Went to Jersey Mike's for a meeting tonight. Walked in and explained to the man behind the counter that I wanted to meet first and would then order. The gentleman (who I learned was the owner) told us to grab drinks on house while we met. 20 minutes later, he dropped off a large sub and again said was "on the house"... I offered some protest to his kindness but he wouldn't let me pay. I meet at this shop every once in a while because it is half way between some of my northern clients and downtown...Although I've never explained to anyone who works there that I meet there (or why), the owner apparently has noticed me there. it was incredibly refreshing to be noticed (and valued) as a customer. I have eaten here at least once a week over the past couple of months. They have a very friendly staff but inconsistent sandwiches. Depending upon who is waiting on you, you may get a meaty sandwich or mostly lettuce. Whatever management's standard is it needs to be more closely followed. Always the best subs... I went to one in college all the time, but it closed down, so now that I've moved to Dallas, there's one just up the street. Admittedly more expensive than other sub chains, it's so worth it. The Rosemary Parmesan bread was excellent, and the Italian Dressing gives a tart flavor you can't get in other chains. Yesterday o went there for lunch. I got a club Supreme Mikes Way. I actually love a shop that is willing to tell you that there way is the way to eat there food. Mike's was the right way just e right combination of veggies to meat. The vinaigrette and oil were in the correct quantities also. On the subject of service it seemed much like a chain join in that it was hit or miss. The slicer was happy I was there and happy to serve me. But the person putting the sandwich together seemed indifferent to my existence. When it comes down to it I will be coming back to Jersey Mikes. I seem to like it Mike's way read more

Owner - Donte Zachary - is as real as can be. I am not one to call and complain, but after receiving a sandwich that only had 2 pickles and 2 banana peppers (after asking for extra of both on the online order "Special Instructions" section) I felt it was intentional and wanted to just let the store manager know. I was not calling to request another sandwich or get a free sub, just wanted to let them know that it did not go unnoticed. Well Donte apologized and understood and insisted on bringing another sandwich that was made right. He was kind, honest and helpful.
