We went on a Thursday evening for a friend's birthday and upon arrival, everybody was like oh the food does not taste good here it's more for the aesthetic. Once our party was there, we were seated in a very nice private room. The waiter came and took our drink order after we had been seated for 20 to 25 minutes. The drinks took another 20 minutes to get to us and then another 15 minutes later they took our food order. Everything was overpriced. I ordered chicken enchiladas and it was $40 for two enchiladas with no side and the enchiladas taste store-bought. They never came back to ask if we wanted another cocktail, they never came back to check in on how our food was tasting or if anybody needed anything else. It was a very pretty place but the service and the food was absolutely not worth it.
I've been to practically every Javier's restaurant, and they never disappoint! The staff, vibe, decor, food, and music are always amazing. I usually order the Mariscos Trio Enchiladas, but I wanted to try something new this time, so I decided to go with the Salmon Salad and OMG it was absolutely delicious! The salmon was cooked to perfection. Definitely adding this to my list of favorites! Can't wait to come back!

Wasn't sure if I wanted to try this place coz we weren't impressed with the food at their Vegas location. Glad we gave it a try. Food was excellent, our server was fantastic... and the vibe of the restaurant is phenomenal. I had the lobster enchilada... with big chunks of lobster. Would definitely order it again on my next visit. My friends also enjoyed their orders. They even made special vegetarian sauce for my friend's vegetable enchilada.
This place is beautiful. It is hard to find because it's in an alley, and you need to park in nearby structures. However, the space itself is huge and very pretty. The food was also delicious and there are options for everyone. We did have to wait a bit, which was annoying. Our reservations were at 7:30. We got seated at 8, and the food came out closer to 9. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves.
Friends have been talking about Javier's. Finally got to experience what is all the talk about. Javier's Pasadena is located in a alley of food places. It's tucked away quite nicely. First off staff greeting and interior is really nice. I feel like it's a little get away from the hectic days. We had a group of 7 with reservations. Reservations are highly recommended. Chips n Salsa are great almost addictive. This was probably the highlight of the experience this and the atmosphere within. I'll get right to business. The menu isn't really reaching for anything outside the norm. I went with the aguachile verde which I split and the tomahawk pork chop. The aguachile was great. Not life changing but on point. Great amount too. Pork Chop was just a tad bit overcooked. Well seasoned. Plain n simple. This is a safe bet for a good meal. Veggies tasted good and the potato puree was light and flavorful. I'd say worth the $55. Service was a bit slow but not too bad. We had a large table. The prices are pretty high for what you get but there are some decent meals there. On a side note a friend got a "mariscos quesadilla". I think they had mistakenly got it or misread the option. Not a single person had made an attempt at this quesadilla. No one knows what was in it either. All we knew was that it smelled like the ocean. It was not pleasant at all. I believe we asked for the item to be removed but it wasnt. Avoid this menu item. You've been warned. PS - As a michelada aficionado the ones at Javier's Pasadena are a 2.5 out of 5. Very basic.
I came here on a Saturday right when they opened 11:30 am as my friend and I were walking around Pasadena trying to figure out where to eat. My friend was visiting and had never been before, so we decided to give it a go As soon as we walked in, I was completely mesmerized. The decor is absolutely stunning and beautifully done. I've been to the Irvine and Vegas locations, and honestly, I think this one tops both of them. The ambiance, the lighting and big white booths alone makes you want to stay awhile. What made our experience even better was our server, Eber. He was so passionate and knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely kind throughout our meal. We really appreciated the little details, the conversation, and how attentive he was without ever feeling overbearing. My friend ordered the steak picado, where you get to build your own tacos, and I ordered the fish of the day, which happened to be the sea bass. It was a little more buttery than I personally prefer, but I still enjoyed it. It came with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes, which made for a really satisfying plate. TBH I always get the trio enchiladas and I'll continue getting that from now on haha. But it's okay to try new things! My friend's steak was cooked perfectly, juicy, flavorful, and incredibly filling. The Mexican rice was yummy!! It was huge portions we were both so full. We also shared the guacamole, enjoyed some wine, and Eber had a cucumber mocktail made for my friend that was really refreshing and delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Between the beautiful space, great food, and exceptional service, this location really stood out to me. I'll definitely be back.
Javier's in Pasadena is very well decorated, it's esthetically minimalistic. Looks clean with an open floor plan. The drinks are always beautiful and delicious. We love their salsa and Guacamole. This time we ordered the 3 taco plate and steak picado plate. Food is good, but we keep going back for the drinks. Didn't take a picture of everything but their apps and drinks are more than enough.
I visited the Pasadena location of Javier's on 06/03/2026 at 5pm with a party of two. This is my first visit to this restaurant. I am a bit stunned about the amount of negative reviews. I tend to believe that the more "upscale" a restaurant tends to swing, the more critical you tend to be of the reviews. I don't necessarily think it is fair to judge a place on criteria you wouldn't judge a more economical restaurant on. With that said, I give my experience 5 stars. First off, you enter and the space is just absolutely stunning. The design, aesthetic, beauty, live plants, open windows, the two bars. Everything was amazing and beautiful. When we came early at 5pm, the restaurant was pretty empty; however, by the time we left at 7:15pm, it was pretty darn full, and that should speak volumes for a Wednesday night. Our server for the evening was Ivan. Ivan was very efficient, pleasant, attentive and was around when we needed him to be. They do bring out complimentary chips and salsa. Our table shared an order of the Guacamole. The guacamole was delicious, pure and simple. It was well worth the money spent. Our table also shared the Ensalada De Asada. It was some delicious greens with skirt steak, avocado, cucumber, onions, tomatoes, gorgonzola and an absolutely fabulous honey mustard vinaigrette. For my entree, I had the Enchilada's De Camaron, or shrimp enchiladas. It was so yummy. They were two large enchilada's with a delicious butter sauce, a generous amount of shrimp and cheese with some sour cream or crema on top. So yummy. For dessert, we shared an order of the churros, which was equally delicious. Overall, we had an excellent experience. May I recommend two things that could have been improved upon and one suggestion for the future. #1 - It took several attempts to get silverware for our table. I think this should have already been on the table, or given by the host upon being seated. #2 - Please take care of water refills. Water was not refilled unless we specifically asked. And my one suggestion is to consider a green salsa as well with the complimentary chips and salsa. Overall, this was an excellent visit and I would most certainly visit again in the future.
We went to Javier's for dinner on a Thursday and it reinforces the saying that Thursdays are Fridays in LA. It was a full house of people drinking and dining. The food was decent but you go here for the atmosphere and vibe. The interior design and furnishings are are awesome. It has a very lounge feel more than a restaurant. Louder music and alot of energy. It's not the spot for a relaxing dining experience, atleast on the weekend. Service was attentive and polite but not a lot of interaction with the staff mostly due to noise and how packed it was. All the mixed drinks were very very good. We went here for a birthday dinner before a fun night out and Javier's is that type of place. Come in for a fun time for drinks and a light bite. It's pretty pricey so drinks and a full meal can add up quick. Guacamole 2/5. Plain run of the mill guacamole. Skip and get it at any other Mexican spot. Trio of enchiladas Del Mar. 5/5. Must try in my opinion. Contents and sauces were great. Carne Tampiquena. Overall 3/5(mostly because the enchilada.) New York steak. 2/5. Way undercooked for the med rare we ordered and too rare for my wife to eat. I thought it was a good cut and could be better if prepared as requested. Chicken taquito 2/5. Good flavor but very dry. Dungeness crab enchilada 5/5, refried beans 4/5. Ceviche Shrimp 5/5. Great starter.
Saw live music was going to be here outdoors 7pm (?) so cane with zero expectations....ordered beer ($10) then another drink ($21) at the Javier's drink bar cart was a nice note out under the Pasadena warm breeze n sky!
Javier's is a great place to check out, whether you are celebrating something, or want something on the more upscale level. This is just a fancy Mexican restaurant, more than anything. For this restaurant to be able to accommodate the party of 12 pretty well, I think Daniel did a phenomenal job with his service, making sure that everyone is taken care of, and everything came out on time, and as expected. Even though this restaurant is very big and accommodate a lot of different parties, I think it's pretty good overall. It does follow its reputation pretty well. The drinks were phenomenal. The food options, is very seasonal, so whatever you see on Yelp, may not be there a couple of months later. I ordered the seafood pasta with orange sauce, it was pretty good, but $48 for a pasta dish is crazy, but it is for the ambience of the restaurant.
Food doesn't match the prices but the vibes are always great. The drinks are always strong n good though! The food in my opinion is always mid but that's because I've had some really great Mexican food for half of the price. The ambiance is really nice and upscale and it's great lace to celebrate someone or just have drinks
I was so excited to try the newly opened Javier's in Pasadena, especially since I've previously been to the Javier's in Newport Beach and Aria in Las Vegas. The ambiance is stunning, warm, vibrant, and perfect for a girls' night out. The energy in the room felt elevated but still welcoming. We ordered one of their shareable menu options for 2-3 people, which included a selection of proteins. We chose chicken, beef, and carnitas, and it came with guacamole, cheese, salsa, tortillas, red rice, and beans. Everything was flavorful, beautifully presented, and perfect for sharing. Their jalapeño margaritas were so yummy. Overall, it was an amazing night with great food, great drinks, and an even better atmosphere. I'll definitely be back! read more
Very popular place in So Cal. I hear this location is newer. It's a beautiful space and everyone is friendly. Friend made reservation and we got hour wrong (we were an hour away when we were supposed to be there) but they still accommodated us (party of 3). It's a little loud. Food is worth the wait. I got the steak tacos. Steak was tender and everything on it was perfect. Friends shared aguachile del ray. It was perfect spicy they said. They liked the red sauce. Friends enjoyed their pineapple margaritas. I enjoyed my wine. Chips and dip for the table are great. Salsa is actually very good. Pasadena is lucky to have this place! read more
We decided to dine here for Valentine's Day, I'm sure if it were any other day it wouldn't be as crowded and packed at the front door but it was jammed packed February 14th ! The front desk staff was very accommodating and attentive got us seated within 15 minutes as our reservation was at 4:00 and we were 15 minutes late ...they still kept our spot per pre arrival request. The building , decor and bar area is beautiful..... again on a busy night I would expect a wait , there were no available seats at the two bars . This place is happening !!! There is plenty of seating if you have to wait for your table outside and around the restaurant. Take a nice stroll, it's worth the wait for a date . They have valet parking and quick, we didn't have to wait long to give or get our vehicle. The service was amazing! Loved the conversation and dish recommendations of the waiters and staff. We were checked in on often. Appetizers were flawless and flavorful. I personally don't care for spicy dishes and the dish I ordered ended up killing my mood after the first bite because it was beyond spicy and it was not noted on the menu. Needless to say the waiter took the dish offered to replace it and comped that dish off the bill. I will definitely be going back , I love the beautiful upscale ambiance, food and the service! This review will not be different from my review of Javier's Vegas location but I am surprised at the low rating this location got. After reading the reviews, I am very surprised to read negative reviews about service and food quality when, as of this review, the service, food and ambiance was amazing. Same as Vegas to be honest. So, it seems whatever issues patrons were experiencing prior, have been fixed. The only complaint I have is that it is REALLY LOUD at both locations. Not because of music but just people so I'm not sure this is really a complaint against Javier's but the people that attend the restaurant. Be prepared to yell a lot at your table. Other than that, I highly recommend this place for excellent modern Mexican food (especially the Lobster Enchiladas and Guacamole). read more

Nice addition to one Colorado! Javier's is knows for his high end Mexican food. They use quality ingredients that any patron can notice. My enchiladas were elevated with the fresh crema on top. There is an unlisted kids meal that includes bean and cheese burrito, taquitos, and quesadilla. All served with beans and cheese. The star of the show for me was the aquas chilis. The cilantro and chili was very refreshing and married well with the citrus. Only tip I have for Javier's is to lower the music down a level. It was very loud and hard to have conversation Inside. The place looks amazing. Vibrant and beautiful very energetic. The bar area was nice as well. Service was great hostess was super nice and so was our server! Cocktail and mocktail we ordered they were not the greatest. Taste was not there the margarita tasted horrible. Food was okay as well. The vegetarian tacos was the best thing we had lots of flavors. The special house salad need more dressing or the dressing needed more flavors. Guacamole was not great either all we got was mased avacado. Chips and salas was good! The fried ice cream was good. Great ambiance great service i was just disappointed in with my drinks and food was okay. read more
This place has an upscale feel the minute you walk in. Bar looks amazing, with a lively energy. Service was attentive from the hostess to the servers, continually checking in on us from the moment we were seated. As much as I wanted to be wowed by the food, it was ok. Quality ingredients were used but felt as if the chef held back with to appeal to the masses. Mexican food is flavorful not just decadent. Sauces were good but need that extra spice/savoriness. Seafood was well cooked but a hint of butter, garlic, salt, spice would have elevated the Cabo Azul. Enjoyed the company, able to converse and catch up in a great setting. Will return and give this place another shot. read more
Reservations at 3:30 on a Saturday. We got there at 3 and they had asked if we wanted to be seated early. Really nice establishment. It is loud as you have more people in the restaurant. We were seated and service was great and fast. Chip and salsa, really good, thin chips and fresh salsa! We ordered the Queso fundido and it came with corn and flour tortillas Good cheese, pieces of chorizo and mushroom, came out HOT and tons of flavor. House salad tossed in ranch. Fresh and good. Scallops was a special they were running and it came with asparagus and mash potatoes. The scallops you can taste is freshness and it came with a creamy chipotle sauce. The sides were seasoned and compliments the dish. Steak skirt med, came out perfectly cooked and seasoned. Paired with a fresh green salsa, fries were ok, a little bland but the beans were good. The end of our meal we had the Flan and pan de elote Flan was creamy and really good. No air pockets but at the end of the flan. corn bread came with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and it was great with the bread. Service overall was great and we sure will be back! what a nice way of bringing in the new year! read more
Absolutely loved the new Javier's in Pasadena. The space is stunning--very open, bright, and airy with all the white tones. It feels upscale but still warm and inviting. The staff was wonderful, attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious across the board, and the drinks were solid as always. We went on a weekday, so it wasn't too busy, which made the experience even better. We ate the churros before they even made it into the photo (zero regrets). Everything we tried was delicious. Really surprised with these low ratings. I have been a fan of Javier's for sometime now so was excited to see it made its way to Pasadena. Loved in the heart of One Alley, its very minimalist decor has an inviting feeling. Team was friendly and offered suggestions. Since we had a resy, no waiting which was a good thing because it was packed. Loved their margaritas which are always nice and strong. We got the Cabo Azul and Pescado del Dia for entrees which I recommend for our seafood lovers. The both tasted fresh and flavorful. Churros of course for dessert! Loved the ice cream to dip the churros in. If you haven't been here before, it's refined Mexican food. Think what your Abuela made but make it fine dining. Can't wait to come back! read more
January 2026 - 4 stars for the ambiance but overall food too expensive for the portions and taste. We had a reservation at 7:30pm on a Saturday night and were seated at 8:30pm. No apologies, no acknowledgement that we were seated a full hour after our reservation time. Why did we wait? We were told it would be 10 more minutes but apparently their minutes are different from ours'. Food/Pricing - Over $530 for 6 entrees and 5 drinks. They almost forgot to give us tortillas that came with the Steak Picado. The steak itself was tender and already cut up, beans and rice that came with it were good. Service/Ambiance - Automatic gratuity of 20% is included with a party of 6. Service was okay, not justifiable of an auto 20% in my opinion but times are different now. They were on top of refilling waters and came to check on us from time to time. The place is very aesthetic but too loud that we had to literally yell in order to hear one another. Javier's opening in Old Town Pasadena was definitely a big deal. This location has so many memories for me because we had many birthday celebrations and memorable meals here when it used to be Il Fornaio. So to see Javier's open here feels like a new Pasadena restaurant landmark. The decor is absolutely 10 out of 11. Beautiful, beautiful. I first came for lunch with a friend, and later came back for dinner. Lunch feels more casual and not too busy, good for a business casual lunch or just catching up with friends. Dinner is much busier and has more of a vibe. I don't drink alcohol, but everyone keeps saying the espresso martini is the hit, so if you're not like me, that's probably something to try. For me, my absolute favorite is honestly the chips. I don't think I've ever had tortilla chips so crunchy and perfect -- not too oily, not overly fried, just perfect. I could eat them all day. Javier's menu is known for elevated Mexican dishes, seafood, enchiladas, ceviche, guacamole, queso fundido, and handcrafted cocktails. But for me, the whole experience is really the ambiance, the energy, and the presentation. It's a beautiful place to dine in Pasadena. read more
Was excited to have a Javier's closer to me and couldn't wait to check it out. We made reservations in advance (recommended) and I was worried about the wait times I read online even if you had a reservation. So wasn't sure what to expect day of... Anyway, made it to our 4pm reservation and the place was already busy. They will not seat you until your entire party is there. Once our party was complete, in like 3 minutes we were take to our table. So definitely did not have the wait time issue. Our server was very sweet and kept checking in on us if we needed anything. We started off with the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa had a nice kick to it- not spicy - but that refreshing salsa that keeps you going back for more. They have a variety of margaritas to choose from and martinis. We each had the Jamaica Margarita and piña margarita. The Jamaica was on the smoother side. Piña was a little stronger due to the st germain but still good. For our app, we winner with the taquitos and did both beef and chicken. I really liked the beef ones and that creamy avocado salsa underneath was tasty. For our main we shared the Cabo Azul $50 and it came with- Maine lobster enchilada | shrimp taco |poblano chile with shrimp & Dungeness crab | plus white rice and black beans Good amount of food, the lobster enchilada was my favorite on the plate. The shrimp taco had a crispy fry to it. Overall, it was a nice dinner in a cool spot. As the night went on it got even busier and for a Wednesday night the place was crackin haha There's a couple paid parking lots surrounding so take your pick and take a short walk to get there. read more
We love it here! The atmosphere is amazing, the food is delicious and the staff are so on top of it! I love seeing how everyone works together and are constantly checking in to make sure your drinks are full and if you need anything else. We've come here multiple times since opening and will be coming again next weekend for my birthday. We love to celebrate here! It's definitely a special place for us where we get to celebrate with each other for birthdays, promotions, and everything in between! read more

My friend and I went to Javier's in Pasadena, located in the One Colorado shopping center, and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and taken to our table. Our server, Ivan, was amazing--friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. The restaurant has a chic Tulum-inspired vibe, enhanced by the music playing in the background, which really set the mood. We ordered the shrimp empanadas, and they were absolutely to die for--perfectly crispy on the outside, with savory, flavorful shrimp inside. We also shared the Arrachera plate, which was more than enough for both of us and beautifully prepared. Overall, this place is a must. Great food, great service, and an incredible atmosphere. This experience was completely different than my first visit. Our reservation was at 2pm and then seated us immediately. From there our waiter Tevin was the absolute sweetest nicest, most attentive waiter. I ordered seafood enchiladas and my friend ordered a chopped salad. We also ordered drinks. The salsa and warm chips were delicious our food was served quickly. It was pretty expensive for not that much food, but then again, it's Javier's so we expected it. The only downfall was that the valet was not out front to take our car, so finding parking close enough for me to walk with back issues took about 30 mins. They said the valet doesn't work for them directly so they sometimes don't show up. They need to get a real valet assigned. But other than that, our experience was great! Let's be real...Javier's isn't the place you go for amazing food, it's the place you go for the vibes and the occasion. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the energy was definitely there. Surprisingly, it was packed for a rainy Sunday night. Perfect spot for a night out with friends, date night, or a birthday celebration. That said, if you're looking for good-value Mexican food, this is not it. We ordered the Tablita ($120), which is meant for family-style sharing, and the Trio de Enchiladas del Mar ($55). The guacamole was a shocking $20. We also brought a birthday cake for the birthday girl, but the restaurant wanted to charge a cake-cutting fee of $3 per person, which felt unnecessary. Our bill for four people with drinks came out to about $300 after tax and gratuity. Just be prepared to spend if you're dining at Javier's! read more
Today was our 39th Anniversary, so I wanted to elevate lunch beyond normal. Parking here is really not available unless you do parking structure or valet. The food is done very well and the service was excellent. The wife had a steak salad and I had lamb chops. The environment is like a dream, being predominately white with secret rooms and paths through arches. The bar scene is so elegant and definitely decadent. Parking is a drawback ands to the total price of dining. Cost is a major drawback here, but for special occasions, it is definitely a contender! read more

Ok Pasadena !! I'm happy Javier's is finally opened. I had the pleasure of coming on the opening day and it was definitely a very good time. Me and my party hung out at the bar for a few hours and then we sat down when everyone from my party finally arrive. The vibe is amazing and the drinks were very good. I ordered the black mamba for my drink and all the bartenders actually superb. The drink was the bomb!! The service was exceptional. Everyone was really nice upon entering, and our server was amazing. For my food, I just got two cheese, enchiladas, and rice and beans, which is good and of course the guacamole I ordered which is always good!! The ambiance is very nice I love how they have a water fountain inside and they have about 3 private rooms they have two bars one when you walk in and one towards the back in the middle is very nice and elegant. I like the nice booth seating as well I would definitely come back here and I highly recommend it is a very nice and very good vibes!! -Marshay D. read more
The restaurant's interior is gorgeous. I like that it made it feel like I'm on vacation. My only concern is that (and this applies to any restaurant) when a dish is spicy, the customer ordering it should be forewarned. Spiciness is a subjective experience, and it may be too much for some people. I believe it should be treated like an allergy when questioning a customer before ordering (i.e., whether they're okay with the spice level or with spice at all). I think it's unfair to judge customer service because this restaurant is new and everyone is adjusting; however, my waiter, Carlos, was great! Lastly, my group ordered mole, chicken enchilada, veggie enchilada & fried ice cream. All dishes were beautifully presented; however, the flavor was not out of this world good, but it was good. read more
Very excited about the new opening of this location! The ambiance and aesthetics are so pretty, and everything feels fresh and well thought out. The food was delicious, and the drinks were just as good. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get reservations days in advance, so we decided to do a walk-in. The host quoted us 30-45 minutes. After about 30 minutes, I checked in since other parties that arrived after us were getting seated. The host mentioned that it's really hard to seat a party of two and couldn't give us an estimate on how much longer it would be. She suggested checking the bar area, and luckily we were able to find seating at the second bar. Our server/bartender was nice and attentive, but another server kept checking on us, which made us feel a bit rushed, like we needed to leave. I understand they're still fairly new, so things like this can definitely be worked out over time. Overall, it was still a great experience, and I'll for sure be coming back again. read more

I was hesitant on visiting this location due to the poor, bad reviews but decided to give it a chance to see for myself....and was not disappointed!! I visited with my sister and mother around noon, without reservations, and they gladly welcomed us and sat us immediately. Our server, Marcos, was very attentive, friendly, and offered his personal recommendation on drinks. Our food was delicious and didn't take long to arrive. The drinks were exquisite and refreshing. The busser continuously refilled our waters, chips and salsa. Overall, we had an excellent experience that I would love to visit again, especially in the evening. Additionally, the setting/vibe of the interior design is very coastal and beautiful - whether you sit inside or outside, you'll enjoy your seat. In regards to parking, right behind the building is a public parking lot (white building). I recommend you to not drive around and just park there - unless you can do valet ;) read more

I'll start by saying I've eaten several times at the Las Vegas & Century City locations this was my first time visiting Pasadena. I was initially very excited to try the new location because my experience at the other two locations have always been pleasant. Decor: Absolutely stunning. We sat on the indoor outdoor patio area. The weather was amazing. There was a nice breeze coming in the ambience was perfect. Actually, it reminds me of a restaurant out of the country. Service: Our server was SUPER NICE. I'm not sure if she was overwhelmed or if she was new but once we were seated, no one came over to greet us. Bring us water our silverware. We sat there for about 10 minutes before I had to ask another waiter that was walking by if they could find our server. Once she came over and introduced herself, we were actually ready to order because we had already sat there for so long. We ordered our food. We asked her for plastic silverware, salt, pepper, hot sauce, like we literally ordered everything at the same time. By the time our food arrived we still didn't have napkins or silverware. Food: I ordered my regular the "Trio" and I was very disappointed that it was cold. I had to send it back to the kitchen. My husband's food was cold as well. They took our plates back. They warmed our food up, brought it back out and brought us new servings of rice and beans that were still cold a second time. at this point I wasn't really hungry anymore. I waited so long for my food that I got full off of chips and salsa so I took a couple bites and then packed it up to go. The guacamole is not my favorite. I wouldn't order it again. It's more like a purée guacamole (mashed potatoes, consistency ) it doesn't seem like it's made to order more like they blended a large batch and then serve it as ordered. No tomato's, cilantro, lime, just avocados peppers and onions. I basically just ate chips and salsa. Ceviche: My husband ordered a ceviche to go when we got home. I took it out of the bag, and the portion was literally so small. It was less than a handful and I have tiny hands. I'm not a big fan of ordering to go while I'm inside of a restaurant because I always feel like they give you smaller portions. I normally will just order as if I'm eating it at the table and then once they bring it out I'll package it to go, but I didn't do that this time because I was ready to go home. This was Friday lunchtime, busy but we were seated right away. This place probably rocks in the evenings. Massive bar and lots of large tables for 8 or more people. Food: Fresh guacamole was not at all spicy just a bit pricey. The salsa was so fresh with " real " good tomatoes. Chips cooked just right although a bit salty today. Chicken in the enchiladas was moist and tender. Beers are all bottled from Mexico, no drafts. Lots of tequilas and cocktails to choose from. Ambiance: The indoor/outdoor dining area is super plush hip and comfy with massive palms and greenery and giant metal flower sculptures all around. Service excellence. Everyone seemed to be helping each other from ordering to delivery to clean up. Three different people working seamlessly. read more

It delivers an exceptional dining experience for Mexican cuisine from start to finish. The ambiance is vibrant, elegant, and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with authentic flavors, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality and excellence. The food was fresh, delicious, and expertly prepared. Cocktails were exceptional and potent !! We had Chile Verde, Quesadilla as well as Pena & Javier's Cristalino margaritas. What truly elevated the experience was the outstanding staff. From the warm greeting at the door to the attentive service throughout the evening, everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests have a great time. Ambiance 10/10 food 10/10 service 10/10 Marco was our server and he was soooo nice and attentive he made Sure our glasses were filled with water without having to ask! Food came out hot and ready to eat the drinks were delicious and paired well with the chips n salsa! Food was very delicious! Service was not that well as we had a reservation and we still had to wait and others that came after us were seated before us. The ambiance was very overpacked and very busy. We got sat in the event area of the restaurant as there were no other place to be seated. read more
Check-in was quick and organized. The ambiance is absolutely stunning. It genuinely felt like I was transported to Cabo for the evening. The food definitely lived up to the atmosphere. The enchilada was good and the sauce had a nice kick to it. The only downside is the pricing. It is on the higher side, so it may not be an everyday spot for most people. That said, if you're looking for a special night out with great food and a beautiful setting, it's definitely worth checking out. read more

We enjoyed our time here. We were served pretty quickly and the interior was absolutely gorgeous. We ordered the La Tablita which was the perfect amount for three girls. It really had everything you needed and I have to admit, the meat was delicious. I don't really like steak like that, but I couldn't stop eating it. read more

From the moment we walked in, the experience at Javier's in Pasadena was exceptional. The entire staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. A special shout out to Mauricio and Oswaldo! they were beyond knowledgeable, incredibly helpful, and so friendly throughout our visit. They took the time to answer all of our questions, made excellent recommendations, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. It's rare to find a restaurant where every member of the team contributes to such an outstanding experience, but Javier's definitely does. We'll absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing Mexican food and outstanding hospitality! read more
