I had a pleasant experience working with Jose to re-tile my bathroom floor that I called him again when we were ready to do the shower/tub area. Jose and his guys did an awesome job! They came on time, wore masks, and cleaned up after themselves right after. I hired Jose to tile a secondary bathroom and the master bathroom. He had an employee tile the secondary bath and he did a good job. I paid for that portion of the job and was happy with the outcome. I gave him a deposit (half the job cost) on the master bathroom work, and a week into the job his employee told us Jose hadn't paid him anything and he wouldn't be able to come until Jose paid him. Jose went radio silent at this point and would not respond to texts or calls. We worked with his employee directly to complete the remainder of the work and when Jose found this out he called me very upset that his employee went behind his back. I explained the position he had put us in and we agreed that he would return the deposit that weekend. He has not returned the deposit and has gone radio silent again. Don't give Jose a deposit until he has done work or has receipts! I thought he was trustworthy, but I guess I was wrong. read more

We asked JC Tile to do a decent-sized job at a strip mall that I help to manage. They provided us with a quote at a reasonable price very quickly, unlike most other contractors that we contacted. Throughout the whole process Jose was great about communication. He would answer emails and texts almost immediately. We would discuss the designs together, and he made sure that work would be done as we wanted it. He also provided advice on little details to make sure that the work would look properly finished. Ok... I never had work done so this is a review on the experience up to deciding NOT to use them. Left a voicemail...called back 4 days later. Attempted to call back on 3rd day and voicemail was full and would not take messages. Showed up late for site walk through and quote. Reviewed 2 bathrooms. Never wrote or took a single measurement down for bathroom one (even with asking a quote to replace back wall of tile and 3+ feet of tile on 2nd wall). 2nd bathroom again no measurements taken, no notes taken, and clearly by the comments made I could tell he wasn't interested. I completely understand looking at a job and deciding it is not a good fit but there is a professional way to go about it. The additude, actions, and comments of this person would have guaranteed had a quote been provided I would not be sending him my business. At this point I stopped the walk through and cancelled the request for quote. The reason this is not a one star is he was honest. Thankfully I didn't have as bad of experience with money as other reviews. We remodeled our secondary bathroom and master bathroom. They did a good job on the work but left a few things undone and Jose won't respond to me anymore to get those problems fixed. I had to figure them out on my own and fix them myself. The biggest thing left undone was that he didn't reassemble the shower fixture. The new tile was much thicker so the existing fixture wouldn't work as is. I had to get new hardware to try and make it work but it still doesn't work right and it has been a few weeks with no response. Don't give him final payment until you are 100% satisfied with the work. read more

There seems to be a common tread if you have read the poor reviews on him below. I tried for several months to recover money he owed me (I had a signed agreed and his IOU to boot). He failed to show up with the money, he rarely returned a call or a text; many excuses, lies etc. about the money being sent, or he would meet me with the cash. Be cautious of his smiling nice personality, his friendly demeanor; he speaks of his family a lot, that he is a Christian, his Church...then befriends you. There are not enough compliments that I can add to this review, that will describe the work that Jose did for us. We had Jose come out to redo our 2 bathrooms, laminate flooring throughout the house and tile flooring in our entryway. Due to problems on our part, he had to unexpectedly start in our master bath, which involved a stall shower and everything that went with it. The change was handled without a problem. He helped us make choices when we were not sure which way to go. We changed things throughout the project and Jose never said a word. We talked about the herringbone tile that we wanted in our guest bath, and even though we were never able to find a suitable tile in the right size, Jose worked with us and cut the tile we loved, into the right size. As you can see by the pictures, the herringbone came out great! His attention to detail made the project better then we had imagined. Jose, Randy and Norman were always prompt. Jose's communication was great with us. Whenever a schedule changed, he kept us well informed. All of the guys were very nice, and careful to clean up after themselves at the end of each day. I have worked with many contractors over the years, and Jose is among the best I have ever met. Had my shower retiled in aug. Of 2018 by j c tile.my experience was not a pleasant one . Jose would show up in the afternoon to start work. Sometimes he wouldn't show up so frustrating to deal with him. I had to threatened to seek legal action. In dec, of 2018the grout started to crack . I called him numerous times but he never returned my calls. I finally got hold of someone in his office and he finally returned my call. Norman Casasola and company did a fantastic job on tiling a large wall in our house entrance adjacent to our stairs, with many edges, curves, and intricacies. There was some risk in undertaking this project in a very visible area, but it paid off, thanks to the immaculate work performed by the guys. There is an artistic quality to their work; they pay attention to detail. We asked for butt joints and tiles to be very close together so that it would looks like a solid piece, and they were able to do this perfectly. They were open to change, and provided suggestions to ensure that we were completely satisfied with the final product. For example, there was a gap in the floor created by removing the baseboards that would not be coverable by the depth of the tile, and luckily Norman possessed the expertise to lay down our same flooring wood (we had extra pieces) to fill the space. They were timely, clean, and professional. We will absolutely use them for future projects, and will recommend them without hesitation to any friends and neighbors.
