Jaded Thai locked the door in our face tonight at 8:59 on a Saturday night. (we've been here b4, It's Ok minus, small and LOUD, REALLY LOUD). ----------- June 2015 update:. Jaded Thai has NOW added the kitchen closing a half hour early on their door. It used to just be on their menu and website in very small print. Make no mistake, we did not receive any offer of carryout food or anything resembling Asian Nice in our Door Locked in our face experience, and we talked to them. Go one strip mall NW to Ichef where they at least serve alcohol, and is quieter. -------- I WISH Yelp would bring back the trend review charts, because the trend here is not good. We are pretty sure that they saw us pull in the parking lot because when we drove in, the sign was ON, but when we got out of the car the sign was off. We went to the door since they obviously saw us and they told us they close the kitchen at 9:00 (and LOCK the door). Now their website AND door SAYS they are open till 9:30 but there is also a small note when you open the website up that says they close the kitchen a half hour earlier. So BEWARE, Jaded Thai closes at 9:00pm on a Saturday night. And BEWARE, NObody else was eating here at 9pm on a Saturday night. COMPLETELY empty and locked out, but fortunately we remembered how good Ichef is in the next mall just NorthWest on Algonquin ( 2 minutes away ;~). Open, REALLY open, until 10:00pm on a Saturday night. Order off the Chinese menu and you won't be hungry like you would be at Jaded Thai. Wonderful Song Fish soup for 2, egg rolls, stir fried pork long beans and one of the best cumin lambs in town maybe better than Yu's, 2 LARGE glasses of an ok enuf $5 Merlot (No alcohol@JadedEarlySatNightClose), $46 plus tip and BIG leftovers. SCORE! Very disappointing wasted drive to Jaded Thai, but saved by Ichef. So make a reservation at 8:59 if you want to eat at the 9:30pm "closing"Jaded Thai on a Saturday night, or better yet reconsider your choice because Sir Thai in Palatine is better anyway and MUCH quieter, and even better is the BYOB! I was here last night on Valentine's day and i fell in love with Jaded Thai. My boyfriend took me here, he usually has lunch at Jaded Thai and he's addicted by their food. We were there around 7pm, the place was packed. But he made a reservation and we were seated promptly. The ambiance is nice and relax...the decor is contemporary. Beige and brown also mixed with green. Talking about food, we ordered: *Shrimp Mangtra and Coconut shrimp...phenomenon...it was the best shrimp roll i ever had. The sauce that were inside the shrimp was so special. Coconut shrimp was perfectly cooked. Taste delich! *Tom Kha soup...i literally pour the last drop into my mouth. The soup was blended with coconut milk and not crazy thick like someplace else. My boyfriend had ginger rice soup...i tasted it and really love it. *Pad Thai shrimp...you can't go wrong with the simple and traditional dish like pad thai and Jaded makes the best pad thai i ever had. *Softshell crab with hot chili sauce...was so special..i usually have a softshell crab only in Japanese restaurant...but at Jaded, they make a very outstanding way of their own. Highly recommended. After this lovely meal, we were so full but our lovely server also brought as a greentea ice cream as the valentine's special....how nice was that? I'm pretty sure that this place will be packed and very very busy if they have a bar. (p.s. they're not BYOB establishment). My boyfriend and I were passing by Jaded Thai on the way home last Wednesday and decided to stop by for some late dinner. When we walked in, the staff told us that the dining room had closed. We were so disappointed as we were so hungry but we didn't argue because it does say on their website and in front of the door that the kitchen closes 30 minutes prior to closing time. Obviously we didn't want to look like an idiot because it is pretty clearly stated on the door and their website (which we didn't check, just decided on luck) and we understood as we both used to work industry and most places have a last call time. The best part was the staff was so nice to offer us carry-out instead! And I'm glad we at least got carry out beause the food was so good! We ordered the chicken satay - meat was cooked well and not dry, the mussels delight - so tasty and spicy, the spicy crazy noodles with squid - it had a lot of vegetables and it was my favorite, and the yellow curry - on the soupier side but again good portions. They still had many tables by the time we got our food and left. I love the cute umbrella decor. Will definitely have to try dine in to discover more on their menu. read more

We went there again on last Friday night, the place was a bit busy but they still have a table for us. We were greeted and seated promptly. Service was fast eventhough they were in a busy hour. We ordered: Shrimp Mantra - was great..this was not a typical fried shrimp but there were some kind of herb sauce inside the shrimp and spinash. When you chew it you will smell the herb and it's so goodddd... Somtum - they use a real papaya and the dressing was so good. some other places use carrot or cabbage instead of a real papaya. Mussels Delight - the broth that comes with mussels was fantastic. Mussels were fresh and there were 10 pieces of it for only $11 And yes,,we ordered Pad Thai with Shrimp - They say that you can judge thai places by their pad thai, and pad thai here was so amazing. This was my second time for this place. And now i'm jealous those who lives near by Jaded Thai Restaurant in Hoffman Estate. Come out and try this place. I went to this place the other night since I was seeking some Thai food and never been here before. I've heard great things from various friends and people so decided to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I felt a very nice ambiance. It was a very chill and relaxed atmosphere and somewhat crowded. We were greeted right away and taken to our spots. The service was very prompt and answered all the questions we had since there were a few dishes I did not recognize. I ordered a pad thai with chicken and my friend got a curry dish. Both were very flavorful and portions were of great size. My pad thai had lots of veggies and was very fresh. Some places I've tried don't give you much with the pad thai dish other than the noodles and protein, but here they gave you everything from veggies (carrots, bean sprouts) and plenty of noodles and meat to go with it. Overall, great place, will definitely try it out again and see what the other dishes are like! read more

man...i'm addicted to their moonlight chicken and pad thai. For those who doesn't know about this place, they've been in restaurant business for over 20 years. They had a very successful restaurant in Mt.Prospect and now they are in Hoffman Estate. Wow factor.... pad thai - phenomenon....they're using the fresh noodle...high quality one moonlight chicken - kinda like chicken satay but this is the meal sweet and sour chicken - man...i'm gaining weight by eating this thing. service is fast and friendly...they know the menu and will give you a good suggestion based on your preference. Jaded Thai obviously got me Jaded! I order at least twice a week and get the same panang curry and hot chili. Their flavors are always consistent and they don't make anything that is too sugary sweet like other Thai places. I've recommended a lot of people here and every one has loved the food! Service is great, lovely atmosphere..but they can be quite busy!! There's no alcohol here but obviously if you want booze....you should be checking out other places to begin with so I'm not complaining. Good food in the stomache = happy me :) read more

This place has absolutely the best Thai food ever. Everything I ordered was never a disappointment. Live your tom yum shrimp soup and pad Thai that I just ordered!I try to review restaurants a few times because I don think you can ever trust one review by one person because experiences may be different. I am so happy to see Jaded Thai under new ownership! The difference is incredible--the staff is 1000x nicer and more accommodating than before, making every visit a genuinely pleasant experience. We had an amazing experience trying authentic Thai food at Jaded Thai. The dishes tasted delicious and we quickly finished everything, leaving our plates clean. Friday night at Jaded Thai was fantastic! I have been around the block for Thai food, but I gotta say, this is pretty darn Great! Very Nice place, only been opened for a few month, but they have been around for over a decade. Imagine that? Food was amazing, the service was great. This place used to be soooo much better. over the past few years they have gone down hill. the curry dishes are watery and not as much flavor. I lived in Thailand for several years and this food used to be very similar to what you would get out there. Now it's just average, sad cause it used to be so good. read more
