We have been coming to Jazz'd since 2017. It was where we had or first date! We have always loved the service. We no longer live in the area so when we come and visit we make sure to eat here. We were in town this past weekend (8/27/22) and stopped for dinner and drinks, the service was amazing! We decided to sit at the bar because the wait time for a table was a little longer than we wanted to wait. Why wouldn't it be, the food is amazing!!! We sat down and the bartender Buffy came right on over and got us started with drinks and took our order. She was on top of everything our entire visit even though she was very busy and the bar was super crowded!! She was absolutely amazing!!!!! We didn't have to wait for anything! Loved this place. Even though we didn't have a reservation the four of us were seated quickly on a Saturday night. The waiter was great and brought us our refills before or glasses were even empty. Even though we over ordered it was all great food. We were able to talk fine at the table without the music being too over powering. The live band played great music. We went inside just as they were openning for the day and we were excited hoping to find a selection of wines from Spain as "tapas" is a spanish term and is usually associated with spanish food and restaurants. To our surprise the bartender's response was to quickly suggest that we go to a mexican restaurant. He did not bother to show us the wine list or offered any other options (even though he did mention they had some wines from Spain in stock). As a hispanic, I want to hear someone ask me what country I am from instead of assuming that everyone with spanish accent is Mexican. read more

The food was great! For small plates, the portions were much bigger than expected. The atmosphere and live band were inviting and entertaining. The only downside is that the kitchen closes at 9:30 which is pretty early seeing that people would come here looking for a lighter fare as the evening goes on. Weeknights seem to be slow which is nice. I would like to come back here and experience the weekend vibe. read more

We picked this place for our big night out in Savannah during the weekend of my bachelorette party, and it was the perfect choice. They had plenty of space for a large party, so we didn't feel cramped or self-conscious about being too chatty. Our server was incredibly friendly and on the ball, always popping in to refill our water and make sure we were all set on booze. I love the small plates concept that isn't quite tapas - basically, everything is appetizer-sized, which means you can order two for a whole meal, or do what we did, and split a table full of breads & dips, then order one small plate apiece as a meal. I went with the firecracker shrimp egg rolls, which were SO good - just a crispy wonton wrappers around a whole shrimp, with Thai chili sauce, edamame, cucumber, and another soy sauce. It was a familiar-feeling dish, but much more creative - and tastier, too! We split the terra cotta cheese plate for the table - OMG, that roasted garlic in the middle! - as well as a rich, savory tomato dip and a couple orders of bread and oil. In other words: a lot of bread, but who's counting calories on vacation?! Everything was SO good. Thanks to our server, who also comped me a bride-to-be shot, and who kept us rolling in booze. We ordered doubles to go for our ghost tour around the city right afterward, and those drinks did NOT disappoint. So strong, so worth it. This is another favorite restaurant of mine in Savannah. This is a great place to spend an evening out while on a date, or to entertain friends and family. Typically, there is live music, and that fosters a joyous environment, which enhances the experience (along with the decor). The food is wonderful, and the chefs do a great job of presenting the food, once it is served. Pros: The food was good. I had the cheese plate, my boyfriend had the fried chicken with chorizo gravy, and our guests had the beef sirloin tacos. The atmosphere is chill and we didn't have to wait for a table at 8 on a Saturday. Cons: The drinks are overpriced and you're basically getting mixer or juice. You couldn't taste any alcohol. Our server was rude. We were talking about our food (not poorly) and he came by and said "well if you would have read the menu," and rolled his eyes. He was very aloof after that. We went here our first night in Savannah based on Yelp reviews and our love for tapas-style dining. We went with the tapas for two, and were very disappointed. The only redeeming qualities for this restaurant were our server and the fact that dessert actually decent. All of the food we ordered was completely uninspired, and seemed to use very cheap ingredients in comparison to the price point. The atmosphere was very awkward as well. You can tell that the place used to be a club. All they did was carpet part of the dance floor and put out some cheap tables and chairs. We did mention our dissatisfaction to our server, which usually warrants a visit from the manager. However, we got the impression that he wasn't the type to have any interest in guest complaints. I know I sound like your typical whiny Yelper here, but my boyfriend and I both have a lot of experience in the restaurant/bar industry, so I'd like to think our opinions have some weight to them. read more

Stopped in for tapas. Got there around 6:30 and all was good. Ordered the tapas for 2. Wine was fine, soup (crab) was fine. Then things went off the rails. The remaining tapas came out over the next 10 minutes. Table was covered with food and getting cold. Server didn't stop by for almost 20 minutes. Finally dismd and asked for a box for our leftovers and the dessert menu. 15 minutes later, still nothing. Finally got her to stop and just asked for the dessert to go. 15 minutes later got that and the check. My advice, don't go. Food is good but the service is terrible. read more

I love this place so much. I haven't been here in a hike but just realized I've never done a review. The atmosphere is amazing. They have a live band that plays wonderful music and can definitely get the crowd going. It can also be an intimate setting if you sit a little further from the band. A little disappointed to be honest. Read great reviews about music and food. We had a good time but mostly because our waitress, Michelle was so wonderful and attentive. Food was mediocre and music was truthfully barely acceptable for a place that's known for music. The hostesses were also barely pleasant and not overly helpful. I love this place! I am a local and come here about twice a month. BUT...the bar service is terrible. Which is sad because I prefer to sit at the bar. Your drink will stay empty and it will take 20 min before they run your card. The bar back isn't allowed to get you water so we sat this past time for 15 Min. Before we got some water...and then our drinks came 10 min later. Food was amazing as always but it's sucks that good food in this town comes with a trade off of bad customer service. After walking all of Savannah to try and find a place to eat, we pick here. I have never done a tapas restaurant. Shockingly the portions were good for 2 people. We shared the Filet, Lamb, Bread, Crawfish mac and cheese and the Cheese steak egg rolls. Nothing was bad. I have never had a bad experience at Jazz'd! This is my favorite place to go when friends come into town or to celebrate a special occasion. The service is always wonderful and the food is on point. I would suggest getting two small plates per person or ordering a whole array of plates for the whole table to share. Everything that I have tried has been delicious, but my favorites are the shrimp and grits, the Jazz'd spring mix salad, the blackened salmon, or the steak Diane. The menu is huge, so there is definitely something for everyone. The drink menu is also wonderful, and I love just coming to the bar to listen to live music on the weekends and enjoy a cocktail. Between the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and the service, I cannot say enough good things about Jazz'd! You will not be disappointed. read more

First time in Savannah. We happened to stop to read the menu and a couple leaving raved about the food. We love tapas so we went for dinner. Amazing doesn't cover it! The blackened salmon was a burst of flavor and texture and the tuna tacos with wasabi was crazy good. Pork tenderloin was tender and tasty. Triple chocolate brownie with salted caramel gelato...yum! The name is deceiving: No tapas, and no jazz. The food is heavy and overdone, more like bar food than tapas. The ambiance is garish, not at all intimate. In fact, staff members were vacuuming around diners who were attempting to enjoy their meals. Loved it. A date night classic. The ambience, the service, the music, the food and most of all the drinks. A more mature crowd was in attendance on the night we went, much to our delight. **Getting a table would have taken about an hour so we sat at the bar. It felt nice to go out, sit at a bar, have a good drink and some fantastic food without the pushing, shoving and bar-fighting breaking out which is typical for a lot of these Savannah haunts. The place is very clean, very modern and you can dress up or down without feeling like a fish out of water. The music was live but not overwhelming so I could still have a little witty repartee with my date. The drinks are a bit pricey but it is stiff enough that I didn't mind. The highlight of the night was that crab cake which is on my top three ever. If you have seen "once upon a time in Mexico" you know, Johnny Deep shoots the cook because the dish was too GOOD. Had a good experience. Got mojitos. While they didn't have middled mint I was able to do it myself. And it was tasty. Loved the ambiance. We went on a Monday which I guess is the only night with no music. However it was nice and peaceful. So was a great evening and great food. I had received a response after my post. The owners replied to let me know they would work with their staff on the mojitos. Great food, great atmosphere. I visited here on a bachelorette weekend and everyone loved it. It's down underground which is a nice touch. We all made a point to order different plates and try some of everyone's which is the best way to go if you have a larger party. Everything was delicious, I don't think I tried something I didn't like. The drinks were great as well. I definitely recommend the Georgia peach martini. This is a great spot for a date night or dinner with friends. Waited 21 minutes at the bar to be exact before being asked if i needed help . Only reason i know is because i was on a break from work. I watched 3 couples who seated after me be served. When finally asked was I helped and I let the young lady know that I wasn't she stated that she takes drink orders. She must have thought about how silly that sounded and came back to ask me what I wanted. I placed my order and the guy who had been working the bar the entire time never even looked my way but typed the order in the computer. Coming from someone who works down here who is trying the food for the first time already the impression is not good. I work in customer service and not only am I disappointed but I'm more less shocked at the lack of effort that was put into assisting me. Both people at the bar especially the guy who has glasses was so excited to help other customers. Crazy thing is one of their workers came into the hotel where I manage to provide us with their business card some weeks ago and told us come try out their stuff so we can refer our guest. So you can imagine how I felt coming to try out the place just to be placed on the back burner. Funny thing though he even asked me do I want to pay now or wait for my food. First thing that he said to me since placing my order. All I ordered was the wings. They get 2 stars more so because of the wings actually being good. However it was $13.11 for 6 wings.
