The first time we went(husband and I), it was pretty good(beef soup which is only seasonal was very good), the buns were ok. I definitely had better for sure. I know that this restaurant has great reviews so some people will think I'm crazy. Others will think and say, yeah it isn't as good as the reviews profess. I'm not saying people are lying but maybe convincing themselves that it was good. I am Asian and I have to be honest so here it is. It's not worth the money. We gave it a second and third try and each time, it got worse. The noodle dish was just mucky gravy that tasted really weird. The pork buns which are large had a quarter size piece of meat inside(I regret not taking pictures). We didnt want to cause a problem so we didn't complain. Just took our loss and left, we just won't go back. The wait and hype is not worth it. it's hard to go against most of the reviews and I truly hate to give a negative review but it's to save people trouble, time and money! He is bubbly, funny, generous and thoughtful and his young daughter is the ultimate hostess passing out drinks, plates and cutlery with a smile. He wanted me to try their new Green Monstah dish which was amazing! I was hesitant at first as I am not a fan of olives, but could barely taste them. Jayd Bun has been recognized for serving up some of the best Chinese food in not only the state but in the country and let me tell ya... they are worthy of all the praise. I first visited Jayd Bun last month for a yelp event and I enjoyed the food and experience so much that I decided to visit them again. Jayd Bun is a 45 minute drive for me but luckily they have plenty of breweries nearby to visit while you wait or to bring your food to after you pick up. My advice is to call and place your order an hour ahead because Jayd Bun is made to order so everything is fresh and delicious. The owners are so friendly and treat every customer like they are family. I've tried all of their buns including the chicken, pork, and veggie, all of them were yummy. As far as their noodles go I've had the October (hot) and Peanut Butter (cold), my plan is to try every item on their menu. This is only the second time i've been here, but the service and food quality has not disappointed! I got the pork buns and congee last time I went, and both were amazing. I decided to try the October noodles this time, and they totally live up to the hype. I'm a college student, so this is my first choice for a once in a while treat when I have some spare time and money!
