I always have to call them to make sure they don't forget my sauces when I do a DoorDash. A girl always answers the phone and is very blunt. "OK I'll put them in there and hangs up"... makes me feel awkward every time.. Tonight I messaged my usual Dasher and asked him to ask for an ice water... he messaged me back and said OK I will get it.. and then later told me that they wouldn't give him one??? Mind you he's been waiting at Jack in the Box 15 minutes for my order.... You guys can't give me an ice water lol... anyways a young boys who work there are always very nice when I go through the drive-through! I have DoorDash like seven times and it has been a bad experience every time. read more

Placed an order at 7:27 pm. Was promised it would be ready by 7:37 + additional 10-20 minutes. Arrived at 7:45, order not ready. Waited the additional time, order not ready nor any updates. Had to leave and abandon my order. Workers seemed understaffed and uncommunicative (though I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt). Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I do not recommend this location to anyone else. If you're reading this, find food and better time elsewhere. read more

So I've lost a total two hours from traffic getting off work in Sac + the wait time only to have to be told to change my order (its OK I worked at Jack I know how it is). The food for the most part was hot and never cold. Only downside of this location is that they pick and choose what items are available? It doesn't make sense because at other restaurants regardless of the hour would supply me. I'm not sure but that's the reason of my 3 stars. Staff would be pretty nice too read more

The food tasted like it was defrosted, and refrozen and then fried in old oil. Would NOT recommend.

Went at noon today to get 2 tacos and a small coke. Drive through was quick. The tacos were lukewarm, soggy and the lettuce was limp. I'm thinking they prepared these ahead and they sat there chilling. Whatever the process, it made for a very disappointing meal. Crossing my fingers I don't get sick from eating it. When I'm looking for a fast food breakfast, I try to see about any deals advertised. I know Burger King has a 2 for $4.00 Breakfast Croissant- wich thingy. I saw Jack has a 2 for $4.00 Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit deal. I wasn't near a Burger King, so I pull into this Jack In the Box. Lately, I've been on a little Jack taco kick, cause those are good for the price. I was hoping these Biscuits and sausage were gonna be as good. Service was fine, took the order, took the money and gave me my food in a short time. A few minutes later I open up my food. The food isn't particularly hot, but edible. The size of the biscuit was about the size of the palm of you hand, so not really big. I found the biscuit to be quite dense and made for a tall sandwich to get into your mouth. The egg was well done. The sausage was good and the cheese melted. As I took my first bite, I notices the dryness of the biscuit and crumbly nature overwhelming the egg, cheese and sausage. The Burger King Croissant with the same fillings is way better and is very tasty compared to this biscuit thing here at the Jack ... for the same price! I wish the Jack deal of 2 for $4.00 was on the Jack Croissant sandwich instead. I'll say this product is edible, but only in a pinch, there's a lot better choices out there. LOL first time ever trying Jack in the Box! Allen and I came here after a long day of tennis tournament (he played, I watched). This specific location is in downtown Davis, so super lively. Parking is somewhat plentiful, but the streets are really dark. Pro tip 1: go on retailmenot and get a bunch of coupons! Pro tip 2: especially if it's your birthday, you can get 2 free tacos and a free dessert! We ordered a couple different things, and I would say the most worth it/tasty was the munchies meal (?). The chicken sandwich was surprisingly yummy and curly fries were so good! I tried their tacos, and thought it was enjoyable. A bit too oily, but pretty generous with the "meat". Only thing not worth is their chicken nuggets/strips- such small portion, and so pricey too! Service here was pretty good, no complaints. I have only one thing to say about Jack in the Box - and that is they're the only fast food chain I've ever eaten at that makes a good fish sandwich (a really big achievement in my book). Their "$5 Deluxe Fish Combo Sandwich" has been the sole reason for my visiting for a long long time now - it's great! The fish tasted pretty darn good to be coming from Jack in the Box and was a real slam dunk when eaten alongside their (better than expected) french fries. And the kicker was I could get both plus a drink for $5??? Indescribable, truly. It unfortunately was too good to last though as they discontinued the fish sandwich for more than a year before just recently, when they announced "Fish is Back!" - something that may excite me as a big fan of the $5 Deluxe Fish Combo Sandwich - but alas it was no longer the $5 Deluxe Fish Combo Sandwich but a $7+ Deluxe Fish Combo Sandwich. A travesty! And something about it costing just a couple extra dollars removes some of the magic from the grand taste of it. Never order through the app. We have tried it so many times for convenience. We have turned up at least three times and had them be sold out of some - all of our order. The staff say they have no way to cancel the order and will offer you something else. Unfortunately on two of those occasions there was nothing else we wanted and we had to do a credit card chargeback to get refunded as neither the staff or app are able to do it. Told that this Jack in the box was open 24/7 which was exciting as I get the late night cravings all the time. Drove 15 minutes and went up to the door to find both doors were closed. Tried getting somebody's attention only to be ignored by everyone. Thought it was an accident and even tried going through the drive-thru. Nobody responded. The food here was really good but the pricing has increased significantly and the portion size has gotten smaller. The employees here are absolutely amazing. They were out of teriyaki sauce, and the lady went above and beyond by giving me a drink cup filled with some sauce to make up for them, not having packets since they were out she definitely deserves a raise for going above and beyond. Due to this experience, this is what makes people like establishments like this besides the pricing, however, these fast food chains are getting ridiculously expensive, and I was shocked that the chicken teriyaki bowl size has significantly shrunk since I've last been here! read more

If there are enough employees present to cook and handle the drive thru, the dining room should be open. This is outrageous! My friend and I were in the mood for some hashbrowns last Sunday. We made the cruel discovery that McDonald's stopped doing breakfast all day, so we decided to go to Jack in the Box. While in line, I realized that I could also try the Tiny Tacos I had heard so much about. My friend also got a Extreme Sausage sandwich. The lady taking our drive-thru order didn't seem too happy that day but everybody has their off-days so I don't hold it against her. We still got our food in good time and that's all that matters to me. What also matters to me is good food. The hashbrowns were exactly what we were looking for. My Loaded Tiny Tacos were decent. I'm not sure if I would order them again but I certainly didn't hate it. Overall, the quality of the food was exactly what we expected and it satisfied our cravings. The last three times I've visited (which is not often) they were out of chicken sandwiches... so today I asked for chicken nuggets instead, which they were also out of. At this point it became frustrating so I asked them to just change my small curly fries to a medium and add a large diet coke. I saw on the screen that they rang me up for a medium french fries so I corrected them, reminding them I wanted medium curly fries not french fries. When I got my food and drove away, I checked my bag to see that I had received a SMALL curly fries and the drink was a regular coke instead of diet coke. This place is horrible! Their soda machine is broken and spilling water all over the lobby in copious amounts, reaching the doors. The manager hasn't done JACK about it (get it? Jack..) and is resorting to hanging the carpets outside as if that's going to fix anything besides sopping wet carpets from the machine. Yesterday I watched the employee Denae walk around the counter with a bucket and a cup to scoop the water that was overflowing from the grate down the front of the machine. She was able to fill the ENTIRE bucket with what was starting to overflow. She worked on that and then walked into the back. She came out a minute or so later with a mop bucket and a mop, trying so hard to mop up the water. She kept apologizing to customers that were trying to maneuver around the watery mess when it wasn't her fault!! I applaud her for her hard work. The drive thru cashier was polite and asked for James or Josh (some guy in the background wearing a gray shirt), and the guy returned the box hardly any more full than it was before.
