Stopped in for a quick coffee while doing some full blown tourist shopping. Wife already had a Starbucks but I decided to try this. While the shot in my latte was pulled good and not sour, the beans were just not good beans, or not a good roast. This flavor is exactly the type of bean I try to avoid, I would pass this up and go to Starbucks for more depth of flavor and a much smoother roast. Service was fine, and the ambiance is pretty neat being inside a surf shop, but when I'm looking for coffee, I need GOOD coffee, not just convenience and ambience.

This is a nice little coffee joint inside Huntington Surf and Sport. They have a nice variety of drinks, breakfast items, and pastries. I went with iced tea which was pretty good. I was lucky to get a seat at one of the outside tables You can watch the action on Main Street while enjoying your food or beverage. It beats walking to the major chain joint up the street.

Top-Notch hospitality! GREAT 4 shot mochas with oat milk or whole milk! Treat yourself to the REEF on a everything bagels! Highly recommended! :)

Avocado toast with feta cheese and hot sauce. Washed it down with a refreshing cold nitro coffee. Delicious!

I am visiting from out of state. I have been coming here almost everyday since I tried it for the first time. The avocado toast is the best toast I have ever tried. I get it with feta cheese and the bread is lightly toasted and so soft on the inside. The service is great. The employees always smiling are on point with friendly, quick service. I will keep coming here until I leave.

Pretending to be pondering my order but we all know I'm getting the lavendar latte ;)

Tucked away in Huntington Beach's iconic Huntington Surf and Sport on Main St. right by the pier lies a favorite locals coffee shop called Java Point. Can I give 6 stars? Because these girls deserve it. Lauryn and Jessi know just what I like; a lavendar latte with almond milk and sometimes even have it ready for me when I get there! I had been telling the girls I wanted a Java Point T-shirt, so they ordered some for customers and are now carrying them in the store! My favorite breakfast bagel-sandwich is the "reef" If you want an authentic surfer-type experience in "Surf City USA" grab an awesome coffee and chillax at the pier!

    17 dollar avocado toast

17 dollars for one slice of avocado toast that wasn't any more than decent. Sure it looked pretty but this thing wasn't filling at alllll for the price. Disappointed because it was a cute place.

Cinnamon pull apart, pizza bagel toasted with cream cheese and a cold brew coffee with vanilla and a caramel drizzle!

The banana flavor comes through so nicely and the coffee itself is not too sweet so the drink is nicely balanced. I'm not a matcha fan myself, but I really liked the matcha version of this drink (slightly better than the coffee actually!) because the matcha is so smooth. My sister got the Earl Grey Matcha and it was also very tasty and smooth. The service is excellent. It gets busy with students, but you'll get your drink pretty quickly. Seating can be limited, especially for groups. We came during the week around 3pm and the seating was a bit full, but we managed to get a table for us three. I was soooo excited because I love the taste of corn milk with coffee and it's not often sold at coffee shops. Based on taste, it's average, not the best but not the worst when it comes to balancing the sweet subtle flavor or corn and the intense bitterness that comes from coffee. I was actually quite surprised how much better the taste was than expected. It does lean a little bitter if you are one who likes your beverages very sweet. The reason why I was disappointed was because they didn't strain the corn so it was very grainy. It does not feel elevated when there are little bits that add nothing but an unflattering texture. Sorry Brew Story, I couldn't get over it. The second time I went, I tried a simple matcha latte iced. Sadly the matcha did not taste good. Thankfully it wasn't the super sweet almost cheap flavor i don't like, but i couldn't really appreciate the matcha flavor at all. Maybe I had bad luck on the days i went? I really didn't want to feel this disappointed. The space is really cool though, lots of tables and seats. They did a great job with the design.

I pulled up while waiting on my sandwich from a nearby spot (multitasking at its finest), and decided to do what any self-respecting coffee enthusiast would do--wander into a local coffee shop like I know what "notes" I'm tasting. The barista immediately passed the vibe check and recommended the Groovy Gorilla iced latte--his personal favorite. Then he casually mentioned he makes it his own way, like some underground coffee remix. Say less. I told him to bless me with the custom version, and he delivered. (Shoutout to that man--he knew exactly what he was doing.) I also grabbed a massive chocolate chip cookie with sea salt flakes because... balance. You can't just have a handcrafted latte without a cookie the size of your face. That's against hipster coffee bylaws. First sip of the latte? Yeah... I got it. Banana, chocolate, peanut butter--basically if a smoothie and a dessert had a highly caffeinated, well-dressed child. Smooth, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. Only downside? It's in Huntington Beach and not LA, which feels like a personal inconvenience to me. But if you're anywhere nearby, this spot is absolutely worth pulling up to. Final verdict: great coffee, great vibes, and a barista who might secretly be a flavor scientist.

Not the best for drinks but a good option if you need a place to work/study that opens somewhat late & isn't crowded. We tried the matcha monkey (banana matcha) and their new summer drink, melona matcha. Their banana matcha was pretty sweet and strong in banana flavor in the cream top and syrup, but lacked the taste of matcha. Same for the melona matcha. Super refreshing as it's made with cantaloupe milk but no matcha. Not bad but they're not known for their matcha, so I would stick to their coffee. Minor things to note - they blast the AC so I would make sure to dress warmly or bring a jacket. Parking can be a bit rough but I confirmed with the barista that they don't check parking at the front, so you can ignore the time limit!
