This Jason's Deli is one of our regular spots. It's clean, the sandwiches are well-made, and the muffuletta is always satisfying. The seafood gumbo has a good kick with okra, shrimp, and sausage. If they upped the shrimp quality, it would really impress. Service is always nice and usually quick. A great go-to!

So, a lot of my coworkers recommended this place so I may have stopped by on a bad day. The guy behind the counter wasn't the friendliest, he honestly seemed a little annoyed that I was there. The food was meh, at best, and honestly don't see myself going back even though they are very close to where I live and work.

Same as always kinda bland. Good alternative to fast food though. Consistent, reliable, and always clean.

Rude attendant, they start to make you online order the minute you walk in to get it 35 mins later.

We learned that Hugs Cafe is a nonprofit that employs adults with disabilities, which made us want to support them even more. We had the Reuben, the Peach Gobbler, and the potato salad and everything was absolutely amazing. The jams used on the sandwiches were so unique and sweet, and they paired extremely well with the meat on each sandwich. Every bite was flavorful and clearly made with care. The potato salad was also delicious and the perfect side to our meal. Beyond the incredible food, the service was warm and welcoming, and you could truly feel the heart behind this place. If you're in the area, this is definitely a spot worth visiting as it has great food and an even greater purpose behind it!

Perfect spot for breakfast or lunch -- just don't sleep in too late because they close at 3pm! I grabbed a sandwich, a cup of soup, and a drink for around $15, which felt like a steal considering the good vibes included free of charge. Everyone working there genuinely seemed happy to be there, and the enthusiasm was so strong we actually had to defend our food from an adorably overachieving employee trying to clear the table before we were finished. Honestly, if the whole world had that level of work ethic, we'd all be retired by now. Do yourself a favor and stop by Hugs -- good food, amazing mission, and enough positivity to restore your faith in humanity for at least the rest of the afternoon!

Normally, I don't consider people from St. Louis to be credible deli evaluators, but I was desperate and made the hour drive to Grapevine. We got there at 11:15 and the line was nearly to the door. Within 30 minutes, it was well out into the street. That was a promising sign. The sandwich menu covered the entire wall over the counter. Lots of non-New-York sandwiches like Cubans, gyros, etc, but over in the left corner were the classic Ruebens and pastramis. I went for the latter. A REAL NY deli usually has a few soups like split pea and chicken noodle and matzoh. No soups. Bummer. They had a half dozen sides - 3 kinds of potato salads and a few slaws. I went with the German potato salad. The drink option was spartan - they tossed a styrofoam cup at me and pointed to the soda fountain. The pastrami sandwich was OK for Texas. A SUPER pastrami sandwich on hard rye can get me moaning like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" -- only I don't have to fake it. The German potato salad was watery and bland - I should have gone with the mustard potato salad. Turnaround was on the slow side. Napkins = paper towel roll on table. Flimsy plasticware. The overall vibe was affordable utilitarian. I'll give the sandwich a 4, everything else a 3. Next time I'll drive the extra half hour to Cindi's.
