The home fries here are the star of the show. Oh my lord. I ordered the hash-browns which were good, but I tasted my wife's home fries and I'll be coming back just for those. The pot of bread is great. I also ordered the ham steak. Really good. Place was fairly busy. Looks like a lively pace that could have a wait if you come at peak times. Spontaneous breakfast visit on a weekday morning. I was surprised at how busy Jamms was, being that it was a weekday. The hostess was friendly & took us to a booth. The booth was very tight-fitting, since it was crammed with too many other booths in a row. After adjusting the table for my 6 foot tall husband, we didn't take long to pick our entrees. I opted for the corned beef skillet w/ hash brown, scrambled eggs, & cinnamon raisin pot of bread (POB). I was disappointed with the corned beef hash, because it was store-bought deli slices, chopped finely, instead of the homemade version. I verified my hypothesis w/ the male host, during check-out. He told me that the corned beef wasn't made in-house. I also thought that the cinnamon raisin POB was really just plain white bread w/ tiny raisins sprinkled atop, then served with a side container of cream cheese frosting. The raisins weren't baked inside the bread. And I didn't taste ANY cinnamon spices at all. read more

Walking into the restaurant you feel welcomed and look forward to the food. The service was absolutely fantastic from being greeted at the door to when first sitting down. Our server recommended the breakfast sandwich in which you can choose what meat so I went with bacon and added sausage patty for an extra charge. I was blown away at the flavor the bacon and sausage had in this sandwich. The ambience of the restaurant seemed very family oriented along with the cooking. Located in a busy strip mall off Charleston and Rainbow, next to Albertsons, this store front restaurant does not seem like it would be as popular as it is-we definitely saw the busy! We arrived at 8 and were promptly seated at a table for 6. Ordered the specialty pumpkin flavored bread and a skillet and French toast. The bread was freaking amazing. It is literally 2 stars all on its own! So a lot before we even got our food!! My scramble was tasty. The gravy def needed salt, but otherwise I enjoyed it. The cornflake crusted French toast was insane! 1 star for our food for sure. Final star for our server. He was pretty rad. I have to say, if you are looking for a place to run in, eat some decent food, and run out, this is the spot for you. If you're looking for a place to go in, eat, chat & enjoy your catch up time, this is not the spot for that, simply because of how busy they are every morning. used to be an option that we would go to, but not anymore. Two incidents have led us to abandon this breakfast spot. The first incident is that they had their hours as closing at 3 PM on Google. I get there around 2:13 PM and they tell me that they aren't seating anyone anymore. I asked them what time do they close and they said 2:30 PM. I told the hostess we drove 25 minutes to get there and we're there before closing time. That didn't seem to matter to them and I told them they should have their times updated so people don't waste their time and money. The second incident some homeless looking guy that they allowed to eat there that was harassing all the customers, including our table as well. Came here with a group of 4 ppl. Pretty large place with amazing customer service. Juan was the most excellent server. He had so much personality and the bussers came around to clear our table and fill water throughout our whole stay, which was about 2 hours. The Jamm omelet was perfect. We got it with potato O'Brien and that was a nice change from the usual hash brown. I loved everything about it. The pot of bread was a cute addition to the meal. Food is good. Usually is. I got the stuffed French toast and it was great. Server was sweet and helpful and even had a second person checking in until we were just finished up. He came and cleared some of our plates and then no one ever came back. We waited for about 15 min and I saw they were getting busy so I got up to go ahead and pay so they could turn the table over faster. I didn't have a check but the cashier wasn't even acknowledging me standing there but she looked busy so I waited. I asked to check out but that I don't have my check. The server then stormed up and shoved the check at me without a word and stormed off. I tried to talk to her about how I know they got busy but she just stormed off. Then the cashier ignored me literally only telling me my total and when I'm trying to ask question and ask if our server was ok she ignored me more. Wouldn't even look at me. Two people walked in and her whole demeanor changed and she greeted them so nicely. But not another word to me. I have no idea what I said or did. We hardly talked to the server she was so nice until and made good fun comments to our table. Really good that far. Then they got busy and just never came back to our table so I figured I would just go pay. We weren't loud or rude. It was really odd. Jamms restaurant is a family owned restaurant, since 1997. Everything served is made to order, fresh! We walked into the restaurant around 9 a.m., with no wait time required. A table was ready for all 5 of us. The menus were promptly provided and waters were also delivered to the tables. I had ordered a custom order, the 'rita', which is a tortilla wrap. Ingredients: Egg white, cheese, bacon, tomatoes, with salsa and hash browns. It didn't take long for the order to come to the table, approximately 20 minutes. It was relatively cold inside the restaurant. I ended up stepping outside for a little bit with my daughter to warm up. The breakfast was scrumptious. The hash browns were crispy. The wrap was perfect, great blend of egg white, cheese, bacon, and tomatoes. I didn't use the salsa as it was slightly spicy. My family actually eats breakfast here several times a year so it's a place we enjoy. The staff is friendly, efficient and they are always pretty busy. Their pot of bread is also fantastic! It's a great place for pancakes, skillets, omelets, French toast, etc...their avocado toast is really good too. Another stop on my recent search looking for great diner breakfasts in Vegas. Jamms' Cornflake French Toast was tasty. I've had cornflake-style elsewhere and Jamms did not let me down. The coffee was also very strong, enough to have me jittering on the way out, but it may be that the caffeine just hit me differently that morning. Service was efficient and I remember my server being particularly friendly. It's still hard for me to get my head around the price of breakfast as it stands now, where basically a plate of morning carbs + meats, coffee, and tip push the check over $20. I can say it's pretty widespread, at least with popular diners like Jamms, so I hope it supports the servers and not just supply inflation. My rating is based on 3 weights : 70% = taste 20% = presentation 10% = price Taste was very good. It had a flavor and taste of a home-made Hollandaise sauce. I ordered soft poached and got the same. Presentation could use some fixing. If you have a decent taste in your Hollandaise sauce make it good to look at. Price was $13.99. A little on the high side. For that price they could put some more hash browns on the plate. Coffee was $3.79. I also tried a 1/2 order biscuits and gravy. It was very good. We had a great experience here for breakfast! We were visiting from out of town and wanted a breakfast spot to stop at for a quick bite. They took our drink order right away and our waitress was so sweet! She was telling us all about the pot of bread and the flavor of the week.
