It's absolutely wild how big the portions are - and as someone who doesn't typically love salad, these had enough unique ingredients infused into them that I found them quite delicious. The garlic fries weren't anything crazy special and honestly felt more like a plate of garlic with a side of fries - wish I did the urban fries instead. Wish there was a bit more meat + corn + rice on the achiote chicken salad, but again it was really good. Well-seasoned chicken with a western-flair. The Western BBQ steak salad was the same way - lots of greens, not a proportional amount of toppings for my liking - but when I got the toppings (especially the steak and onion strings) I was in heaven. Looking for a quick dinner after a long work day, I quickly picked Jack's. You order your food at a counter. They obviously do a large amount of pickup or takeout. I decided on a pork bowl, though the salads also looked good. I didn't receive a refill on my Iced Tea. The Carnitas Pork Bowl... way too many sliced Jalapeño's that I removed. I wish they had given me a choice of removing them beforehand. Also a bit heavy on the sour cream. Thankfully my removal of the Jalapeños took the excess sour cream. Service was relatively quick to take my order and deliver my food to the table... but don't expect any checking after you sit down, and grab your silverware before you sit. read more

Did not attend on the experience I had today ordered a turkey plate. Which did not come with what I stated after paying, so I had to wait all over again and order everything separate in order to get the part of the turkey that I requested originally, which was a leg that they weren't equipped in the computer to give me then I led-to doing a refund and do a second ordering. now that the order had to be corrected and this meant I would be paying more which I didn't have a problem with from the beginning since it could not be in a turkey meal, they gave me the driest piece of turkey that they can find, where I can barely eat the skin without choking on it and let's say it was so overcooked along with the vegetables I was not getting ready to go through another round of refund. It almost felt like it was done on purpose, after complaining about the misunderstanding of the person who took my order after repeating myself three times. sad to say this was one of my favorite places to eat and enjoy with my family and also my companies for catering services. It seems to be no Customer satisfactory today and a turn off from Me support this company. Hope everyone else enjoys because also having a buddy system with the employees and the manager and not correcting as a manager. As I am a big comfort food fan, I've always found "Jack Urban Eats" to be fairly consistent. Whether you're trying their sandwiches, salads, steak, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, this place has something for everyone. They have been a Sacramento staple over the years with 9 locations in the greater Sacramento area. The location I am focusing on is the one in North Natomas (off of Natomas Blvd & Del Paso Rd) in the Park Place Shopping Center. Since I have not yet eaten at this particular location, I was excited to try out their food as well as get an idea of their restaurant. It is quite sizable with ample seating throughout. There is also a fairly decent outdoor patio on the more comfortable Sacramento days. I decided to dine in during the afternoon of Saturday 2/19/2022 at around 1:35pm. Since I was starving, I ended up going with their "Classic Tri-Tip Sandwich" and a serving of their "Santa Fe Chicken Salad". To drink, I went with a Mr. Pibb. One thing that makes the ordering process (at all Jack's Urban Eats) is the line. Many people get confused whether to order at the register or the line where the food is located. I've noticed this at many of their locations but not a big deal once you know how the process is. Basically after you pay, you get a number (if you're dining in) and sit anywhere to your liking. As far as my tri-tip sandwich, it was just average at best as there wasn't a whole lot of flavor in the meat itself. Furthermore (as shown from the pic), this was cooked medium rare with lots of noticeable pink. Fortunately, the bread and seasonings made up for it. Keep in mind, I've eaten their tri-tip sandwiches at other locations but this was just a 3 out of 5 stars. However, the Santa Fe Chicken Salad was delicious with a ton of juicy seasoned chicken pieces and the right amount of dressing. Overall, "Jack's Urban Eats" can be a hit or miss as I am giving this experience a very generous 4 out of 5 stars. The service was excellent even though they were swamped with customers while the ambiance was top notch. And with their extensive menu, everyone should find something to their liking. read more

I've been going to jacks for years and love it. Whenever I'm feeling a crave for their urban fries I always enjoy it. Typically, I am not a fan for blue cheese however, their urban fries has changed my mind. Recently, I went here with my kids and I got the tri-tip plate two family size urban fries, one son got the steak salad and the other got the tri-tip plate. We all were thoroughly satisfied with our meals. The service was really nice and welcoming, the cashier offered us suggestions and it was an easy process. The only downsides to Jack's Urban Eats that I've found is they're on the pricier side and their Mac & Cheese leaves much to be desired, but other than that they're great! Full disclosure, I've only ordered from Doordash and haven't actually been to the restaurant. I've eaten Jack's Urban Eats two times now and every time I've been very impressed with their portion sizes, food quality, and taste. I've had their Chinese Chicken Salad, Fries, Urban Fries, Achiote Chicken Bowl, and Mac & Cheese. The only thing I wouldn't order again is their Mac & Cheese which lacked creamy cheesiness. I even saved some for the next day and warmed it up adding my own shredded cheese which still didn't make it satisfying enough. Their fries however are super crispy and are still hot when they arrive which is incredibly impressive for take-out fries! The Urban Fries are topped with spicy chili oil, bleu cheese dressing, and chili flakes - sooo delicious and mouthwatering, not that spicy at all. Their Achiote Chicken Bowl and Chinese Chicken Salad are both huge and are great saved for a second meal for later. The cost seems worth it when you consider this. Their chicken is really tender, juicy, and tasty and the Achiote Chicken Bowl is packed with a variety of nutritious ingredients like chickpeas, black rice, and kale. The cherry on top of their dishes is their perfectly flavorful house-made sauces and dressings - plum vinaigrette, bleu cheese dressing, and roasted jalapeño vinaigrette, all incredible! The location is really good. It's inside a busy shopping center surrounded by houses. It's close to my own house! I'd say that Jack's is a Natomas staple at this point. They have been around for what feels like forever and have consistently kept up their quality of food. For their new updated COVID procedures, there is now indoor seating (in addition the the outdoor heated patio). The staff is friendly and very fast. Our meal was basically ready a minute after we sat down! The portions are decently sized for their price. I'd say it is rather expensive as you probably won't walk out for under $20, $30+ if you are eating for two. However, the flavor compensates the expensive price. The staff is constantly sanitizing the restaurant. The experience of the speed and ambiance of modern pop music inside is what really brings the meal together.
