Came in for a quick bite on a Friday night. There was a short line in front and we were able to snag a table for 3. We ordered cheeseburger, double cheeseburger with a side of fries. The burgers themselves were decent, felt like the patties were decent quality and of good size. They were juicy but didn't seem to have much sear on them. Buns were very sweet (think potato buns) and they were not toasted at all. Pretty much just straight from the bag. I did not like that. Furthermore, we paid $5.50 (base price) for a side of fries and we were given approximately a handful of shoestring fries. Very bad value on this but perhaps was an anomaly. Beer options are awesome for a burger joint tho. $4 a bottle. Probably cheapest I've seen at a restaurant with sit down service. I would give this place another visit for a chance to redeem themselves but otherwise not memorable. read more

One star from me. Unfortunately, this burger didn't hit the mark. The patty was thin and lacking flavor -- just overall underwhelming. I only indulge in a burger a few times a year. So when I do, I want it to be worth it. This wasn't. I was surprised by all the glowing Yelp reviews, but I can understand the appeal if you're looking for something quick or stumbling out of Summer Place and just need to soak up the booze. For me, though, it didn't measure up. For comparison, the burger at Le Beau Market (on the corner of Clay and Leavenworth) is easily 1,000x better -- thicker, more flavorful, and clearly made with better ingredients. That said, I'll admit I'm picky. I never eat fast food and usually go for burgers from gourmet markets or nice restaurants. So take my review with that grain of salt. Was walking around looking for a quick place to eat before a concert, and really glad we ended up here! The interior really sets the vibe of a chill burger joint. Ordered the Fried Chicken Sando and tots, and was really surprised at how much we enjoyed it! Didn't get that greasy feeling from eating so many fried menu options. Tiny little burger joint near Union Square, but just up the hill enough to avoid all the touristy stuff. Limited menu that seems to straddle both burgers and teriyaki. Got the burger and it was fine. Double Cheezburger: A respectable burger. Patties smashed and cooked on onions for extra flavor. Gooey cheese between burgers. Lots of fresh lettuce and tomato to balance out the richness. Some special sauce that tasted Big Mac like. I'd still pick Super Duper for the same burger category of not fast food yet still counter service. However, if you're nearby and want a burger, this will do. Onion Rings: I actually don't see onion rings on the menu much in San Francisco, so this was a nice throwback. I just moved back to this area after about seven years, I was roaming around when I saw this new spot that wasn't here before, I thought I'd give it a go. I've been here a few times and overall it's a nice spot with friendly staff and a good vibe. When they first opened, I tried the cheeseburger and it was excellent. But recently I had the double cheeseburger and it was probably the worst I've had rubbery, overcooked, completely dry, and lacking any flavor. It honestly felt like reheated patties from the fridge. Not sure what happened, but it was the worst . I might give it another shot and try their burrito , but with so many other great options around, I'm not sure it's worth the time. Nice new spot to grab a quick casual cheese burger. I added mushrooms and avocados to my bun. Fresh lettuce and tomato - check. Good flavored beef. My only 2 complaints: - they don't have sweet potato fries only regular - I didn't ask for banana peppers - and got it anyways. Not the end of the world. The crew was very nice and fast service. my bf and i came to Jasmin's since we saw on yelp and google that it was really well rated, so we decided to give it a try. when we arrived the employees were super nice and they brought out the food to us right after we ordered, which was really nice because it was fresh and hot. however i would rate the burgers a 6/10. they needed more seasoning and the meat tasted a bit different for me than other burger meats that I've tried. and if you decide to come, for two people we paid $54 which was kinda pricey for us but maybe it's a good price for you. read more

My friend's teenaged daughters wanted burgers, so I found Jasmin's on Yelp. It is a very small restaurant with a few tables. My expectations were low. But I was pleasantly surprised by the service and the food. The lady who worked behind the counter was cheerful and friendly. She was patient as the teenagers decided what to order. This is a small burger joint in the hills near Sutter St. It recommended to me by the hotel front desk clerk where I was staying in the area. And I have to say he was spot on with this place. This was the 1st restaurant I ate at in San Francisco. And I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The burger was big, juicy and full of favor. The fries has the perfect crispness. Jasmin's moved into a spot that Tacorea vacated. Those are BIG shoes to fill. Totally different food, but I'm sorry. They did not fill the shoes, but they can still wear them. Really solid spot here. Really good people too. The menu is simple but has solid variety. Classic American stuff or get teriyaki chicken. Interesting plot twist. The menu is themed like In'N'out and I'll just make this clear... the burgers are not even close to the same. No milkshakes either. There's a little brand confusion here that I don't think benefits Jasmins. I don't mean that disrespectfully. In all honesty this food can stand on its own and they can create their own brand without playing on anyone else's. The Burger is really juicy and in the upper tier of the burgers I've had in the city (not elite though). The loaded fries were very rich and tasty. Hot dog was good as well. Make it a little cheaper though. It's just a regular dog. This place won't be Tacorea, but they should take some notes and try and draw in the student body from Art U. Tacorea was everyone's favorite spot from the school. Jasmins you do quality enough food. Fine tune some things and I'm eating here every weekend. Why do my suggestions matter? They don't. Jasmin's is the new shop that replaced Tacorea, under the same owner with a new menu. The burgers they have are super tasty - I had the McBangBang, which is a standard burger that comes with chicken fritters inside. The patty was cooked to perfection and the fritters added a nice crunch to every bite. The buns were the best amount of puffy, and apparently they are made in house which is pretty cool. My friend got the green burger (completely plant based) and said it was a really solid burger. One of the best things about Jasmin's is how inexpensive the burgers are compared to other burger joints in the city. The burger I had was $11 and was super filling. Finally, the owner was super nice, she told us about the switch from Tacorea and constantly made sure we had everything we needed.
