    Guju Thali (way too sweet)
    Kat S.

Long-time patrons of Jay Bharat, a vegetarian restaurant, but I promise you'll find everything delicious and satisfying. From the pani puri to a full Thali, there's something on the menu for everyone. Plus, they have a daily specials board. They provide quick, efficient service; the staff is friendly; and there is plenty of seating for groups.

    Mini thali

Hands down the best thali and faluda in Artesia. Jay Bharat is also a South Asian institution by now. I've been coming here for years and years and the quality has not diminished. The puris are fluffy, the vegetables succulent and spiced just right. Dal rice pickle and papads round out the platter. I usually get the mini thali which is plenty, but sometimes if you're in the mood for the delicious saffron sweetness of srikhand or the syrup soaked gulab jamun, get the full on Gujarati thali. The more rustic roti shak is very satisfying if you're on a health kick. Sharing a lively crunchy yogurty cool chaat to start is a must! And don't leave without jelebis and laddoos! All so worth it and the recent renovation only transports you instantly to an airy chaat house in India!

THALI - Awesome and Very Filling

Jai Bharat is always my preferred spot for a quick Indian Meal (Its a vegetarian only place though). Its got variety of Indian Snacks , Sweets , Thalis and is a delight for those craving Indian Veg food. Ordering process is quick (you order on the counter and food gets delivered to the table) and service is quick and efficient. They have remodeled the place extensively and ambience is very good for an Indian Fast food restaurant. I highly recommend their Chaats, Thalis and their sweets. In fact ,I like almost everything on the their menu !

    Cheese naan

Jai Bharat Restaurant is definitely a busy spot, and it's easy to see why -- the pricing is very cheap and reasonable. We ordered quite a variety: two paneer tikka variations, cheese dosa, aloo dosa, cheese naan, Italian samosas, and vada pav. Overall, the food quality matches the price point, which makes it a solid place if you're just looking to grab a quick snack rather than a full, high-quality dining experience. Some items stood out more than others, but nothing was particularly memorable. That said, for what you're paying, it's fair. The new revamped space looks nice and is a definite upgrade, making the overall experience more enjoyable. Even though I'm giving this a 3-star review, I'll continue to dine here. With that being said, there's definitely room for improvement -- especially in food quality. I wouldn't mind seeing slightly higher prices if it meant better consistency and flavor. Good spot for a quick bite, just not somewhere I'd go out of my way for a top-tier meal.

    Roti Sabji

Good food, great Ambience, a bit on the pricier side. Overall very good. Staff is amazing keeps the place amazingly clean and well organized. If you miss true home made food definitely go there. The Gujarati thali was bang on!! The cheese naan was surprisingly soft and delicious, the radga pattice needed some work but decent. Note: most of the menu pictures here are of the old prices. They have increased, just something to keep in mind.

    They won't open until September

They are finally open!! Its now double the size and they have more staff. Prices are not available until you get to the POS. Decor is really nice and personalized.

Mini Thali with undhiyu and kaju corn; yum!

As with many options in Little India, this place did not disappoint. I ordered the mini thali with undhiyu and kaju corn as well as pani puri. I loved the dip that comes with papdi; it was so flavorful and delicious. I also tried the paneer tikka; that was also delicious! In general, the food was tasty; I would definitely come back. The pani puri was also solid...not the best I've had but still quite tasty!

Went here to get some Indian food. Got a masala and garlic dosa. Taste okay abit blank. The sambar was good and clean facility with good set up. Good for them vegetarian homies. No meat.service good but napkins and utensil too cheap. Owner should spend abit more on the utensils and water cups as they were flipped mouth piece down easily contamination.

Renovated place is beautiful with lots of seating. Food was great with variety to choose from everything tasted fresh. I love undhiyu & puri & avocado bh!

    Our new favorite! Bhal.
    RoseEllen S.

Once upon a time, we started our progressive Diwali celebration here. We enjoyed the Bhal dish. It was terrific! Perfect amount of chutney with a tremendous crunch! We loved it! The samosas were equally good. We will be back! We really liked the new, updated look, too! The end.

    Pani Puri

The food is soooo good. This was my first time here and I have only had Indian food a handful of times, so I wasn't sure what 95% of the menu consisted of. The man who took my order was very patient, explained the menu clear, and helped me pick out an appetizer and a light meal. The garbanzo beans were DELICIOUS!! The cheese naan? Top tier. This is definitely going to be my go-to spot when I'm in the area! Glad I came here.

    Pav Bhaji
    Acira M.

My favorite place to come with my grandparents! Prices and portions are amazing and everything on the menu is packed with flavor. My favorites are the dahi sev puri and the pav bhaji. The dahi sev puri is sweet and savory and has the perfect mixture of textures. The pav bhaji is savory and spicy and is packed with veggies and paired with toasted bread.

If you want to hear about brand loyalty, this is the place my family has gone for home-style meals since before I was a born.

Jay Bharat is the best. The Gujurati and Punjabi Thalis are amazing and the smaller plates are delicious as well. 10/10, highly recommend.

Great Indian food although the chai was flavorless. The owner seemed cranky at the counter, too, like we were a bother.

This unassuming place is clean, well-lighted, and not expensive. For these reasons, I keep going there instead of Ashoka or Rajdani.

Thanks to my Vegan SoCal group for the recommendation!!…read moreAfter a fun day as a vendor with my daughter, Rachel, in Long Beach, in my Vegan SoCal group recommended PlanTitas, among others. YAAASSSSSS We were STARVED and even my Omni daughter loved everything!! Women owned, family business that is top notch Vegan Mexican food!! We started with Elote Fried Corn Ribs. That sauce!! I ordered the Taco Plate with Al Pastor & Jackfruit Carnitas, and side order of an Asada Taco. Rachel ordered the Flauta Plate. Chef Aileen came to our table to check on us, after her niece (our server) let her know we came because of a FB group recommended. She was ... where are your chips? We make them fresh to order... so we added chips & guac. OMG Then she came back later, checking in again, we were so happy, and how I was wanting the Aguachile next time. She says, wait, I have extra from another order, you can try. Light, fresh, spicy, similar to ceviche, yet more complex flavor. Dang. Yeah, gotta come with Jennifer!

The prices aren't low, but you're getting food that tastes like it's made with care and attention. I had a burrito with baja shrimp, and it was very satisfying (in fact, more than I could eat in one sitting). Next time I'd try asada or al pastor. We ordered chips for the table, and while they were pricier than we thought chips and salsa should be, they were clearly made in-house and we all enjoyed them. The salsa was just hot enough to have some kick. The restaurant is small and certainly isn't fancy. My only complaint would be that our table was wobbly, something they can hopefully fix. It's a minor complaint in what was otherwise a really good experience.
