I had a great experience purchasing a 2012 Range Rover Sport at Patrick Land Rover. My salesperson was Chris Peterson and he was terrific. He was so knowledgeable about the vehicles I was interested in, and he was not very pushy, like a lot of salesmen. Most impressive was how he kept in touch and was able to do so much of the process over the phone / internet. I barely spent any time at the actual dealership. It was great. I purchased a brand new vehicle from this dealership, and unbeknownst to me, the vehicle has a faulty, defective and unsafe transmission. The vehicle is a Range Rover, Evoque. The dealership replaced the transmission with less than 10,000 miles on the vehicle. I wish this was where the story ends. The problem was not resolved. The same issues of jerking into gear persisted. This is scary!! After the vehicle was returned to me on a couple of occasions, the problem was even worse!! While under warranty, this dealership told me there was nothing else they could do to repair the vehicle, knowing the problem was unresolved. I was given no recourse on what could be done to rectify the problem. Unbelievable! Days later, I contacted the dealership to ask what could be done, since the problem still existed and the vehicle is under warranty. With my persistence, I was told that I need to contact the corporate office. Even though later I learned that this is not their normal protocol. Normally when they cannot resolve an issue, the dealership will contact the corporate office for guidance. That did not happen in my case. Long story short, the corporate office has offered nothing but a proposed agreement that does not address the issues they promised to address. So I am still in possession of a defective vehicle which is still under warranty. I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealership or company. I would have never in a million years expected this type of situation, dealing with a luxury car dealership or company. It's not only that the vehicle is defective, it's the process that is being used to resolve this issue. This nightmare could happen to you. Don't take any chances. Use your power of choice and do your research to support your choice. A vehicle is one of the largest purchases one makes, and you do not want to have it coupled with such an unpleasant experience. This company refused to respond to my Better Business Bureau complaint and provided two unsigned letters to the Office of Attorney General so there is no way to address the inconsistencies with the author of the letters. If you were to purchase a vehicle and need service prepare to be extremely frustrated and disappointed. I've received better service from the chevy and ford dealerships I've went to for years. I had to wait weeks to get an appointment and the service team was not even prepared to help me once I arrived for my appointment. On a second occasion, I had to drive to the actual dealership to talk to someone in the service department because I was unable to reach any of the service guys by phone for reasons no one can explain. i bought a Range Rover Evoque from Patrick Land Rover in Naperville. shortly one month after i bought it, i noticed the rear brakes being low, so i bought it in and they refused to do anything saying that the brakes were ok. about one week later the rear brakes were eating the rotors. they refused to fix under warranty. later on the windshield started leaking a lot and i called them and again refused to do anything about it, i had to replace the windshield out of my pocket. they just won't honor the warranty, they want payment for everything and anything. last time i called was to get a remote starter installed. they said it couldn't be done, after a call to Range Rover i was able to get their app installed and the remote option. read more

In this case I sent the email which is listed below to customer service prior to posting my review on this site. I did this to see if "Customer Service" would respond, as with any other poorly run company this department did not respond at all. I'm about to leave a 1- Star Rating for your dealership on Yelp and other social media websites due to the poor experience I recently had with your dealership. This poor experience started on November 12th when I first made contact through the USAA Auto Purchasing program. I was interested in a pre-owned vehicle priced at $100,000, I made inquiries asking about features / options and felt the sales person would not take the time to answer my questions about the vehicle. With no interest on his part I followed up with another call and spoke with another sales person who seemed just as disinterested. Finally, after numerous text messages we came up with a price, the sales person requested that I sign several forms requesting authorization on my credit card for $2500 along with copies of my drivers licenses. The sales contract had a lot of add on fee's which really had me concerned, the fees were approximately $840, when I wanted an explanation the sales person never called me back. Finally, on the last day of the month the original sales person who dropped us, called and wanted to get the process started. Now I'm really confused, the dealership took our credit card number and had us sign forms and he wanted to know if we wanted to get the process started? I explained to this sales person we were ready to purchase the car but no one was taking the time to go over the extra fees which were on the contract. (like every other time we did not hear back) Finally, I contacted the General Sales Manager and wanted to get final clarification of the fee's and get the information for wiring the funds over to the dealership. I called 8:30 am just as the dealership opened in order to speak directly with the General Manager, I was told he was with a customer and to leave a message for him to call me back. I waited several hours then called back, this went on all day, at one point the receptionist stated "oh, he's right in front of me" thinking he would pick the phone up he avoided my phone call once again. At the end of the work day (at closing) he called and left a message stating he would call us on Monday (12/07/15) to finalize the purchase. At this same moment I received an email from one of the sales people who would not respond to phone calls or emails earlier stating they sold the car two ago. Is this dealership a joke? The amount of time wasted on this has been hours. ** If your a customer looking to purchase a Land Rover be very careful when dealing with this dealership. I have been a Land Rover customer for years at another dealership and have been accustomed to great service. It was a shock when I dealt with this location. I've called and left 4 messages for Manager Tony. I also have spent over 45 minutes on hold waiting for him to answer. This is by far the worst car dealership I have ever dealt with. They wait until your warranty is up to hit you below the belt, even when you bring in the vehicle several times addressing the very issue that was not a "big deal" and now became one since it's not longer covered. I've been coming here for years, and I was pleasantly pleased with this dealership until my last 2 visits. They've hired some new people since my last maintenance service, and I don't care for them. It seems that now the receptionist is rude and impatient, I'm not sure which one she is but she hangs up after answering your initial question and does not ask if you need anything else or wait to see if you have follow up questions. My second issue is that on my billing statement it says that "the customer complained of ...(various things)" when I never complained. The things listed were things that they told me was wrong with my car after my oil change was complete. 3: the ONLY person who I found to be helpful was Tony in service. And when he went on vacation my car was in for warranty work, I called in to approve something else not covered by the warranty to be worked on. And I was assured it would be taken care of before I pick up my car. It was not. 4: these people do not know how to return phone calls! I called Kristi the manager because I was unsatisfied with the problem not being fixed that I called about and also when I got my car back it was hard to put it in gear. It was NOT like that when I dropped it off. She didn't even call me back, she had Tony do her work for her. As if she can't deal with customers herself. Apparently she is not management material. HORRIBLE customer service. I bought a used LR4 and within three months the car was broken down on the side of the road. 2 months later, the car was in and out of the shop (un-drivable) for more than three weeks. Tony in the service was great at communicating, but other than that I can barely get anyone to respond to me. I need a reliable, safe vehicle to travel for work--I was told they would look for another vehicle for me, but have heard nothing back. My experience has been the opposite of "luxury" and I would never by another vehicle from this dealer again. I even reached out to the Patrick Group who told me referred me back to the dealer that is the problem. read more

When I purchased my car I insisted on having the extended warranty up to 100,000 miles knowing full well that Jaguar parts and labor can be very expensive. The factory warranty was exceptional. HOWEVER, now that the original factory warranty has run out I have been treated like crap. Upon arriving 20 minutes early for my appointment in service, I was not greeted by anyone. The one person on service was compelled to sit in his office and kibitz with what appeared to be a former employee or non-customer. When I was finally addressed, I was told that I would have to agree to a $145 diagnostic fee to tell me what I had just stated was wrong with the vehicle. My deductible on the extended warranty is only $100. Furthermore, the service rep, could not tell me if the required repairs were covered by the warranty. I had to call the extended warranty service company and get it verified that the parts were in fact covered. I agreed to have the work done and specifically told the service manager I did not want to have anything done that was not explicitly covered by the warranty. I received a text message asking me to approve the required repairs. The required repair was a battery replacement for 2x the regular price of a premium battery which was NOT covered by the warranty. I declined the excessively priced battery replacement. I was then informed that the problems I was experiencing were due to the faulty battery and that otherwise the car was fine. So, in effect I was charged $145 for the service department to tell me that the light that was on my dashboard, was in fact on. The battery has been replaced and the sensor is still faulting.... So during the 3+ hours it took for this exercise in futility, I struck up a conversation with the salesperson whom I am friendly with. He was very helpful and we discussed possibly trading up to a newer vehicle. While I like the vehicle very much and would consider upgrading, I am not so sure after this last experience with Patrick Jaguar of Naperville. read more

Go ahead and shop around (and do your homework) then come in to buy at this dealership and you will notice the difference in price and sales experience. Best experience ever! Enjoyed Working with Chris Peterson at Land Rover of Naperville I was looking for a car to garage in San Jose, Ca. I did not confine my search to the local area, instead I used TrueCar and looked throughout the Continental United States. Why not; if I was going to a local dealership they would not limit themselves to only what they had on the lot. Shipping cars can be pretty inexpensive relative to the price of a Range Rover Sport. I found a few cars that matched my requirements in the US. I submitted my interest to the cars through TrueCar and received a quick response from Land Rover of Naperville. The response was very thorough, honest and positive in response to price. When I called not only did they honor the price on TrueCar but they told me that they just dropped the price $2000 more that morning and it was not updated on TrueCar yet. Very honest and forthcoming. After a little more discussions on the car and an offer to pick me up at the airport and pick up dinner, the car was purchased. I was in Chicago the following morning. They had a driver pick me up from the airport as planned and brought to the dealership. The car looked even better in person. It was nicely detailed and Chris Peterson was there to greet me and spend as much time as possible going over the car. I spent about 3 hours at the dealership and not once did Chris act put out. He was willing to spend as much time as possible with me. I ended up driving the car all the way back to San Jose with my brother just to knock out a couple bucket list items. Chris followed up with me and sent a new key fob that had not arrived when I was there. He also agreed to pay to have the fob programmed at my local dealership. I would highly recommend Land Rover of Naperville for any Land Rover or Jaguar purchases. I have thoroughly enjoyed my purchase. read more

Buyer Beware. Customer service charged me for unauthorized costs. The service department at Patrick Jaguar Landrover in Naperville, IL charged my credit card for unauthorized charges. When the service Rep indicated "too bad" "they have every right to charge my credit card", I filed a complaint with Landrover's home office. 1 week after alerting the home office, Landrover USA, AND the home office promising a refund would be processed immediately, nothing was done. So I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. 2 weeks after Landrover Naperville charged my credit card and took money out of my bank, no refund has been issued. Landrover USA still indicates the refund is coming, but nothing has been received. This is how Landrover treats a 20 year loyal customer. Pretty pathetic. read more

In the end the body repair is great! But I had to take it back a few times to get a few details sorted out. When I first got my car back after 10 days in the body shop and the damage was mostly repaired. However a few details, like the tire center cap and seat belt not being in it's proper place, were over looked. Another visit sorted out those issues. I then realized that my Tire Pressure light was on for the tire that was repaired. A quick diagnosis showed that the TPMS was faulty. A few days later it was repaired. Overall I am content with the service and the staff. I wish they would have kept me updated more on the delivery status with the parts and repair. I feel like I had to call a few times too many to figure out what was going on. read more

Scheduled my yearly maintenance today, on a Saturday morning At 9am and dropped off my Land Rover keys and a note to have them update some of the software on Friday night in the after hours key drop. I needed a ride home with my work schedule and it was easier to do the evening before. Left them a note and my cell number for when it was done. The service center is open from 8am until until 4pm. Never heard from them, so about 2:15pm I called service and asked the customer service person if my car was ready? He said he would talk to Matt the service manager and I would get a call back. No one called. 3:20pm, called again and got 2 customer service people (kept getting transferred) until I was sent to Matt the service managers voice mail. Left another message asking if my car is ready? No response. Left to get my car because they are closed on Sunday and I work. I need my car, which is why I scheduled on a Saturday. Got a call from Matt at 3:40pm that they just started the software update. I told him I'm already on my way to pick up my car before the service department closes and I'm stuck with no car. When I got there "it's in the car wash". Had to sit and wait 20 minutes. The porter asked if I was waiting on my car and handed me the keys. I went to pay, and the cashier said there was no paperwork so there is no charge. I went to get in my car and saw last years maintenance sticker still on the window. I walked in to Matt H's office and asked if the service was completed on my car and his response we "we did not service your car". No explanation, no "I'm so sorry" no "we made a mistake". Nothing. So I dropped off my car the night before, they had 8 hours to complete the annual service that I made an appointment for, and the service department simply forgot to do anything with my car. Who does that? How disorganized can you get? What happened to accountability? That was the worst car service experience I have ever had. No "sorry", no "we will make this right", nothing but here's your car back. I will never go back to this place because I do not have any trust in them. Why would I even consider buying a new Land Rover here knowing how poorly run their service department is. Too many other dealers have glowing reviews, especially from what I thought was a luxury dealership. Completely redefined what I thought owning a Land Rover would be like. So now I have to find another place to take my Land Rover for service. Don't go here. It's that bad. read more

My husband and I were in the market for a luxury vehicle and decided to stop into Jaguar of Naperville. Big mistake! We purchased a F-Pace in the evening so no one was there to download the car play software. When I brought the car in a few weeks later to have the software loaded and after 8 hours of waiting, the service dept called to tell me that my car was not compatible with the software. I talked to the sales person who told me that in order to meet the monthly payment we wanted, he had to switch the car we THOUGHT we had purchased. I called the dealership to ask for some sort of help with them being a certified land rover dealer and it being 2 months from the date of purchase the general sales manager John Karoumi told me that's to bad for you, you should of seen this at the time of purchase. This dealership has horrible service and also horrible salesmanship. When I was in the market to lease/purchase a vehicle, I went to this dealership for a test drive and was very turned off by the salesman. It was OK to show how the car cornered in the parking lot - essentially doing donuts in the parking lot, but it was not OK for me to drive the car and test the pick up and braking of the vehicle. I ended leasing from a leasing service. Service recently has been reprehensible. Typically my wife brings in my car as it is closer to work, and she always has complaints. I was inclined to give them a chance, as they had normally been given a loaner. I have had two occasions where the car was towed to Patrick Land Rover/Jaguar. The first instance was December 6, 2014. The issue was a failed central junction box/fuel pump the first time around. It took 10 days for this repair. I received my car back on December 16, 2014. I was given a loaner during that time period. The second occasion was late night on July 12, 2015. The car was there for 33 days, and I took possession of the vehicle on August 26, 2015. The issue was that a cam sprocket pin was completely sheared off. There were concerns of metal particles that may have been shed into the engine. It took 33 days to receive a new engine from your Land Rover. I never received timely notices or updates from the service manager at this dealership. I had to call every few days to get updates. I was not provided a rental, and had to rent a VW Jetta from Enterprise. I had a rental for 3 weeks, at which time I talked to my leasing company and they exchanged for a different car early. Head service manager told me that everything would be taken care of with the leasing company, but they only covered half the bill. I had a good friend who had bought a Range Rover HSE for his wife. Was in the shop relatively early, and they left a wrench in the engine. They denied that they left the wrench, and later asked for the wrench back. read more

I went in thinking I needed to have my brake pads replaced and thought I would combine it with an oil change. Waiting room was comfortable. The brake pads still had 40 - 50% life left after 40,000 miles so I didn't need them replaced as of yet. A side running light mount had broken and they found that all side running lights were corroded and not working. They replaced them all and I was on my way. I always find their service department very professional. Jaguar parts are expensive compared with Ford but that is to be expected, I guess, when you buy a luxury car. read more

My first luxury brand experience. I was looking for something that said young professional but that was sporty and functional. I arrived on a Saturday and the attention from a salesman was as expected, knowledgable but not to pushy, which I appreciated. I found my XE and knew I had to have it. After some negotiating, everybody was happy. They were busier that day and let me know it was going to be about a 2 hour wait until I spoke with the finance guy. While this was not ideal, what could I do? After the wait, things were moving nicely. When I went to leave with my new car, it was dressed up nicely and freshly waxed. What a feeling! My salesman, instructed me that they couldn't find the extra key fob but assured me that since I lived about 2.5 hours away they could work with the nearest Jaguar dealership at my convince to pick it up. My car was also missing a Jaguar tire cap on one of the tires. I asked that they replace it also, so that they all matched. Too much? I called my salesman about picking the key fob up at my local Jaguar dealership but I was told that they "don't get along" so I would have to drive back to Naperville to get my fob. After intermittent communication from my salesman I ended up having to drive back up for the fob which took another 3 hour wait, due to a computer update?? And, still no tire cap. Pros: great deal on my car and free pen! Cons: wait time, less than ideal communication, and customer inconvenience. read more

Unfortunately as a new Land Rover owner, this dealership and vehicle have been the ultimate disappointment and nothing short of frustrating. Purchased a new 2019 Range Rover from them and that is exactly the last time I received any acceptable customer service. As soon as you drive off of the lot, you don't receive call backs and you truly feel like you're bothering them. Absolutely zero support from the sales and service departments, frankly they just ignore you! You can leave voicemails, call, even text your sales rep and replies go unanswered. There were major technology glitches in my 2019 Rover and I literally called from 7am-2pm and the receptionist said they are incredibly busy and only had one service representative in the office. Yes, you pay $90k+ for a vehicle and they can't staff their facility adequately to support their customers. My navigation wouldn't load, the media kept freezing, devices would unpair from bluetooth with errors and I had sensor errors on the dash-in a new 2019 Rover with absolutely no customer support from this dealership and zero communication. -however, I did receive instructions to leave voicemails for the one service rep that was in the office by the receptionist. I have had a few other issues that also went unanswered. This dealership is horrible. read more

Before we could even get into the vehicle I had to wait 20 minutes for them to find the keys for the thing then only went on about a 1 minute ride in a circle around the lot. They didn't tell me really anything and just kind of rushed me along. Coming from a luxury dealership this is sad. Every other dealership I've ever been in has had nothing but the absolute best customer service. Now I purchase the car with cash they say oh you'll have your title within 10 days. Here we are 20 days later and still nothing so I decide to call. I finally get to talking to someone who was also very rude and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about and she said they should have been mailed 4 days ago. I talk to him and told him that I wasn't going to do that but he just keep pushing us and pushing us so as of today we didn't send it. anyways we love the sport from bumper to bumper! Experienced tire trouble while I was in town and remembered having seen the dealership. Called ahead to let them know I was on the way. I arrived and my car was checked out immediately. Customer Service is HORRIBLE. I had an appointment to get an oil change and have my door stripped looked at. I got to dealership they had no loaner car available. So I called and spoke to manager Christy she arranged to have my vehicle picked up and dropped off to me. Once my car was brought back to me my OIL was still not changed but that reset my warning signals as it has been done. Took my car back to Jaguar met with the guy Tony got my oil changed looked at there recommendations on my paperwork and there was NONE. Three days later my brakes start grinding, took my 2013 to FIRESTONE in Bolingbrook and they provided not only PHENOMENAL customer service they informed me that my brake and rooters needed to be replaced. KEEP in mind I just left the JAGUAR dealership less then two weeks ago, and Im sure my brake issue didn't happen in days and they also recommended that I get new tires. THE PEOPLE AT JAGUAR WORK THIER JUST TO DRIVE THE DEMO CARS.. because CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THIER PRIORITY... They don't even give you a COMPLIMENTARY CAR WASH YOU HAVE TO ASK and this is a LAND ROVER AND JAGUAR DEALERSHIP that feels like an AUTO MART... Im sure you get my point. read more

On 3/25/2014 I put a $2,000.00 deposit on a vehicle for which I was going to purchase after they made promises to repair a wobbling wheel in addition to me retrieving more money as a down payment. The promised repairs never happened and I felt rushed to sign a contract for a vehicle that wobbled when I drove it. Therefore, I decided not to purchase the vehicle. Since then (March 2014), Patrick Jaguar has promised 3 times to refund my money. It is now April 28, 2014, I'm still waiting for my refund. read more
