Where to begin??? My expectations in a restaurant are usually reasonable. All you(the restaurant) needs to do is, don't blatantly irritate me (the customer). You don't have to be the best food ever or have the best service ever, just don't mess up, and if you do mess something up(we're all human) apologize and don't do it again in the same visit. My child brought a coupon home from school good for one free child's meal. I don't go to Jason's deli often, but as they were kind enough to provide coupons to kids that do well in school, I thought I would spend some of my money there. I told the seemingly clueless girl at the register that I had the coupon and proceeded to order for the family. She had to ask if they would honor the coupon which was fine. Upon paying, the girl gives me the coupon back, which I thought was strange. I didn't think much about the total price as in my mind I wasn't expecting it to be the cheapest sandwiches option in town. Once the food came to our table I started thinking about the total and why the girl gave me the coupon back. Low and behold the receipt showed no free kid's meal. A worker nearby ask me if everything was okay, and I mention there coupon had not been honored. She took it to the manager and came back telling me that they will take care of it. Again, if you mess up, fix it and we're "all good". I needed to order to-go sandwich for another party, so I went upfront again. Same "deer in the headlights" girl working the register. She asks my name and said they receipt will be stapled to the to-go bag. As we finish eating I continue looking/listening for someone to call my name or bring me my to-go order. Nothing.... They offer a free soft-serve cone when you eat there. I get both kids a cone, thinking surely the sandwich will be ready soon. Both kids finished eating their cones. I appreciate them having an ice-cream machine, however the ice-cream is not good, but I digress. At this point I think maybe I should go stand near the to-go ordering area. Five to ten minutes pass. By this point it has been 20 minutes since I ordered this to-go sandwich. Finally someone asks me what is my name, and don't you know the to-go order has been sitting on a shelf the whole time. No one called my name, and the girl at the register looked over at me several time while I was waiting up front. I picked up the sandwich and before leaving, asked if the coupon/credit had been taken care off. Of course, it hadn't. Had I not asked it would have never been done as they had to look all over for the coupon and original receipt. Mess up once, I get over it, mess up multiple time in my visit, and congratulations Jason't Deli, you are now on my black list. One other thing... Jason's Deli offers soups. While eating I notice a guy pouring a bag of pre-made, previously frozen soup into a heating vessel in the food prep area. I'm not naive to think that chain restaurants do or should make food from scratch, don't be so obvious about it. If I were running a restaurant, I would want to at least give the impression that all my food was real and not something cooked in a factory, frozen, and shipped halfway across the country. read more

I wish I could give this review 0 stars. First my family and I were really confused walking in because you had to walk across the restaurant to order your food then you go to the tables that you just walked by. Second out of 7 meals 2 had hair in them. One with a real long stand inside a sandwich and another had a mustache/eye brow hair baked in toast. This kind of situation seems to me to be a reason for the manager to come and say something, at least acknowledge or address the situation/issue. Instead, an employee simply brought us a new meal. I had the California Club that had turkey that seemed very dry and everybody at the table was by far not impressed their meals. Everything from sandwiches, different soups and pastas were not good. The broccoli cheddar was mediocre at best. We will not be coming back no matter how much free ice cream they give out. read more

I had no idea Jason's Deli was the place to be on a Saturday night! This place was packed and there were quite a few people waiting for carryout orders. I happened to be in the area and needed to grab a bite to eat. I tend to only have Jason's Deli when it is catered but a friend has been for dinner and likes it. After checking out the menu I was surprised they had pasta. It kinda worked out because I was craving pasta. I ended up getting the lighter portion of the chicken pasta primo. I didn't have to wait too long which was surprising given the amount of people ahead of me. I took my food back home to enjoy. I was suprised at how large the portion was for it being the "lighter" portion. It also game with a piece of bread. I love bread so I wish I'd gotten a couple more pieces. All in all this was an uneventful easy good experience. I'll definitely go back and try some sandwiches next time . read more

Jason's deli is known for having OK to good food at times depending on what you order and the day. If you really want to pull your hair out though, you will call to order lunch delivery. I'm not sure I ever needed a cigarette and a glass of wine so badly in my life. Not impressed. Not one bit. I was ordering my lunch while at work so I ordered online along with another coworker. I ordered red beans and rice and my friend ordered chicken tortilla soup with a grilled cheese. Once we got our orders and got back to work, we learned that our orders were wrong! :) I got NO rice with my red beans and RICE. My friend got vegetable soup instead of chicken tortilla AND the cheese on her sandwich was burned and the bread was put on so sloppily. When we did the survey, the manager Michelle called us right away on each of our phones (we filled out separate surveys) and offered us a gift card for the issues. When she called me, I was working so I ended up calling her back. She wasn't there so the associate took my information down (address) so they can send me the gift card. Super nice so that's great. My friend got her gift card by this time and it had $25 on it. I was still waiting for mine about a week later. I called back and spoke with Michelle who said "I remember you, yeah the information never got to me because I was off that day and the other manager was off the next day and I was off the next day." Basically placing the blame on everyone else for forgetting about my gift card. She then took my address down AGAIN and said she will send the gift card out this time. I just got it and it has $10 on it. Funny sending a $25 gift card to one person and a $10 one to another who's orders were pretty much the same price. Never going here again. I had a while wheat tortilla wrap with pico de gallo, bacon, eggs, and cheese - even though it'd been sitting for an hour by the time I got to the food, it was still very cheesy and yummy. The worst customer service experience ever. First and last time here. Started with the woman at the register that couldn't answer a simple question. My question was "what's included in the salad bar" this is my first time here and for her to tell me "you'll have to walk over there and see for yourself". I asked her again "oh you can't tell me what's there" again she said "no you'll have to go there and look yourself." Terrible first impression - after that she stood there with a terrible expression so I left. Called back and asked to speak to a manager. Mark answers - sounds like an immature inexperienced regular employee. I explained the situation and he rambled for 3 min straight saying she's normally ok and they don't have problems with her. Towards the end he said he apologized however by then I was already annoyed at how terrible his service was as well. I asked for the GM and he said he couldn't give me his name or his information. Eventually said his name was James. And he couldn't tell me his "personal info" when I asked when will he be there. Ridiculous man, ridiculous woman and ridiculous service. read more

My favorite menu item is the Mediterranean Wrap. It is fresh and perfect in every way. In fact, I have yet to order anything other than that. My husband orders something new each time and I'll sneak a bite or two. So far, I have yet to come across anything I don't like. I have had Jason's Deli from Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and now Round Rock. I have enjoyed then all but the one here in Round Rock is especially good. They are really busy on sat and sun at lunch. How many tries does it take to find a clean spoon? I couldn't tell you. After three tries, I instead opted for a to go cup so I could bring home my food and be assured that I was eating from clean utensils. Once I got my food home, it was okay. We love Jason's Deli, especially the fact that they deliver. There are virtually no healthy delivery options here in Round Rock, so Jason's Deli has become our go to when we need to order out. Honestly, we had a terrible experience with this particular location about 6 years ago. Along with our regular dinner delivery we ordered a salad for lunch the next day. The salad came drenched in dressing, and not even the kind we ordered. When I called about it they argued with me for 5 minutes about it, saying they didn't do it. Finally, the manager got on the phone and rudely asked, " what do you want me to do about it?" They gave me a refund for half the amount of the salad. I swore we would never order from them again. Fast forward to a couple of months ago. We were tired of the traditional delivery and fast food fare, so I decided to give them another try. So glad we did! We have ordered from them 4 times now and everything has been great. Exactly as we ordered and delivered quickly. This last order was missing a few things, a couple of things that came with the kids meals and a piece of cheesecake. I called just to get a refund for the cheesecake, but they insisted on delivering the missing items to us along with a few extra desserts. You can't go wrong by eating here with the tasty selections in a pleasant atmosphere. It is very clean and the lighting is just right. The menu is surprisingly creative and is very healthy. I love the salad bar with the free ice cream. And I have had various baked potatoes over the last few years and they are always the biggest I have ever seen in the world. And they are done perfectly. The last time I went I got the picante baked potato and hubby got a delicious turkey sandwich and chips. I recommend their iced tea.
