Don't go here to change your tires. I needed a tire shop to change can you set a tires. I figured I'd stop at their shop since no one was there. Well that was the mistake made. The reason why no one's there. The guy was cool which with I was dealing with until an old man came out. I asked them what was the price for mount and balancing and to put on the car. The guy told me that they usually charge 35 but they will give me a deal and mountain balance each wheel for $25 I said great! The guy mounted the tires on the rims and balance them and left them next to the car. I asked him are you going to put them on the car that's what I need. That's when they hit you with another fee.. the old man mentioned how he was 150 years old and deals with situation like this all the time ( had no clue what he was talking about). Called to ask about news tires and they told me they had some in stock for my vehicle. Agreed on a price on NEW tires. After he came out with them. I checked the date code and it was from 2009, the tech was trying to sell me "brand new" tires from 17 years ago and he kept insisting they were still good. While I agree the tires had good tread, the material is no longer good. He charged me for mounting back my old tires back for $50 which I was okay with but then added $20 in "taxes" which made the total go up to $70. read more

I came in to get my tired patched. They must have not torqued correctly because that same tire caused me to have to pull off on the side of the freeway. Was on the way to the mechanic for a shaking/vibration issue and then realized as i was stuck that my wheel was not in place, lug nuts were loose and a couple missing as well. This could have been a dangerous situation, they should be more careful or hire more qualified technicians. read more

First went down the street called Calderon tires and they pointed me to a lady for pricing, looked st my tires and guesstimated s random number. I've had tires mounted a plenty and bounced as soon as she opened her mouth. J and C was more at the usual used tire shop price range and I was glad to tip them. The lady even asked what I was expecting to pay not knowing how to price it herself. Talked to the owner about why business is so slow, turns out yelp still shows that his place was a repair and window place not tire. This is my 'go to' place for changing my tires. I get the used tires because they are about 10-20% used for like a fraction of the price from other locations. This establishment has been here forever and my family has been going here for years. It isn't the most pretty place or the most comfortable place to wait around but the quality of the service is superb. I had to opportunity to speak with the owner and he showed me around his shop. I was in an automotive program at my college and this shop does everything to the standards. The owner showed me why they are better than the competing shop down the street which is more popular, Calderon's. (I told him about my terrible experience at Calderons btw.) He fixed the problem with my vehicle that Calderon could not. I was very pleased with his service, his standards, and his integrity. The process is simple. You drive into the lot that holds about 4 cars, you come out, tell the employee what service you need, the worker leads you to a set of tires that matches your car and tells gives you the description of the tire, you choose, you wait, and you pay. You will leave with great tires and at great prices. The used tires here cost around $60 on average. 5 Stars! read more

We are here after having the tires less than 2 months. They were used and obviously faulty. It blew from the inside a big rip while I had 4 minors in the car on the freeway ramp. Came back here and he says it is not something they are going to cover we could of hit something etc. There is no way possible it was the inside of the tire, no nail or anything. I looked on the street too to see if anything could have done this and there was nothing! They only cover 10 days for flats. This is not a flat it is a complete blowout. I have a van so it could have been worse. I am obviously upset by the safety issue this posed for my family and they should be accountable for a faulty tire and replace it. AVOID!!! If I could give less I would. They miscommunicated with me about the tire I wanted (Michelin) then she said yes. Gave me a price and i agreed when they put the tire on I looked and it was some no name off brand. Then I expressed my disappointment and told me it would be more. So I after arguing back and forth and showing that they're over charging me by $90 ($259 for a Michelin defender tire) I got ahold of the car owner. She told me she has warranty so I go back and they charge me $69 for a used tire (fine) but $40 for labor when originally it was suppose to be $69 for everything. All in all I got ripped off for $40 and luckily that they even gave me anything back since they tried to resist just having solid customer service and keeping the buyer happy for future work. This is one of the few places that have very light metallic tint (70% transmission), (SolarGard or Sungard, I forget), which is so light you can put it in the front windows and you and the cops can't tell you have it, yet it cuts down the sun's heat significantly. It helps the tint-less illusion to put darker (30 or 50%) tint in the rear so that the fronts look lighter. These guys were inexpensive, yet the service is good. The best and most affordable tire place in the area. It's probably gone unnoticed because it's a small ethnic family owned business right smack in the middle of Montrey Highway and there are like a billion tire places in that area. Don't ask me why but I have alot of experience with tire shopping and this place has friendly service and they won't strip your lugz with their impact drill the way some of these places will. Plus, they only cost about $5.00 more than the most affordable tire place I've found so far. Used to be my go to place, however, after getting faulty used tires more than once and being charged for their repeated damaged merchandise, I will not return. The stems on my used tires were leaking. Went back for repair and to purchased yet another used tire, which to no avail had same issue. When I returned for fix, I was charged once again with no apologies for their poor merchandise. The guy is a crook. I've bought tires on more than one occasion, have gone for tire repair, and referred customers and I can say made a bad choice in doing so. Although the service may be quick, expect he's not customer service driven much less will he stand behind the damaged goods he will overcharge you for. Honestly, you don't even get what you pay for in this case, and my advice is to steer clear from this place of business. You're average cost for a not so good used tire will be from $45 to $65.
