I ordered a chicken Caesar salad to go and asked for added steak and artichokes. Picked it up and got home and noticed they didn't add chicken. I paid for the extra add ons and got jipped. I tried to call the number on record (google and yelp) to see if they can have a new one ready for me when I get there and the phone rang twice before a voice said the number could not be reached. I am not sure what kind of business this is but it is not professional or convenient. Poor customer service! I'm not quite sure who trained their management, but someone should be fired. Management has an attitude problem & prefer to argue with their customers instead of resolving situations. They don't take ownership for anything. They'd rather blame you than accept that something may have gone wrong or that a mistake was made by their staff. Very unprofessional! I've never experienced such disrespect as a paying customer. I can't even tell you how many times I've ordered take out just to get home to find something missing. I had to start opening every box to double-check the order before leaving. You certainly can't call the restaurant to let them know of an issue, because they don't have a working phone in the establishment. What a joke! This used to be my go-to place for dinner, especially in the hot Sacramento summers. But the last few times I've been here, it has been barely mediocre. First, they used to offer a "half" salad and a "full" salad, but now they only offer a "full" that LOOKS like a half. Very chintzy on the greens, turkey, and add-ons. If it had only happened once, that would be one thing--but it's been the last 3-4 times I've been, and I've subsequently written this place off. Maybe new management? I don't know, but I deserve more than 3 marinated mushrooms on my salad. And maybe even worse has been the attitude of the workers. I ordered a side of mac and cheese and instead of putting it in the usual container, she slopped it in a cardboard box (which immediately absorbed the liquid!) When I asked for a container she said they were short on lids and needed to save them for soup. I also ordered the " cheesy bread" and got a half piece but she charged me the full $1 price. All this might be more understandable if this was actually a restaurant, but for counter "service" it was unacceptable. I mean, really--we're talking at most $2 worth of vegetables! Today was my first experience at Jack's Urban Eats. I've lived in Natomas for nearly 3 years and have never ventured over there. After I read all the glowing reviews here on Yelp!, I decided to give them a try. They aren't half-bad! I had the BBQ tri-tip sandwich and really enjoyed it. I received a generous portion of meat and overall the sandwich was delicious. However, I do have a couple of quarrels. Disorganization. The line was a bit out of whack since they have one person manning their big-salads and one person manning their sandwiches (which are their two staples). As a result people end up jumping in front of others in line and vice-versa as the cashier is trying to figure out who ordered what. That, and it seems like the lunch crew isn't on the same page on some regards. They seem to do a hell of a business since they were insanely busy at noon - but I mean I was asked 4 different times if I wanted any sides or something to drink then as I was paying for my meal I was drilled again for a drink. I know they try to upsell this stuff but how many times do you have to say no? Other than needing some organizational skills in the kitchen, I would definitely dine here again. My second and only other complaint are the prices. My sandwich was $8, which I guess is average for a tri-tip, but don't go in here expecting In-N-Out prices or something. Recommended! read more

I love this place! I pretty much always order the same thing because its SO GOOD. I get the Spicy Buffalo Chicken Salad. It is the perfect combination of spicy buffalo chicken strips, blue cheese crumbles, apples, walnuts, and celery (it comes with carrots but I leave them off). You can build your own salad or choose from their menu, they also have delicious sandwiches and hearty side dishes to choose from. The Urban Fries are to die for. Jack has reason to be proud of their Garlic Fries because IT IS GOOD!! However, Mac and Cheese is mostly Mac, Cheese did not show up!! I felt like I was eating plain boiled pasta. If I am going to commit a sin and eat a bowl of pasta, I would like to enjoy it!! Holy Hamster! I've always enjoyed their create-your-own-salad option but I completely fell in love with their garlic fries. I have never had a more enjoyable experience eating garlic fries than I did at Jack's. The fries are already great by themselves but the fact that they drench a hefty portion of fresh minced garlic and parsley on the fries are AMAZING! At some other places, they either use garlic powder or use a minimal amount of garlic, even after I request extra extra garlic! This review is solely based on their amazing fries and great follow through of the staff when I ask for extra extra garlic. This place is amazing!!! read more

Who is the manager of this place. The service is horrible. I stood in line and ordered turkey breast and asked what the seasonal vegetables were today and the girl told me that I need to go look because she doesn't know. Then I go 3 steps over and look and I'm told they aren't ready but they will make some. I go back to complete my order and the girl moved on to the next customer. How hard is customer service!!! The manager needs to teach these kids the basics of "hello, how can I help you?" Otherwise how will they move into better paying jobs in the future. I agree with some of the others on here that this one is very disorganize. I had stood in line and made my order ( I asked for sauce on side and no onions) and watched her put it in a box for me near register. Before I could pay , the cashier gave it to someone else. I believe her name was Sydney but she did not demonstrate good customer service to me .When I got to the cashier and tried telling her that my meal was just given away. She didn't even approach my concern . She said "just wait it's coming"I waited five minutes and had already paid. Then, someone from the kitchen had to come up to me and re-ask for my order. I know it's busy but I would have appreciated an apology or to be listened to. I wouldn't want to come to this place for lunch again because of the customer service. read more
