Went to this place last week. It was new and very clean with super friendly staff. I tried Iron Monkey and Garlic edamame, my all time favorites. They actually have another location in Corona which I have been to many times. And I am so glad they finally opened a new one closer to my home. We went here for lunch today. Ordered the salmon fresh roll, cheesy gold dragon , iron monkey and Eskimo roll. Bill was just over $40. Good portions and prices. They had outdoor seating and signs saying masks required. All staff wore masks and service was good. We appreciate their masks policy and will return. read more

The environment here is very mellow they play good music & have nice light bulbs hanging outside in the entrance that gives it an overall unique look. They have nice booths & dining area and nice displays on the walk definitely a vibe. read more

This is now my absolute favorite sushi joint. The food is fresh and at a reasonable price. Upon walking in we we're greeted by the friendly staff there. The restaurant is clean and very well kept. We put our order in at the register and it was nothing but polite and friendly people. Our food came out quickly and it was heavenly. Savory, delicious food with a great price! My husband and I got the lemon roll, rainbow roll, double crunchy roll, and the red dragon roll. We were skeptical that we could eat it all and yet our plates were clean and empty at the end. Tried it 2 nights in a row. 1st night: not bad for the money (dragon roll). 2nd night: absolutely horrible. Ordered 2 rolls. Both were bad. Like another reviewer said - the top-sliced seafood's paper thin. It had no flavor and didn't taste right. $16 later and I'm convinced it's not worth it. If I were rating the service they'd get 5 stars. Nicest staff a restaurant could have. Nothing phony about them. Sorry to see the poke place shit down. They had the best salmon. read more

New sushi place I was excited to try because the extremely cheap rolls. Everything under 10 including special rolls! I think this is a temporary pricing for their grand opening so hop on it asap. Good selection of rolls to choose from as well. (I prefer baked rolls and they have more than a few). Interior is spacious, clean, and on a Saturday evening wasn't even very busy. You order like a fast food restaurant at the register and they bring you the food so it's not full service but I don't mind at all. read more

I've ordered and eaten from J Sushi over a dozen time. Just tried to place a phone order and was hassled for wanting to order a side of steamed veggies that I normally order for my daughter when we come and eat here. He said it wasn't on the menu but was willing to charge me a dollar and some change for it. I told him fine and asked about their vegan options. I asked to order a vegetable roll and add avocado which again, I normally order. He then seemed bothered and said the vegetable roll normally comes with fish and HIS BOSS doesn't like making accommodations and altering the menu. Wow! Horrible customer service for average food. A great place for a casual and quick sushi meal. The menu has a wide selection and at a great price. We got the heart attack appetizer, cheesey gold dragon, rainbow roll, and albacore sashimi. The sushi is as good as every other sushi joint in Fullerton, Brea and La Habra area that I've been to but the service and pace need to improve big time if they want us to return. We ordered at 6:20pm and the email confirmation said pickup between 6:49-7:04pm. We got there at 7pm. The cashier said they're working on the last roll and asked us to wait outside. At least 4 other people came, got the food and left while we were waiting still for the last roll. We finally got our order at 7:15pm. Tried it for the first time and was stoked to find such an affordable sushi spot nearby! Orange Roll & Sushi in Fullerton was always my go-to budget sushi joint, but it always seemed just a tad too out of the way to make it worth the drive. But now having this option so close by will easily make J Sushi a regular in my rotation. In short, their selection is great, variety creative, quantities generous, and most importantly, pricing unbeatable. Sure, this may not be the best quality raw fish out there, but for the amazing pricing ($4.99 daily special rolls!) and not having any glaring negatives, anything less than a four star review is just being petty and not having the proper perspective.
