    Very dry burger
    Chad J.

Stopped in for lunch, had the Works Burger. Burger was dry, bacon was burnt to a black crisp. Overall just a pretty bad burger, would not eat here again. 2 stars because the staff was nice and the tots were decent.

1/4 burger and hand cut fries. Lunch special that included drink.

Stopped in at JC's today and had the lunch special. I got a 1/4 lb burger, hand cut fries and a drink for $10.49. Everything was made fresh and was quite tasty. Did I mention hand cut fries? Fast, friendly service and excellent food describe JC's. Check 'em out!

    Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream.

Stopped in for weekly date night with my husband. We stood at the counter for awhile. There was a female employee at the counter but not in front of so we didn't know she was ready to take our order. The employee cooking spoke up and said, hello, has your order been taking, we responded no. Then the young lady came back to reality from daydreaming and took our order. Our food arrived quickly. We had room for dessert to take home. I sampled two flavors and decided on the strawberry banana. I would return with hopes the young lady cashier is more attentive to customers standing at the counter.

Tater tots fully loaded... not cooked

Great people at the counter! Food takes like uncooked Walmart burgers and tater tots! Didn't ask for refund because great service. But I spent 21 on a burger single medium one patty and half order of tater tots. I spit everything out! Wouldn't buy a homeless a burger here.

    Juarez Burger w/fresh-cut fries.

Top-notch burgers! I chose the Juarez Burger, which comes with avocado, grilled onions, jalapenos, and pepper jack cheese. Also I added lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Very impressed with the food, including the hot & tasty fries. Service was friendly and I liked how they brought the food to your table. One downside...a little pricey, and apparently they raised their prices but didn't update the menu board. It said $7.99 for the burger and $2.19 for a regular drink, but I was charged $8.99 and $2.29 respectively. Wasn't a big deal to me but something to be aware of. Chicken burger
    Business A.

As you can tell I was too hungry and ready to eat instead of taking this picture. A coworker referred this place to me and I love it, the chicken burger is so good and the fries are properly made. I have become infused with it as much as possible, it's talking to me slowly and telling me to come back and stop typing. With that I bid you goodbye

    Patty Melt Burger

I highly recommend the patty melt! Patty melt met all expectations and the grilled jalapeños was a nice touch. From the out side this place seems tiny buts it's nice and open in the inside. The kitchen is open so you can see them make your burger. Great service and burgers came out quick.

Very average overpriced burger in what amounts to a fast food atmosphere. There are better alternatives.

The food is definitely a step above what you'll find at most popular fast-food burger chains. While Hat Creek may not be trying to compete with gourmet burger restaurants, it delivers a quality product in a casual and family-friendly environment. One of Hat Creek's biggest strengths is its outdoor play area. The restaurant clearly caters to families with young children, and the play space gives parents a chance to relax while the kids burn off some energy. It's a feature that sets Hat Creek apart from many other burger restaurants. Overall, I get the sense that management genuinely wants to provide a good customer experience. My advice would be to continue investing in employees because great team members are what ultimately create the experience customers remember. Based on our recent visits, Hat Creek is doing a lot of things right, and we'll continue to stop by when we're in the mood for a good burger and a family-friendly atmosphere.

First, the teen put my combo in as a kid's meal. I asked why she gave me a kid's drink and argued with me that, that is how "the little hat comes." I told her no, it's a full combo and pointed to the wall. She backed out the order and put it back in without cheese. Then she asked if we wanted cheese on our cheese burgers. Told her yes, so she backed out the order again and forgot to take off the mustard on item 2 (despite repeating myself forbthe 3rd time). Fast forward, my chocolate shake has 1 pump of chocolate, is 3/4 full, and has no whip cream. The same teen fixes the cream, and I ask if this was right amount and mix level for a regular. The teen proceeded to argue with me, so I asked for a manager. The manager agreed that the shake was wrong and fixed it. Then comes our burgers, 1 has tomatoes on the burnt bread and a patty so dark it was hard. The other is drenched in mustard. Get the manager again. She calls over the kitchen manager. They take the order again- 1. cheese, lettuce & tomatoes 2. Cheese and lettuce. They do a very nice job on the re-cook, but burger 2 still has tomatoes and not lettuce. Show the kitchen manager the original receipt, and he takes the burger back, removes the tomatoes, and adds lettuce. This takes off 1/3 of the cheese. At this point, I gave up and just ate what was provided. I appreciate the managers trying to make the order right, but some of the staff definitely needs more training.

The menu continues to evolve, which is good. Although this last visit both my husband and I noticed the menu is becoming very similar to Cheesecake Factory. By that I mean, they are adding more pages, more loose menu pages with options and their menu items are going into realms that seem very off brand (raw ahi tuna plates, shwarma salad, bao buns, etc). Lazy Dog has always been associated with a diverse beer selection, a down home (almost) southern like food menu. A more elevated and sophisticated Cracker Barrell if you will. This detour from the 'norm' gave us both pause - could the food actually be good? While my hubby and kids stuck to their regular options (crispy deviled eggs, buffalo chicken bites, kids menu) I chose to try the Chili Crunch Ahi Tuna - sashimi grade seared rare tuna, furikake-seasoned rice, edamame, avocado, marinated cucumbers, pickled ginger, spicy garlic crunch, citrus soy dipping sauce and it was DELICIOUS!!! I enjoyed every bite of my meal and would absolutely order it again. I definitely think Lazy Dog is making a run for being competition to Cheesecake Factory when it comes to their menu. Their desserts however have a LOOOOONG way to go. The Campfire Cookies were awful!! Stale, cooked firm, every bite had so many white chips it was overwhelming, there was barely any chocolate, the drizzle soaked into the stale cookies and was tasteless. I have a hard time saying no to any cookie, but could easily say no to these every time. I will actually look forward to trying Lazy Dog again now that they have other healthier options to choose from.
