Horrible food, horrible service, worst Jack in the Box I've ever seen, don't ever come here for any reason.

After a wild night out at Blondie's, you'll often find yourself landing here. Jack in the box is my favorite fast food chain so this location is pretty average in comparison to the better ones I've been too. This one really fluctuates over the years, staff and the quality used to be really good here but now it's pretty mediocre. My favorite things to get are the sourdough Jack, curly fries, and tacos. The nuggets are good, not quite as good as mcnuggets though. I recently tried the Philly cheese steak sandwich which was tasty and had the perfect amount of melted cheese on top. The curly fries weren't cooked well this time though. read more

The wait time can be hours at drive through Employees working on 6/4/22 around 4:45 am are not working. Hard enough they are just standing their talking lol I get if you have break but they do this every night not professional if manger is on shift he or she should be looked into because they do not operate an efficient crew I was in line for 20 minutes and half the line of cars left that your money leaving look at parking lot cameras to confirm and inside too read more

I don't even think they deserve one star. How can you be out of tacos? Jack in the Box tacos are a staple... I came at 2:00pm and you are out of tacos. Secondly, ordered one salad and a small fry (I WAS THE ONLY ONE IN LINE) and it took over 15 minutes. Does the owner just not care? I see his responses but are you actually going to make changes? Found a hair in my salad, chicken tasted foul, and the curly fries were hard and tiny fried bits rather than actual curly fries. Total waste of money! I ordered a #26 breakfast combo at drive-through with coffee. Hash brown was soggy due to excess oil. Coffee was good, but when I bit into the sandwich it had a 3-4 inch long black-colored hair in the middle. My tongue first noticed the hair. Using my fingers, I removed the hair from my mouth. This was a bad experience. I was disappointed. I have been eating at this location off-on since 1977. I won't be eating there for a long time. read more

Worse Jack in the Box. I came here at 2am for my lunch and they told me their cook was ok break for 30 minutes. So I came back 2 hours later for my break cause I was still hungry and they tried to tell me the same thing. So when I confronted the employees she tried to change her story and say she couldn't take orders because she was sick. If you're sick stay the fuck home! These people are nothing but lazy af. Never coming here ever again and you better believe I'm complaining to cooperate. I was at the drive thru when Bryan V. referred to me as "girl." "At the pay window he told me "I can't hear you girl" in a condescending tone. The screen had stopped working and we were trying to edit our order but he tried to tell us to just order the incorrect one. He had told us to just mobile order, which we were doing, until he tried to persuade us to order the incorrect one. I do not appreciate this condescending manner and the attempt to persuade us to order what is not wanted when it is easily fixable. read more

Absolutely terrible service and food. It was around 12am and I was hungry so i went online to check what places were open and had decided to go to this abomination. I saw that they accepted walk ins until three and decided to bike there not ready for the disappointment. When i got there the doors were locked but I saw someone eating inside. I somehow managed to grab the attention of what seemed like a worker but was ignored. The only option left was drive through. I desperate for nourishment decided to suck up what little pride I had and waited in the drive through. Unsurprisingly I got the wrong order. Jack in the box is awesome man. I love their fries and their shakes. But the one time I went there, it turned all ghetto on me. I mean, I felt like I was back in the bay area with all these ghetto people coming in. And I didn't know ghetto people existed in Davis. Sometimes at midnight and you're craving something, there aren't many options in Davis since things close by then. Jack-in-the-Box drive thru is open until 2am most nights and the weekends, it's opened 24 hours. So I had a coupon for a Sourdough cheesesteak (Buy one get one free). So I pull up to the drive thru window and some guy asked me what I want. I tell him about the coupon. I also had another coupon for 2 free tacos. Then he tells me only one coupon per car and I was just shocked. For some reason, I thought I could stack coupons but I guess not. So I was a little disappointed. He let me go this one time though just because I didn't know. I guess I had no idea you couldn't use more than one coupon... I guess I don't use coupons enough to notice? Anyway, I pull up to the window and I pay and give them my coupons. For a fast food joint, this place is not fast. I was the only person in line and waiting. I expected my food to be ready in 1-3 minutes but I sat there really bored and awkwardly in my car. They need to be faster, cmon - chop chop! At least, the guy was nice to me when he handed me my food and asked if I wanted hot sauce. I am not a big fan of Jack-In-The-Box and I think the only thing worth getting here are the tacos. They are 2 for $1. They aren't amazing though but they're greasy, filled with meat and some cheese. They are not healthy either. Someone told me it's not real meat in there but I don't know. I give this place 4 stars because it's the best place to go to after a bar or club. Since the bars in downtown Davis are close by, it's an easy walk here. The inside is open until 3AM, perfect timing to sit and eat starchy food without having to use a drive-through. The service is alright. There's some nice workers and there's some non-attentive, mean-looking workers. There might be some obnoxious college kids at night though, which is fun most times. 2-tacos! Breakfast jack! I just drove through this location to pick up a mobile order. On my order yesterday, I had regular Coke and I was given a diet. I explained to the lady at the speaker box (was told her name is O-ness) and asked her if I could have it replaced. She said yes, she ran out of the Coke "with sugar" yesterday and gave me diet. Then she rang up my Coke. I explained that I would like it for free since I got the wrong one yesterday, and she said she couldn't do that without a receipt. I was shocked. She just told me that she gave me the wrong product yesterday and hoped I wouldn't discover it, but was requiring a receipt to give me what I had already ordered and paid for yesterday. She refused to give me the Coke at the window without the receipt, even though I had proof of the mobile order. I told her I would wait for the manager, and she said she's not here and walked away and left me sitting there for a long time. I had to get out of my car and knock on the window several times before a gentleman came over. Usually come here and everything is fine. 1) Used a coupon for free 99 cent tacos, but never got the discount. I ordered 4 tacos,but only got 2. Okay, I've worked in service and the easiest thing to do is for me to give you 1 cent and you give me a dollar back. The people are always rude on the speaker , they basically toss your food out the window and 9 times outta 10 the food is cold. Quite possibly the worst fast food experience I've ever had. It seems as though I'm next in line to tell my story. I go in around 1am 6/19 with my bf. We first wait 10-15 in the drive thru watching other cars become impatient and leave. When we get to the front, we order. But then it goes silent. We wait another 5 minutes saying hello every so often. Eventually I leave the drive thru and park in the parking lot. We experienced the same wait we did outside, inside, without being acknowledged once. After some time, we were able to make our order. However when the food comes out, it resembled prison slop. I immediately ask for a refund, but was told that no one in the establishment knows how to do one. They then offer me a gift card. I refuse. Throughout all this, they are laughing at me. I ask to speak to the manager and was told that they are not there, and to come later at 8pm. We leave with my receipt. I go there around 10:30pm with receipt in hand. I am told that the manager isn't there and once again, no one knows how to do a refund. I ask when will he be in the next day 6/20, I'm told he'll be in at 7-8am. I get off work at 7am so I say perfect, I'll go after work. Next day, I get there. Surprise, he's not there! And now no one knows when he'll be in. I come back later in the day, around 3:20, am told he's in a meeting. "Give him 20 minutes." So wait. Come back at 3:45pm, he's not here. Ridiculous! After going back and forth with two female employees, the supervisor says she'll call him. Comes back and begins to do the refund. Wait what?! So you could've done it this whole time! "Yes, I just needed approval." Wooow...okay. Why didn't you say this this whole time? You didn't know how to do one. But when I get my "refund" receipt, it's not the same order at all. She's claiming it is. Look below at pics for reference. When I look at my bank statement, it's not showing. She claimed it's instant. Then it turned into 3-24 hours! But then she does this. She proceeds to rip my original copy in half! Claiming that she thinks I'm going to use it again in the future to get another refund. What??! So now the argument has turned into getting the bottom receipt back. By this time, she's threatening to call the cops! It took talking to 2 other employees to get it back. I say I won't take it, I'll just take a picture. I do so and leave. It wouldn't be until later that night, (tonight 6/20), that I realized what she had actually done. She never refunded me my money. She went into her system, found an order with a close enough total, and printed me out that receipt, claiming she refunded me. Hence why it's titled a "reprint" at the top. I'm in such shock. The pettiness, incompetent attitude, blatant disrespect, and profound lies that I've been met with today will always remind me to never eat here again. Whoever hired these people needs to do some reflection. I will be calling corporate, or whoever I need to to make sure these people never do this to someone else again. read more
