Maybe more spice, or more kimchi? Bacon? I couldn't tell what it was that was missing but I've tried many versions of this in Hawaii and it was blander than those. The Kalbi beef wasn't ribs! I was disappointed, it was just like shaved beef. Egg was good. Everything not bad, but in my opinion could have been better. Husband tried the kimchirito, or kimchi burrito. He said it was fine, enjoyed it but won't seek it out again due to the off-the-wall fusion of flavors. He did say it was nice to be able to sit at the bar and have a cold beer while he waited for our take out order. Our child tried an order of gyoza which were great! She also liked the seasoned tater tots that came with her dad's burrito. Might come back to try the actual Kalbi rib plate.

Wife also appreciated a clean ladies room. We dined in a booth with a window that overlooked a swiftly flowing stream that was about fifty feet away down about a twenty foot hill. The cashier always smiled and seemed very happy to see us. There were no TV's and no music was playing. I was able to talk with my wife and have no distractions. That is good. Some things that could be better: some of the beans have a little more crunch texture and it'd be nice if the pickled red onions were pickled longer to the point they're tamer and the flesh has become pink. All in all I still like being able to get somewhat pickled red onions on my food. For a Chipotle alternative (love it or hate it) the place fairs very well.
