Look it's not a game breaking sandwich manufacture, but it does produce higher than average results when it comes to the sandwich game. Recently stop by this location to see if they honored the practice of providing the avocado smash in replacement of cheese (veganized). Some of the franchise owners don't play by the unwritten law of this procedure, but I'm pleased to announce this location follows this honorary practice. This is the highlight on this location. Onto the service aspect of this visit. When I arrived there was no customers, but for obvious reasons you could see they were slammed with a large over the phone or via internet order. They did not hesitate to take my order and jump right into the assembly of my sandwich. I was out the door under 5 minutes. Came in on lunch with a buddy/coworker. The girl behind the counter was very nice and attentive. She took the time to welcome us in, ask us about our day and talk to us while waiting for our hot subs to be made. For awhile I didn't know how often I would return to this store based on previous visits... but she assured us that our experience should be enjoyable each time we visit, and I will be returning because of her hospitality! I went to this location last week with my family on the way home from a little vacation. The girls in there were awesome, pointed out the free cookies for my little ones, made all of our sandwiches at once (we are a family of 5) all while having a great conversation. I had no idea I was getting a crouton sandwich. However, the shitty ass attitude from all the zonked employees was the worst. No one was here when we entered, and get no one can look up to say hello or anything. I get it they're busy making sandwiches for online orders, but that's why a simple, "Hello, we will be right with you" would help! The crew here impressed me and I am PICKY!!!! I'm vegetarian so I wanted my sandwich kept away from allllll meat- also very sensitive to vinegar, so-- new gloves, clean knife, cheese was (thankfully) already sliced and set aside for my sandwich, a piece of paper was underneath it at all times AND staff was VERY kind about it! We went to the location at Big Bear Lake today . There was a very long line that went all the way back to the rest rooms . But we decided to stay . Thought it will move fast . Waited about 45 minuets to order . First , they tell us they only have white bread , then we noticed the bread seemed dry as the woman was slicing it . My husband asked if she could give us a fresher bread . She sad it was soft inside and all the breads are the same way . Then after a very slow process of getting 2 sandwiches made , we paid a pricy $40 . There were no clean tables . All tables were covered with bread crumbs . I cleaned a table for us to sit . The bread was so hard , it was like a crouton sandwich . We all complained about getting cuts in our mouth from the dry bread ! The meats were sliced sooo thin . This place is a HOT MESS. Went in last week and was promptly chastised for not using the app to order ahead of time. I mean..why have a store front? You're not a ghost kitchen. SOMEONE is paying that rent for the store location. Staff was either high, drunk or both. Not interested in any substitutions or requests. If it's on the menu, that's all you get even if you didn't want it. I am leaving this review (from my wife's account) to ultimately help this business. Two weeks ago this location did not have any beef, and so I left. Hey, it's COVID times and supply issues warrant this. Not their fault, I'll come back I told myself. Tonight, me and my wife went back and saw an "out of bread" sign on the door. However we could see customers having sandwiches made. Upon inquiring if they had bread, the staff mentioned that it was a joke. I see this as an active attempt to dissuade customers from entering the store, which is against the business model. This location also only accepts cash, adding to this theory. Two customers entered and were puzzled about the lack of bread. Bread is the foundation of all sandwiches. No bread = no sandwich. Rather than the staff consoling these customers, we told them that it was a joke being played on customers. While ordering my sandwich, I couldn't help but notice a large amount of food debris all over the preparation table. You could see piles of bread, meat, and cheese piled underneath the slicer. I have not seen this amount of food waste at other locations, and had concern about food borne pathogens that could potentially make their way into your food if no cleaning was performed. We waited patiently but we're not asked for an order- we had to ask to make an order, and had rude response from the staff. Out of curiosity, I asked if the site was experiencing supply challenges and again received a rude response. Overall, we did not feel our presence was welcome. My wife enjoyed her veggie sandwich, however my Philly cheesesteak did not taste good. I actually opened up to see if it was cooked, as it just tasted... rancid? Not sure. But it was not a pleasant experience. Maybe escalating these topics to management would be helpful. My hope is that these reviews help upper management provide better training and resources for maintaining quality and customer service at this location in Big Bear. read more

First experience here back in Dec. 2020. I placed an order online for pickup. I arrived at JM's 30 minutes later to find out they're out of bread. They did offer me the option to wait 45mins for a new batch of fresh bread. Today, ordered online again : This time my order was ready on time. If I could leave zero stars I would. Last night my husband and I ordered thru the app for the store in Big Bear. I was very disappointed to say the least. Any other store the customer is made to feel welcomed, not here. I walked in to pick up our order and there were three employees-1) (lady) making sandwiches (1) man cooking meat (1) man putting bacon on the grill. Not once was anyone greeted walking in. The lady had her hair in a ponytail but her hair is long and touching food...which was very disgusting and a huge turn off. When she was finally getting to making our sandwiches she looked pissed. I didn't expect much, a sub chain is a sub chain. The good thing, there is gluten free bread, didn't expect that at all. I ordered Cheesesteak #17 online for pick up, and it was promptly ready in 15 minutes. Ate it right away and it was too dry to my taste, but again, if your expectations are realistic, you don't get disappointed. This place can not handle the weekends. I've ordered by app on 3 separate occasions. 1st time, they were busy, I get it. Waited 15 min. 2nd time, they were busy, is there any point to ordering through the app? Took forever. 3rd time I decided to order and be late by over 20minutes myself so I wouldn't get frustrated.. I waited over 30 minutes after I intentionally arrived 20 minute late from my due time. Told them I was there when I arrived! Only to have a manager finally say Oh, no one brought it to my attention. By the way, we just ran out of avocado". I don't typically complain, but no one will get me to go to this one again. Moral of the story don't order on the app. Faster to get in line. I normally don't like to complain, but today really upset me. I ordered 2 subs online and I customized my toppings. I did a to go order because I just wanted to grab it quickly on my way to work. When i'm finally ready to sit down, and pull out my subs the toppings are completely switched. All of the toppings that were supposed to be on my sub, were on my mom's sub.The bread was completely switched as well. My mom has an allergy to jalepeno and they were on her sub. I didn't take it back because I just don't have the time to do so today. Again, I don't normally like to complain, but I was looking forward to the correct toppings on my sub and that didn't happen today.
