So Village Burger Bar, a place I enjoy going to in Watters Creek, but never got around to reviewing it. Love the service here and when the weather is more tolerable, it's great to sit in the patio. Today we had the Blue Cheese Burger and Turkey Panini with sides of truffle fries and sweet potato fries. The Blue Cheese burger was very average today with very little blue cheese. The fries (both varieties) were great and the turkey panini was good as well. Overall, I'll continue to come for the service and atmosphere. read more

Overall, great place! You order at the counter, get a number, and then pick your seating. We ended up here at the suggestion of some friends as it was in between where we both lived. It was the first time we had been to the retail/restaurant area and found the ambiance of the place to be neat and something worth coming back to visit. I started with a Bloody Mary which was delicious. For dinner I went with the Southwest Turkey burger and I wasn't disappointed. The flavor of the turkey was great and it wasn't dry. I typically do without the bun and I found I couldn't stop eating the bun. I'm not sure what ingredients they use, but the flavor of the bun was fresh and it added to the flavor. My husband went with the Blue Cheese Burger and loved his choice as well. We split a combo basket of the shoe string potatoes and sweet potato fries. This place has potential!! We come here often because my son loves it. Plus their hours are the best in Allen- they actually are open late in our town that rolls up at sunset. Big plus. They do have some issues with cleanliness. There are so many complaints about it you would think maybe they would address it? On this particular visit I ordered the veggie burger which is described as a plant based patty- it is a bean burger (it's a decent bean burger). If you describe your meal as plant based, however, loading it with feta cheese makes it not plant based. When I asked about a plant-based cheese option, they do not offer one. You are paying a high price for this burger, which includes feta cheese. This is a big detractor and a bit of a misnomer in terms of calling it plant-based. If you request to have the feta removed, you are still paying for the feta cheese to be on the burger. I recommend they consider offering to add feta for an additional price so that way someone who might be vegetarian can add that on. The combo fry basket, which includes potatoes and sweet potatoes is tasty. I do appreciate the chipotle, ketchup option. My kid got a burger and was super happy. My other two companions said their meals tasted just fine. While this is not my top choice, we will keep coming back here because my son chooses it. And of course, if I'm hungry after hours, then definitely, I can rely on this place to provide me a decent meal when every place else is closed. And for that, I am utterly grateful. read more

Of all the burgers places these days my thought is you have to have great food or be unique in someway. Well I think this place has a great idea of good food and good price burgers, great location, has a good menu of sides, good options for sharables, good combination of offerings to the burger. Drinks, beers, inside or outside seating. Really reasonable prices on the burgers., which in my opinion most burger joint are now approaching a $20 burger. This place has a $10 burger, which is nice. The burgers are priced with no sides included but still nice. The turkey burger has excellent flavor, sweet potato fries seriously tasty, with thin crispy outside with soft tasty inside.
