Great service, good food quality, classy atmosphere and drinks! Great place to celebrate special occasions or just a spontaneous dinner night out. Always a solid dining choice for the area.

I wish I could give this place 6 stars! My wife and I decided to have a date night and try J. Alexander's and I can't believe we haven't been here before. First, the server was absolutely amazing. She was kine, funny and she made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. I finished my water once... And she came by 15 seconds later for a refill. And she apologized. She was so attentive. The food was also pretty awesome. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, my wife had sea food pasta. My chicken was so good. I haven't had chicken like that in forever. We finished it off with the chocolate cake. Thankfully, our server warned is that the portions were huge, because we almost ordered too. One was more than enough.

Service is fantastic, cocktails are well made and done right! The prime rib was a bit too salty for my wife's taste. My sirloin was average. The wedge salad was excellent and the carrot cake is the best ever!

Visited J Alexander's for the first time and it did not disappoint. We were greeted warmly and promptly, then seated immediately. We had reservations so I'm sure that helped. It's a beautiful establishment with soft lighting and lots of natural light as well. The fully stocked bar was a few feet away from dining area which was perfect so as to not hear what ever was on TV during dinner. Our server was friendly and quite efficient as he shared some of his favorites on the menu. We started with cocktails and a spinach dip appetizer. The cocktails were refreshing and the dip was delicious. Our entrees included a steak w/ smashed potatoes which was juicy and delicious. The other entree was a seafood pasta that included shrimp, crab and scallops. The pasta was creamy and had a little kick to it which elevated the taste. We ended with a generous portion of Key Lime pie. It was devine. The crust itself was to die for. Can't wait to visit again.

Heard lots of good things about steak maui! Wanted to give it a try. I must say that we definitely underestimated the portions. It was huge! It kind of had a barbecue flavored sauce, which I didn't really enjoy. Other than that, service was amazing. It was an enjoyable dining experience!

Longtime lover of J Alexander's!! But the basse location is the only one I frequent. First time at this location. The vibe is very different. I feel like I am eating at a budget hotel restaurant lounge. Food was good. But the shrimp even seemed different at this location from the other. Service was great. I can't knock them for that. I don't know. Maybe just not for me. Go try for yourself.

    Dirty Martini. Delicious.

Amazing atmosphere and exceptionally professional staff. We were lucky to have Marlysa taking care of us , she went above and beyond to make my wife feel truly special on her birthday. A particularly memorable touch was when the chef personally came to our table to wish her a happy birthday. That level of attention really stood out. We'll definitely be back.

Restaurant area! Excellent espresso martini, wonderful Lasagna special company and great service

Our first experience at J Alexander's was not at all what we were expecting. The restaurant was beautiful. We had a wonderful server who made the most delicious martini I have had. Sadly everything that came out of the kitchen was a huge disappointment. Caesar salad had potential to be great but way too heavy on the anchovies. The Maui steak was a disaster. Not once but twice it arrived at our table looking like it had been microwaved. Management apologized but the disaster was clear to us all. We may try again and order very basic items.

Tonight's dinner was perfect from the friendly staff, to the ambiance of the restaurant and of course the food and drinks. Highly recommend the wedge salad to start, it was delicious. The bread and butter were brought out super fresh and hot. But the star of the evening was the delicious Tuscan steak, cooked to perfection with a side of mashed potatoes. Excellently paired with a glass of Austin Hope wine. Ohh and don't leave there without getting the carrot cake. Absolutely the best in town !! Highly recommend you guys trying them out. This was the location off Fiesta Texas Dr.

What kind of dress code? Before I had read no phone zone but can't seem to find. I thought a finer dining establishment.

Business casual to dress-up is the best fit. Sure there are people in shorts and t-shirts but this is a finer-dining establishment.

    Is there outdoor seating?

Currently, no; But I did talk to management about it and it is something they want to install.

Immediately upon walking in I fell in love with the rustic yet elegant decor (those chandeliers tho). My girlfriends and I sat at the bar and enjoyed great service during our entire 3 hour visit there. The cocktail and bites we enjoyed were all delicious. During happy hour there are select cocktail and bites you can enjoy for $7 each. My drink of choice for the evening was the perfectly balanced Berry Smash . I was torn on bites but ended up going with the Happy Hour sliders and the pork belly appetizer from the regular menu. Both were soooo good...particularly the Pork Belly which was a perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and savory. This visit redeemed Haywire in my eyes and I'm looking forward to returning during regular hours to explore more of the menu during dinner service.

The Texas-themed setting was cute and comfortable, with a relaxed noise level, and while most of the food was just average, the double pork chop was the clear standout. Portions are huge too, and for the quality you'd expect to pay way more than you do. But the real reason I'm writing this is our server, Ryan (the guy with the cool hair). He was fantastic. Genuinely warm, super attentive, and kept checking in and apologizing for any wait even though the place was slammed for brunch. Found out he's fairly new and you honestly couldn't tell. Our dishes were well prepared with generous amounts of seasoning and good flavours. All elements paired well with each other. You can order here alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. We walked in about 15 minutes before our actual reservation so we hung out at the bar and had a drink. Before we were done with our drinks, the hostess came over to us to let us know our table was ready. I did not know that this was an open kitchen concept but I was thrilled when I seen it. We were seated by the kitchen. I thought it was bd a bit noisy but the kitchen staff was quiet which allowed us to enjoy our meal and conversation. The waitress was very nice and observant. She did not interrupt our conversations, she waited until we sat plates aside as we were done to avoid reaching over us, and she even took pictures for us. She also offered us glasses of prosecco to celebrate with. We ordered the roasted carrots and pork belly for appetizers and the short beef ribs and steak for entrees. The food was so good! I mean, the steak melted in your mouth! I thought the steak at Bohanan's was great but I think Signature got the best of them. The service and food were flawless and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I'll be back for my birthday and other celebrations/events.

One guest was served butter and a pho amuse bouche at the same time so she took a good spoonful of her butter, dipped it into her pho, and ate it because nobody told her what she had just been served. I can't imagine what she was thinking. Started with some fresh bread and a generous medallion of a butter and onion ash roll. Nice touch. The pho came to me cold but I found out it was intended to be hot. I guess if it's not served immediately it gets cold really fast because it's just a sip or two. It was very clean and OK flavor but I prefer the deep, umami richness of a fatty pho broth. Continuing with the amuse bouche, I was served a platter of three pieces--a scotch egg, cornbread truffle and fries, and something unmemorable. The scotch egg and cornbread were OK but at this point I was starting to wonder if I was wasting my time and money. Then I tried the tuna and that was a flavor bomb. Cubed tuna over a creamy coconut sauce with a hint of heat, balanced with fresh citrus and purple potato crisps for some added texture and a tasty salt finish. This was visually stunning and just singing in my mouth. I absolutely loved it! Scallop and caviar topped with smoked king salmon, and crispy leeks. This was rich and decadent and I appreciated the crispy leeks to balance the otherwise soft textures. Wished the lime was a little more pronounced to help brighten and lift some of the richness, but still a very good dish. Charred romanesco broccoli with a romesco sauce and green salsa was served with pickled raisins and a heaping serving of shredded manchego cheese. This was good but not something I'd want to reorder. Raspberry bergamot lemon sorbet was just the refreshing bite needed before the heavy hitters. The Texas Wagyu coulotte was cooked to perfection. It was simple, served with mushrooms, and didn't need a lot of fuss. For desert, I was served a persimmon chocolate mousse with orange, a rolled persimmon slice, and dollops of what tasted like yuzu. As full as I was I was able to finish this all. It was creamy, rich, and balanced with citrus notes. And finally, the service ended with a mixed plate of petit fours which held up well the next day and were all very good -- a brownie, dulce de leche, macaron, chocolate chip cookie, and some sort of citrus gel. In all, I think the tasting menu was worth the price. I think chef did a great job balancing flavors and textures, plating beautifully, and staying true to ingredients while having fun experimenting. If my pho wasn't served cold, I didn't see some poor service, and the extra amuse bouche trio wasn't served I probably would've given this 5 stars. Maybe next time.

We arrived kind of early for lunch, I think it was around 11:30a on a random weekday. The parking lot was kind of full but I found a space. Make sure to inquire about getting parking validation, as my license plate was recognized by the parking service company even though I didn't get any kind of paper ticket. The menu was clubhouse fare, nothing too fancy, which was fine. We shared a Caesar salad, which they split for us into two bowls. The bowls were high sided like soup bowls. Not ideal but it was fine. I really liked the cornbread croutons, and I'm usually not a crouton eater. For my meal I got a cheeseburger with upgraded sweet potato waffle fries. I think my daughter got a grilled chicken burger, I can't recall. Service was great as we were the only people in the restaurant for a while.
