Really tasty!! Today I got a few sushi rolls, soup, salad and was given a free order of Crab Rangoon for spending $20. I was really impressed with the rangoons and thoroughly enjoyed my California roll. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the Summer Roll (shrimp tempura with mango) because I personally didn't enjoy the flavors and the pieces weren't rolled properly so it fell apart as soon as I picked it up with my chopsticks. But the salad was nice and fresh and the Miso soup wasn't the best I've ever had but still really good. Overall I was happy and full after ordering! read more

This happened a month or so ago. I ordered about $50 worth of sushi. Apparently the driver didn't realize that I already tipped them...online. When I didn't want to meet them at the door, they spiked my food all over my porch. I ordered directly through Jade Tree, so I can't say this was Grub Hub/DoorDash/someone else's fault. I called and they refused to refund the order. I went through my bank to get refunded because this behavior is not acceptable. I've lived in Federal Hill for 2 years now and this is hands down our go to Asian restaurant. Their food is consistently good, with everything from typical chinese food fair like chicken and broccoli to all sorts of sushi rolls. We also recently made a BIG group order here (~15 ppl) and they made everything perfect and even labeled who ordered what on each item. I'm essentially on a first name basis with the front desk girls at this point, but truly can't recommend this place enough. read more

This was my worst meal on my recent Providence visit. Our order of hot and sour soup, 3 appetizers with pork fried rice, and pepper steak with onions arrived within the expected delivery time. Christmas night visit with the BF. Since not many places are open we decided to try this for a quick bite. The exterior was well lit and right on Atwells Ave. Parking was easy because of the holiday. The interior was clean and bigger than anticipated. The have a nice bar area, booths along the wall, table seating as well as sushi bar seating. We were immediately greeted and chose a quiet booth. The booth was clean, set for two and well lit. The menus were clean and easy to read. They offer traditional Chinese recipes as well as sushi and Japanese dishes. We started with sticky wings (not hot). The portion was big, a full serving of bone in, battered and sauced wings. They were just ok. For entrees we had Mongolian beef and Ginger beef. The Mongolian beef was devoid of flavor. The BF could not finish it. The Ginger Beef with green beans was a bit better, but definitely not the best I have had. The service was good. Bill was our server and was very accommodating. We sent the Mongolian Beef back and the BF chose tempura chicken with duck sauce, so that he would at least eat something. We will try this place again because it was the holiday but this visit left us less than impressed. read more

Generous portions served up at a cheap price. Got pad thai delivered today since they're close to my work, and it was delivered piping hot. The pad thai was drenched, which is my only complaint. There was A LOT of the sweet/oily sauce leaking from the container and off of the paper bag it was delivered in. Almost soupy. Beyond the liquid, the pad thai was reminiscent of others in the area. Thin noodles, served with plenty of veggies and a greater-than-average portion of shrimp. So the taste was solid, I would have just preferred a little more salt. The restaurant gladly accommodated my mom's special dietary needs, which we really appreciated (they prepared the steamed ginger tilapia fillet without seasonings and sauce for us, and served steamed bok Choy on the side). My husband, Dad, and I shared a few dishes: 1) Shrimp dumplings - disappointing; shrimp should have been bigger and there was some filler in it 2) Cumin chicken - excellent! 3) Shrimp with mixed vegetables - very tasty 4) Shumai - okay, had more vegetable filler than shrimp or pork The service was generally quite good! They were quite accommodating of our needs (mom also asked for lemon and salt, for example), and warm, kind, and friendly throughout. Jade Tree has become one of my go to places for delivery while i am at work. Salt and pepper wings-delicious. the 3 pepper chicken dish-spicy and very tasty but when i say spicy im serious-very good. The udon noodle soup-a meal unto itself and chock full of fresh vegetables and undon noodle done right (not soggy) enjoy. The gyoza dumplings are also quite well done-these are japanese version of chinese fried dumplings with a thinner wrapper. Ordered Philadelphia roll, Miso Soup, and a Spicy Scallop Maki. Overall most of the order was ok, except for the Scallops. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Haruki's in Cranston but there was barely any scallop in each roll and it was not cooked (I've never seen it served this way), most importantly it just didn't taste that great. During my stay in Providence Rhode Island I got the opportunity to visit this wonderful Asian Bistro. First off the hospitality there was amazing and the waiter was swift. I ordered the Calamari and fries (basic I know). The calamari came with this tasteful spicy mayo for dipping. Cooked to perfection, the calamari was seasoned exceptionally well (not to salty) and was crunchy just how I like it. The fries were just as good but my focus was the calamari and the spicy mayo dipping sauce. This experience was wonderful and I recommend the calamari to anyone who visits. read more

It is both hot and sour. I appreciate this, because it is what I look for in a soup of the style. However, it is quite different from many hot and sour soup you may find. Placed an order for combo chicken & broccoli that came with a side. I don't eat any of the side options i was left to, and had requested to swap the egg roll i was forced to choose to place the order for a chicken finger. I wasn't asking for them to give me more food, just simply switch for equal value. I've ordered from them in the past and they were fine with the swap. All of a sudden they tried to up charge me $3 for 2, when the cost of 6 chicken fingers are $5.95. I ordered take out here last night and it was quite delicious. The portions are HUGE and super affordable. A meal comes with your choice of two sides. I got the dumplings with crab Rangoon and pork fried rice. WOW it was good and the dumplings were HUGE! My friend ordered the chicken fingers with pork fried rice and spring rolls. This was my first time ordering delivery from this place. Do not get the smoothies from here unless you want to get diabetes. My roommate ordered the honeydew slush and it was straight up sugar and artificial flavors. The red bean and coconut smoothie I ordered was also very sweet. The chicken and rice soup was filled with 90% rice. Unless you want to have a spoonful of rice every time then go for it. I found a hair in my porridge and no it is not mine. I'm pretty damned impressed and would definitely call in take out again (uber eats made my $47 order jump to $67 with their ridiculous fees). The person says on the phone that the food was delivered 10 minutes ago. Takeout review - trying to support local businesses during the Coronavirus emergency. I ordered the Godzilla Roll and the Screaming Roll from the Chef's Special Roll Menu. I liked the "Screaming" a lot better - Spicy salmon, spicy tuna, cucumber inside topped with kani salad, shallot, tempura flake, and tobiko.
