Y'know, over the years I came to the belief that Jason's Deli was where old people and their taste buds went to die. I would occasionally go with my dad in his later years, as he would hit the salad bar, and back then the sandwiches seemed pretty good. That was, until I walked into a real deli some years later, and once I did that, I never walked back into a Jason's again, unless I was really dying for a sandwich and nothing else was close that had something I wanted. However, as I'm starting to make my way into those older years, I've been going in from time to time to hit the salad bar myself. It's really simple, but there's a pretty good assortment of stuff there, the dressings are pretty good, and a lot of different options, plus there are all sorts of things available to the salad bar purchaser that have nothing to do with salad. I think some of the fancier sandwiches are pretty good, but some of the regular mainstay ones just don't really seem to have much for me, pretty bland even. However, I'm a fan of the salad bar. Even when I get burned out on it, I tend to go back from time to time. There may be a lot of blue hairs in here, but even for the young un's there's something for them too. read more

Helpful staff! It was my 2nd time to have Jason's deli, and I had the muffaletta special. And honestly so much/too much bread. Would have much rather got the California Club. And I think the bacon was like/microwaveable bacon....the potato soup was good, but the "bacon" or whatever meat it was looked diff from the bacon that was on my sandwich....?? I wouldn't get this again. But I would try something different. The ice cream at the end is a bonus! read more

Worst experience I've ever had at the Lincoln Park location. I ordered online and was given a promise time of 7:23pm. I arrived at 7:30pm and was told they were working on it. I waited 10 minutes and checked again to be told it was still being prepared. After waiting another 10 minutes and being told again it was being prepared, I asked for my money back. It seemed racial in nature as no one really cared about service to me. Needless to say that I will not be going back to this location. read more

Jason's Deli is about a 15 minute drive from where I work, but the extra time and gas is definitely worth the trip! This particular location of Jason's does everything that it promises. The food is always good. Hot soups and fresh sandwiches is all one could ask for, and they deliver. Today I just got back from a JD run with a few of my coworkers. I had the Wild Salmon-wich and a bowl of French Onion soup. I'm a big fan of salmon, but I don't know about it being made into a sandwich. I was skeptical, but went for it anyway. It was OK...the salmon was good. They put some avocado on it along with a spicy aioli which really brought it up a notch. It was good, but something about a salmon sandwich doesn't work for me. The soup was on point! Crouton...cheese...onions...all great! I really like that Jason's has a lot of vegetarian options, and now they are starting to throw organic options into the mix as well! The staff is always polite and the restaurant always looks clean (even though I always order take out at this location, so I can't really speak on how the dining-in situation is. I have never had a bad meal here. The sandwiches are delicious, the salad bar is small but it has a good variety of fresh, well stocked items. The soups are delicious. The staff are attentive and friendly. This is one chain restaurant/sandwich shop that does it right. read more

HEY new sandwich shops that are moving in the area. This is what you should aspire to be. Sandwiches with actual meat on them? What a novel idea? Hmmm new places you might want to take a look. We try you out and are almost always disappointed and come back to Jason's feeling a little guilty for not going there to start with. From their pastrami to egg salad there has never been a sandwich here that I have not been pleased with. Some were not my favorite but that was my problem not the sandwiches. Their soups are about the best you are going to find anywhere; full of flavor and always just the right temperature. Never scalding and never cool they are just right. Goldilocks would approve. Their salad bar is great also many options and all are good. Don't forget the free soft-serve ice cream cone on your way out. read more

If I wasn't diabetic and could eat giant baked potatoes every day, I'd give it a 5. Another thing I like is how the owners of JD have such an emphasis on healthiness. Hearing the the owner talking about how it kills him inside to serve customers soda with HFCS made me smile. I hate that stuff too. The unlimited salad bar is enough for me to have a full lunch. So many selections that I LOVE. If I could steal a salad bar and put it in my house, it would be theirs. You need to pay Jason's a visit if you never have before. read more

2 stars simply because other Jason's Deli's are good. However, this location has the slowest service and worst management I have seen from the franchise. It took 45 minutes for them to hunt down, kill, gut, and cook my baked potato. All jokes aside, the manager, who was clearly on his lunch break, didn't bother to fix the issue. Even my sandwich, which is simply made, was prolonged greatly due to the one "cook" they had working. Anyone who is on a lunch break would have complained but luckily, mine was longer. Facilities rarely work. Want vanilla ice cream? Too bad. Want coke that day? It's a gamble. Rarely have I seen a Jason's Deli operate at this capacity. These occurrences have happened on more than one occasion. Stay away from the Six Flags Road Jason's. read more

Sandwiches and soup... two of my favorite things... oh- and FREE soft serve!! I like taking my grandma here because she loves the salad bar- it has everything! And I don't know where they get their fruit, but it is always perfectly ripe and sweet. There are a few items not on the menu (removed a few years back) that they will still make for you if you ask- try the Italian Cruz sandwich or the Fiesta potato- you wont be disappointed! read more

The food used to good, but now the portions are smaller, one trip salad bar cost is pathetic, and overall has just fallen in overall quality. We used to love it there, but we won't be back. This north Arlington location of Jason's Deli rocks. The salad bar is always clean and fully stocked, the dining rooms are airy and comfortable and the food is always fresh, hot and made to order. The muffalettas are awesome as well as the Beefeater and paninis. It's a great place to grab an inexpensive lunch and only spend between $7-$10 per person. The location by the Parks Mall is disappointing as their salad bar is usually missing certain items and their ice cream machine was not ready for the lunch hour rush - WTF???? read more

Usually good. Today I ordered online Club Royale, no Tomatoes, light honey Mustard. I picked it up and went back to work. I should have checked before leaving. This review is not about the food. The food is always wonderful. This review is about one of the rudest staffs I have ever encountered in my life. Last time I was in, I watched an employee literally run away from me when I asked for a to-go box. The cashiers are unkind and impatient. No one smiles. I love Jason's Deli I really do. However my experience the other night was not up to par. I ordered the managers special (half sandwich combo and cup of soup). My complaint is not the quality of the food. That I can never be upset about. My complaint is that my sandwich was the smallest sandwich I've ever seen in my life. It was 2"x 2". What am I gonna do with that and who in their right mind would serve that for $8. I'm well aware that I am not going to get a massive sandwich at that price, however I feel the sandwich portion could have been better. Everyday deli food with a few different options such as large baked potatoes and pastas. Nothing too special here and a tad pricey for smaller portions, but everything is acceptable here for a lighter meal. Salad bar offers some nice options, but nothing out of the ordinary. Self-serve ice cream is nice as well. You can pretty much get anything out of the deli hodgepodge that you can imagine, ranging from paninis to muffalettas to po boys. Great lunch choice if you have a group that wants some variety. Large baked potato is a definite steal. read more

I love Jason's Deli and frequent multiple locations. This one has been the worst for me. I like the fact I'm not put on hold when I call to place an order. However, the employees have been rude every time I've gone in to pick up my order. There were 8 people today and not a single one of them acknowledged me. The girl who took my payment didn't even look up at me. Didn't have a smile. Everyone seemed so unhappy. Okay, I love any Jason's deli. From Bedford, to Allen, and now here in North Arlington. The others would get 5 stars. I'm adding a star here because the chain is very good. Their salad bar is awesome!!! I ordered my favorite sandwich of all. The French dip (or in Jason lingo- the Beefeater). I love this sandwich. Until it was brought to my table. I saw immediately that the au jus was very watery. I looked around for the man who brought the meal to my table. If they want a tip, they need to be available at some point. This was about 11:15 am on a weekday. As soon as I dipped the sandwich into the sauce, it became a mushy, sloppy mess. With no flavor from the au jus. I tried again. When you dip bread, even toasted, into water, you will not be happy. Worst half-eaten sandwich of my life. Two days later was still jonesing for a French dip. Down the street is Arby's.
