Also for reference, the California roll was $8 and it had avocado, cucumber, and crab. The miso soup was of VERY poor quality. Clearly made from bulk food service quality powder. And this was the worst part: I was charged $3 for WATER. You think you would get a quality sushi/Japanese steakhouse in the downtown but definitely not here. I would be okay with the price if it were quality, but it just was not.

But they should let customers know if they don't have the ingredients to make what they ordered, especially if they pay extra for those ingredients.

Worst experience I have had in a while. I can't rate the food or the service because we never made it too a table. My parents love this place, mom's in the hospital down the street and my father says let's go to J Henry's, PM Sunday night. We walked up to the front of the restaurant and there was a group of people outside drinking and one playing some music. At first I thought maybe there was a dinner party who wanted to come out and smoke. That was my thought until one of the staff walked in the door, a young lady who was told by the busser that her table needed things. We stood at the host stand for five minutes and watched as four people passed us without greeting us. My father who has dined at J Henry's every Sunday for years said, we should probably go. We drove down to La Parilla, a restaurant he hadn't tried yet. We had great service, a great meal and were well taken care of. I oversee five restaurants, the last thing I want my places to do is send a guest to another restaurant to have a great experience. Don't get me wrong, I know that it happens. I write this more in hopes that the owner sees it and can adjust before more business is lost. read more
