Spontaneous breakfast visit on a weekday morning. I was surprised at how busy Jamms was, being that it was a weekday. The hostess was friendly & took us to a booth. The booth was very tight-fitting, since it was crammed with too many other booths in a row. After adjusting the table for my 6 foot tall husband, we didn't take long to pick our entrees. I opted for the corned beef skillet w/ hash brown, scrambled eggs, & cinnamon raisin pot of bread (POB). I was disappointed with the corned beef hash, because it was store-bought deli slices, chopped finely, instead of the homemade version. I verified my hypothesis w/ the male host, during check-out. He told me that the corned beef wasn't made in-house. I also thought that the cinnamon raisin POB was really just plain white bread w/ tiny raisins sprinkled atop, then served with a side container of cream cheese frosting. The raisins weren't baked inside the bread. And I didn't taste ANY cinnamon spices at all. read more

Came here with a group of 4 ppl. Pretty large place with amazing customer service. Juan was the most excellent server. He had so much personality and the bussers came around to clear our table and fill water throughout our whole stay, which was about 2 hours. The Jamm omelet was perfect. We got it with potato O'Brien and that was a nice change from the usual hash brown. I loved everything about it. The pot of bread was a cute addition to the meal. Located in a busy strip mall off Charleston and Rainbow, next to Albertsons, this store front restaurant does not seem like it would be as popular as it is-we definitely saw the busy! We arrived at 8 and were promptly seated at a table for 6. Ordered the specialty pumpkin flavored bread and a skillet and French toast. The bread was freaking amazing. It is literally 2 stars all on its own! So a lot before we even got our food!! My scramble was tasty. The gravy def needed salt, but otherwise I enjoyed it. The cornflake crusted French toast was insane! 1 star for our food for sure. Final star for our server. He was pretty rad. I have to say, if you are looking for a place to run in, eat some decent food, and run out, this is the spot for you. If you're looking for a place to go in, eat, chat & enjoy your catch up time, this is not the spot for that, simply because of how busy they are every morning. Jamms restaurant is a family owned restaurant, since 1997. Everything served is made to order, fresh! We walked into the restaurant around 9 a.m., with no wait time required. A table was ready for all 5 of us. The menus were promptly provided and waters were also delivered to the tables. I had ordered a custom order, the 'rita', which is a tortilla wrap. Ingredients: Egg white, cheese, bacon, tomatoes, with salsa and hash browns. It didn't take long for the order to come to the table, approximately 20 minutes. It was relatively cold inside the restaurant. I ended up stepping outside for a little bit with my daughter to warm up. The breakfast was scrumptious. The hash browns were crispy. The wrap was perfect, great blend of egg white, cheese, bacon, and tomatoes. I didn't use the salsa as it was slightly spicy. I stopped in for breakfast, one morning while on break from work. James has always been a local favorite spot for breakfast. The service was great, my server was attentive, which I appreciated. Another stop on my recent search looking for great diner breakfasts in Vegas. Jamms' Cornflake French Toast was tasty. I've had cornflake-style elsewhere and Jamms did not let me down. The coffee was also very strong, enough to have me jittering on the way out, but it may be that the caffeine just hit me differently that morning. Service was efficient and I remember my server being particularly friendly. It's still hard for me to get my head around the price of breakfast as it stands now, where basically a plate of morning carbs + meats, coffee, and tip push the check over $20. I can say it's pretty widespread, at least with popular diners like Jamms, so I hope it supports the servers and not just supply inflation. My rating is based on 3 weights : 70% = taste 20% = presentation 10% = price Taste was very good. It had a flavor and taste of a home-made Hollandaise sauce. I ordered soft poached and got the same. Presentation could use some fixing. If you have a decent taste in your Hollandaise sauce make it good to look at. Price was $13.99. A little on the high side. For that price they could put some more hash browns on the plate. Coffee was $3.79. I also tried a 1/2 order biscuits and gravy. It was very good. Food was decent. Server brought our giant bowl of chicken noodle soup to the table, literally had his thumb in the soup while setting it down, sticking it right in the broth. . When I asked for a box, he took it to the back and dumped half of it out to fit it in a small to-go drink container wrapped in plastic wrap. Could barely understand anything we were asking and talked so quietly we could barely hear him. He needs some serious, extensive server training, being a server myself. We love Jamm's and he kind of ruined the whole experience, we just boxed the rest of our food up and left. We had a great experience here for breakfast! We were visiting from out of town and wanted a breakfast spot to stop at for a quick bite. They took our drink order right away and our waitress was so sweet! She was telling us all about the pot of bread and the flavor of the week. We had a lot of food coming so we decided to stick with the plain bread. However she brought out all 3 flavors for us to try! Plain, cinnamon raisin, and orange coconut - all so delicious. My wife and I stopped her Sunday morning for breakfast. This was our first visit. While it was extremely busy, we were seated right away. Coffee and OJ found it's was to the table quickly. I was not hungry so I opted for the two egg breakfast with bacon, toast and hash browns. The wife went for one of their French toast dishes where the toast was covered with flakes. It pains me to write this review because I have had this place bookmarked for YEARS. We were on this side of town and were starving. We saw on the door that they closed at 2:30 pm. We walked in at 1:55; still plenty of time to eat. We saw more than a handful of occupied tables with patrons still eating, so I thought we still had enough time. The young gentleman who walked us to our table was very friendly and courteous. However, as I sat down, I heard the older female server saying quite loudly "more people?! No more people!" My boyfriend, who is over 6 ft tall, saw into the kitchen and had seen the chef shrug his shoulders when he saw us being seated. After seeing this, we didn't feel welcomed anymore and walked right back out. My son asked why we were leaving instead of eating, and this gave me an opportunity to teach him a lesson on gratitude. They obviously didn't want us eating there. And if we had, we would have felt rushed. Im not going to support an establishment that obviously doesn't want our business. I'm sure the food is delicious and I was looking forward to finally trying the pot of bread. But with the crappy attitude of the staff, I'll never know. read more

Perfect mid-morning breakfast. I could sit and eat the "Pot-of -Bread's" all day. Fresh out of their oven goodness not so sweet but sweet enough. The Good: food is very tasty and the prices are great. The stuffed French toast was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The cream cheese filling has sour cream mixed in and provides a wonderful blend of tart with a subtle sweetness. The bacon is cooked perfectly with a nice outer crisp and a slightly chewy center The Bad: while they accept credit cards, they don't accept American Express or Discover. This isn't displayed anywhere except for a small display at the register with an incredibly unprofessional message on it that says they won't be paying the upcharge for you to use your credit card. It's 2023 and part of the cost of doing business is dealing with check lane tender fees from credit card companies. If you're not going to participate in modern digital transactions there are much better ways to convey that message. The Neutral: the maple syrup is fake syrup. While I expected this, it is always disappointing to see especially when the food itself was quite good. Fake syrup just takes away from the quality of the food. Also, our server seemed a bit distracted and came across as not paying attention when we were talking or asking questions. The ambiance and decor reminds of the diners from my childhood. read more

This place is amazing. I used to work in the plaza of this restaurant and would order breakfast for pickup almost every morning. It's more of a mom and pop shop which makes its 10x better than any other generic breakfast spot. The French toast, biscuits and gravy, patty melts, French fries, you name it, are all so delicious. I've tried so many things on this menu I can't even keep count. I introduced my coworkers to this place and they absolutely love it.
