Took my S-type in for repair of a coolant tube that broke. While I was there I had him do the 50k mile service. Took a couple of days and picked up the car (and the $500+ bill). Two days later, it started leaking coolant AGAIN. Attempted to get a hold someone from J.P. with no luck. Left multiple messages over a week with no call back! Outstanding. Simply outstanding. Our Sport broke down Tuesday night. Had it towed to Jaguar Purrformance Center well after hours. Next morning Robert called with a diagnosis. Alternator gone, might have taken the battery with it, but would try a trickle charge to see if the battery could be saved. By afternoon seemed that the battery could saved so everything repaired and buttoned up. Upon starting, faults thrown every which way due to drained battery. The team at Jaguar Purrformance chased down all the faults and finished the car, staying late the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and the long weekend. Absolutely amazing. I was purchasing a used 2019 Jaguar F-Pace and wanted the vehicle inspected by a knowledgeable expert. After a lengthy initial call w/Robert I knew I found the right person and shop. My journey to Jaguar Purrformance Center was not obvious. Although i spotted it few years before, decided to go with the service center first. After a year of dropping my s-type every two months with similar issue of a dashboard coolant light and spending almost the original price of the car on the repairs got tired of it. Next was another non- jaguar-specific service center. They seemed doing ok fixing other brands, but jaguar did not got through. Another year and another vicious circle with fixing everything and still getting back to service every few months. On the verge of frustration and driving through on University Ave spotted again Jaguar Purrformance Center. It was such a relief getting specific explanation to my s-type issue, quickly scheduled service, few days and reasonable expense - and i was free to enjoy uninterrupted driving. Super happy with Rick and his team. We have a 2008 XF and it had been having rough idle restricted performance issues that we had attempted to have resolved through another shop for the last 2 years. Rick took his time to throughout diagnose the root cause and now our car is finally running smoothly again. His thorough knowledge of Jaguar specific quirks is invaluable. He also diagnosed and fixed a slow coolant leak which another shop also was having trouble fixing. Very, very honest mechanics. My tranny died. They attempted to rebuild it themselves to try and save me a lot of money - big mistake, but they made good by replacing it with a new, factory rebuilt one. The ate the cost of their rebuilding attempt and gave me the new rebuilt one at cost. Very knowledgeable. It took much longer than I expected but then again, they tried to save me thousands of dollars. read more

I took my 97 XK8 coupe into Rick after reviewing Yelps and having a phone call with him explaining the problems my Jag had. It had several warning messages happening eg transmission, traction control and also dead battery and a few other bits needing attention. Rick rapidly did the diagnostic work....identified what was wrong in all departments, resolved how to rectify them ( some of which were very unusual) and provided me with a priority list of what needed to be done, complete with very reasonable pricing . The ABS needed attention also and so he had the defective ABS ECU rebuilt rather than sell me a very expensive new one. I decided to do everything on the list as it was obvious there is a wealth of expertise there. My XK was ready ahead of estimated time and also under the budget that he had predicted. Like others have said extremely knowledgeable, fabulous customer service and honest. A truly great find and needless to say the only place I'll take the Jag from now on. read more

If you have a V12 or any older Jaguar, these guys are the experts. No question about it. They've been servicing these cars since the cars were new. I took my XJS V12 in to rectify a couple of issues that were caused by another shop. The other shop worked on it 3 times and every time I got a new problem. When I explained the issues to Jaguar Purrformance Center, they knew exactly what I was talking about, and fixed the problems quickly and correctly. The money you spend here is well worth it, because you get the result you expect. More so than other marques, Jaguars respond well to the right expertise, and respond poorly to incompetence. read more

Rick has been working on my Jags for many years. After a bad experience at San Jose British Motors, I went to him, and I've never left. He is honest, trustworthy, and extremely knowledgeable. I would never go anywhere else for Jag service in the San Jose Area. I have recommended him to many people, and all have been very satisfied. I've told Rick, "I never want to break down." With that in mind, he has taken care of my cars perfectly. I like that he tells me, "You can take care of this now, or you can put it off for a while." Helps me manage my budget. I called Rick to inquire about potential leaking coolant hose on my S-Type R. I explained that I was a student, and needed to know whether repairs are feasible, or whether I should dump the car. He spent a good half hour on the phone discussing all the potential issues and remedies. I was able to drop off my car after hours in his lot (very convenient when working 9-5). He spent several hours taking everything apart, pressure testing the system, making sure it wasn't something catastrophic like a head gasket. It turned out to be the water pump that was gushing, and my radiator had a slow leak. Rather than try to force me to replace the radiator, he was upfront and honest, letting me know that it was manageable, wouldn't leave me stranded, and could be let alone for some time if I wanted.He didn't charge me for the diagnosis, and gave me the option to walk if I wanted. Radiators cost around $1500 new. Rick sourced a quality used one for $500, and installed it for an additional $200. All in all, I paid around $1500 for him to diagnose, and parts and labor for a water pump and radiator. He buttoned everything up perfectly, made sure no hoses were rubbing (something shoddier mechanics don't check). Rick is a top notch mechanic who knows these Jags very well. I found them looking for a shop that would add performance to the car and they are pretty much a stock shop but lots of Jag knowledge and experience and they treated me well.
