Came here for dinner with a friend and we ordered a lot of different items! The pricing here is really affordable compared to most sushi places in the OC! Highly recommend coming here if you are in Orange and are craving sushi! Most rolls are around $8 to $10 dollars while appetizers range from $3 to $7 dollars! For appetizers, we ordered the seaweed salad, garlic edamame, & baked mussels. The baked mussels were delicious and a must-try here! I liked the nice char on the outside and the flavor of the mussels was excellent! The seaweed salad was refreshing and one of the better seaweed salads I've had at a sushi restaurant. The garlic edamame was also a solid appetizer with plenty of garlic flavor and soy sauce! The rolls and sashimi that we ordered were fresh and delicious. My favorite of the 3 we ordered was the Blazing Night Roll with its spicy crab in the middle and the crunchy flakes mixed with the spicy sauce on the side gave it a really good flavor and the texture was fantastic! It was spicy but not too spicy that I couldn't enjoy it! The other 2 rolls were also good too with the Jungle Tiger Roll being a good contrast compared to the other rolls being a bit more heavy and rich. The onions and cilantro with the spicy tuna was a great counterbalance and I recommend you try this roll if you haven't had it before! The Power of the Sea Roll was very tasty with the unagi on top and the shrimp in the middle mixed with the spicy mayo, it was a hefty roll packed with flavor! Service was excellent with food coming out quickly and the waiters were always checking to make sure we were doing well! Parking is decent here with the restaurant being located in the heart of Orange by CHOC and located in a small plaza, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Indoor dining is a little limited with about 5-6 tables so it might get packed on the weekends! Overall, I give J's Sushi a 4/5! Highly recommended! read more

Delicious sushi at affordable prices!!! My husband and I stopped by J Sushi when we were in the area for a concert at the Honda Center and had the taste buds for some sushi. We decided on this spot after reading the great reviews. Parking was easy and although the place is rather small, we were seated right away. Their menu is simple and has pictures (yay)! I was sad to learn that they do not have a liquor license but it wasn't too much of a deal breaker. We got the teriyaki bowl and shared it, along with a rainbow roll, tornado roll (which comes with deep fried stuffed jalapeños) & the blazing night roll. The Crunchyroll is a little bigger than normal, which is a good thing because we got more more filling, more food, which was pretty good. The Sushi is 10/10 in my opinion. I got the Gold Dragon Roll, Iron Monkey, Salmon Lover, and Super Crunchy. The service was ok. They need to work on people skills. Hello, Well I must say it is just So-so. Better than supermarket sushi but not by much. It is just another sushi place. A lot of very basic items and even those are nothing to write home about. My first time at this restaurant because it's my daughter's favorite sushi place. I wanted to bring her some sushi to cheer her up at Children's Hospital of Orange County. She has been in the hospital for 3 months with my now 14 month old granddaughter. I ordered the mixed tempura with NO sweet potato or potato. It was supposed to be to come with 3 shrimp, but no shrimp. I called them and had to go back for the shrimp. I was given six, which was really nice. When I got home I discovered there were 2 pieces of sweet potato even though it said no sweet potato in capital letters. I called back to tell them and after I got finished I was waiting for a response, but the man hung up on me. Be sure to check your to go orders!!! It's a small casual restaurant with great service and pretty solid sushi! I enjoyed all their rolls, especially the fresh salmon roll! It may also be that we ordered for delivery at a late hour so maybe it wasn't as fresh as it would be during the day. We had a lemon roll, the tuna and avocado were not very fresh and the tuna was on the firm side. Also ordered crunchy roll and spicy tuna. The spicy tuna was a lot more spicier than I had imagined. Amazing food in Orange County, close to Disney relatively. Has a large parking lot. There are 7 - 4 person possibly more tables. The staff is clean, courteous, and helpful. I ordered the Udon soup and was extremely disappointed. The broth was very salty, there was probably a dozen noodles in the whole Large bowl, a sprinkling of green onions, and 4 small slices of tofu. We ordered the: * Rainbow on California Roll * Cheesy Gold Dragon * California Roll with Beef The cheesy dragon gold roll is basically Baked Salmon on top of a traditional Philadelphia roll (mainly cream cheese, avocado, etc.) It came out hot and delicious. The sauce that it came covered in wasn't overpowering the rest of the roll and it was on the sweeter side but also had a bit of a kick to it (very small kick of spice, but still noticeable). The Rainbow on California was great too. Nothing extraordinary since at the end of the day, it's just a california roll (the first roll most people are introduced to if they're not big fans of "sushi").
