an Italian restaurant in the Louisville area…read morethat is a mom and pop owned (not corporate), amazing reviews, authentic flavors, and home feel." There can only be one at the top. That was Silvio's. Mr Silvio walks around talking to the patrons, the food is awesome, the service is amazing, and the room gives that home style feel in an inviting atmosphere. I cannot wait to go back. We all drank water, soda or tea and they kept our glasses filled. We ordered the pork chop dinner that came with risotto and vegetables. My husband loved the veggies and risotto but was not thrilled with the chop. He wishes he would have asked for a steak knife as it was difficult to cut with the butter knife provided. It was tender enough but neither of us cared for the flavor. I had the Primavera. It was a bit bland. I had to salt it several times. Our favorite part of the meal was dessert. We had a piece of lemoncello cake that was flavorful, creamy and light. We both thought it was great. We had about $20 left on our gift card and were disappointed we couldn't use the balance as the tip. So we ordered two more desserts to bring home to use the balance of the gift card. We brought homemade a piece of Italian cream cake that was as good or better than the lemoncello cake and it was a huge piece of cake. We also have a piece of caramel sea salt cheesecake which was pretty good. It was loud in the small space and a bit difficult to have a conversation across the table. The background music did not help with this issue. The staff were friendly and helpful boxing up our leftovers. Tables have white cloth tablecloths and the owner was making rounds to greet all the patrons which was nice. We discovered there is parking in the back of the restaurant, as so many of the spaces in the area have signs indicating you will be towed if you park there. We had to park on the street about a block down.

Next, the drinks...I had white sangria and my sister got the limoncello spritz. Both were delicious, well served, and generous pours. For appetizers, we got the goat cheese spread and garlic butter mussels. This is where we learned about the BREAD. I could survive on this bread. Thank goodness portions are large. My brother got a cup of the tomato bisque, which is served with puff pastry on top. For dinner, we ordered carbonara, jumbo shrimp limone, and lasagna. Everything was delicious and came with MORE BREAD. YAY! Much came home with us but it all was enjoyed by lunchtime today. Delicious. For dessert, my mom will always bring something from her own freezer. Some restaurants may frown on this, but our server brought us plates and forks, a knife for cutting the small cake, and even 2 little candles to blow out and the lighter to light them. So sweet. She also brought us a happy birthday decorated plate of little canolis, which were much better than that store bought cake. Lol Can't wait to return, especially for drinks and appetizers. There is a beet and burrata salad I've got my eye on! (I can't believe I didn't take any other photos)

Started with the crab dip- great flavor and texture, fresh scallions and shaved cheese which helped build up the crab flavor- even got extra bread for the dip since it was a good sized portion, Baby green salad- fresh, crisp lettuces, cucumbers and tomatoes in a vinaigrette Bacon wrapped pork loin was flavorful and tender on the inside while the bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. The highlight was the squash - almost like a veggie lasagna. Char grilled cab ribeye- cookedto perfection (medium rare) with potatoes.
