I brought another loose wheel. First experience was so good, I blindly trusted that the correct tire was installed. IT WAS NOT. I came back today to discuss how to resolve. I respectfully approached the first employee to discuss my issue. He was INCREDIBLY RUDE and spoke to me like I was trying to cheat them. Second employee came out and and we were able to have a professional calm conversation. I showed a picture of the bad tire I had brought in prior. He still insisted they checked and installed the correct tire so that I'd have to pay for a another tire. I decided to leave at that point primarily BECAUSE THE FIRST EMPLOYEE MADE ME FEEL LIKE A PIECE OF SHIT. Second employee said it was because his "English was not good". BULLSHIT. I'm a child of immigrants, married to an immigrant of his same ethnicity, and have immigrant family members who are small business owners. They DO NOT speak in this way. So if you want to be sold the WRONG tire, then treated like SHIT for trying to have a calm professional disscussion about THEIR MISTAKE, then this your place. Enjoy. read more

1 Star - Very Disappointing Experience I came here after getting a flat tire and decided to support this business because I wanted to support a Vietnamese-owned shop. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. They sold me a replacement tire for nearly $200, and I later found out it was an off-brand tire instead of anything reputable. Within about a month, the tire started constantly losing air, and the ride quality became noticeably rough and unstable. What really concerned me was that the tire started developing visible bulges/bubbles on the sidewall after barely any time (see photos). That is a serious safety issue for a tire that was practically new. I came back hoping they would at least inspect it properly or honor some kind of warranty, but instead I was met with excuses and avoidance. No accountability, no real help, and no effort to make things right. I later had another tire shop inspect it and was told the tire quality was very poor. Spending nearly $200 on a tire that becomes unsafe after only a month is unacceptable. I genuinely wanted to support a local Vietnamese-owned business, but unfortunately this experience made me regret that decision. I won't be returning. read more

TLDR: First, they didn't tighten my lug nuts properly, and then they went full Hulk mode and over-tightened them until some snapped right off the wheel studs. I drove off thinking everything was fine, but my car started doing the shake dance. I had to bring it back to them, and lo and behold, they hadn't tighten the lug nuts all the way. A few weeks later, I went to another shop, Shop B, to upgrade my springs. Shop B drops the bomb: the last shop cranked those lug nuts so hard that some shattered, leaving lug nut shrapnel clinging to my studs. This shop was the last one to work on my wheels. Now, I'm stuck with wheels that won't budge unless I shell out for new wheel studs. Price-wise, they're a steal, but honestly, their lack of care and professionalism is a buzzkill. You get what you pay for, and when it comes to your wheels and tires, I would not trust this shop with my life. read more

These guys totally saved us. We are from out of town and hit an object that popped the sidewall of our tire on the Tully exit. We were told by a number of tire shops that we would not find our tire size in stock. VIP on Senter sent us over to this VIP where they had a used one with about the same amount of wear for a reasonable price. They had us in and out in about 10 minutes and we were able to still make the San Jose State football game shortly after kickoff. Both VIP tire shops were very helpful and knowledgeable today. Only good thing they offer is being open on a Sunday ! Purchased 2 used tires. They couldn't even rinse off one tire that had mud all on outside of tire. Didn't offer receipt. First off his name is Joe and he tried to get loud with me over text on miscommunication error of his. Most owners would apologize or even if they still disagree try to find a solution and not yell at customers. Things get done with little to no care, just to get you out for the next customer. Brought a set of wheels here that were new to get tires. Inspected the wheels and there isn't even a speck of dust on them, straight out the box. After getting tires put on, there were many scratches on them and the gentleman said they were already there. How? When I inspected them all when I received them and it came straight from the manufacturer... Looking at other reviews, it seems like I'm not the only one that has experienced this at VIP tire. Then when I came back with different tires , they said they still couldn't do it without even trying. They also charged me for dismounting the tire that was practically off the wheel already. They also charged me for trying to use bead seal on a wheel I had mounted here and it still leaked a lot to the point I had to pull Over at a gas station to get air. I always receive the best service from on the spot quotes to tires/alignment completed in a timely manner. The professionalism of Edgar, Carlos and Jack are outstanding! Always friendly and eager to assist there customers in any situation. I also love that if you come across a nail in your tire, they will plug it and seal it or whatever and on you go! STAY CLEAR OF THIS DUMP!! I bought a NEW tire off them around April and yesterday while on the freeway with my family, my "new" tire literally separated from the seems. The entire center portion of my new tire peeled away. Crazy part was, the tire didn't blow up (thank god) . It looks like this "new" tire was an old tire that was altered or fixed with new center rubber. (See my pics). I than took it back to the very same people and asked them about it. Without hesitation the Asian man tells me it's not his problem. But I bought the tire off him less than a month ago?! I understand faulty tires but this is next level. They replaced my old tire with an even worse tire which i didnt know at the time. Yesterday i found out that the used tire I received had 3 plugs and was cracking. Great customer service and they work really fast. When I got there (easy to find) there was no one ahead of me. I was in and on the road in about 20 minutes. I had called ahead and spoke to Joe about getting 4 tires mounted. He quoted a good price and that's what I paid. I will definitely go back for the friendly customer service and drama-free work. I was greeted by an employee with a ponytail who kicked off our conversation being very aggressive and rude. This place was an... Unusual experience. These guys SPAM the heck out of craigslist. And when I say spam, I mean every second listing is for them. It's run by a young asian guy named Joe, who is pleasant enough but has zero customer service skills. If you call up to ask if he has a particular tire in stock? 'Yeah we got it', size? 'Yeah we got it', Brand/model? 'Yeah we got it'. Go down to the store, and it's another story. The only tires in stock were off-brand Chinese and Taiwanese tires, something better not used when putting your families safety on the line. I also witnessed the staff offer another customer a 'cash, no tax' deal - Isn't that illegal? They DO however, have cheap second hand tires, if that's your sort of thing. I was going to call to talk to the owner but was told by two other customers that went here that I would be wasting my time as the owner would not do anything to fix it. Not just the worst tire shop I've been in but the worst business I think I've ever seen. I called these guys confirming they had my tire size when I only needed two of them the guy convince me to drive all the way from Palo Alto to San Jose because he made it sound like he had a stockpile of them. He told me he had ones for 45$ all the way up to 65$ when I got there he had nothing more then 2 mismatched off brand tires that he was asking $15 less than what the tire would cost brand new.
