My friend recommended Jersey Mikes to me since I was craving a good sandwich and no one likes subway anymore so I went here and ordered the chicken chipotle cheesesteak and it was amazingly good and can't believe I've been suffering with subway all this time. They have a grill where they cook their cheesesteak and everything is sliced to order not taken out of plastic bags like subway. Much better quality and reasonably priced as well. I don't understand why everyone says it's overpriced. This is an average price for the quality of food you're getting. read more

Im huge fan of jersey mike's subs I drive a lot for work so I visit many different locations. Today I stopped at this location for a late lunch. I got the #10 which is a tuna sub. The sub came out delicious not to mention the way the sandwich was layered and how neat it was over all. What I'm mostly happy about is customer service at this location. Jake and Melanie were the two sandwich artists to help me out. Their customer service was great, Jake asked how my day was going which is a delight to hear every so often and Melanie seemed nice and made conversation as well. This particular location gets very busy because of the new attractions and growing shopping center. I wouldn't recommend ordering on the app because although it says you can walk right up to the register and not wait in line, the staff doesn't acknowledge you when you walk in and you're stuck standing there with the like of guests staring at you. I love Jersey Mike's but sometimes the place and staff is what kills it or makes it worth the trip. read more

Let me start by saying I have had great experiences at all other Jersey Mike's! Unfortunately I live near one that has a manager (I think she is the manager) with no personality at all. You feel like you are ordering from an automated person. She will never crack a smile and always looks as if she is having a bad day. Ordering and answering her questions is always awkward and you feel rushed. Once the transaction is complete she walks away so fast that by the time you look up to say thank you she is halfway down the counter so you end up shouting it to her. Also do not expect a thank you or any kind of parting gesture from her. This is very disappointing because it definitely keeps my family from going there as often as I know we would otherwise. read more

This is my favorite sandwich place to come To in Downey. Never had a bad experience here, they're always busy and they try to get everyone's Order out as fast as they can. I had a lady in front of me who ordered about 6 full sandwiches and they did their best to hurry with her order cause there was a huge line and they kept updating us "we'll help you soon, thanks for waiting" and I think that's why I really like this place. Just went there this afternoon. It's my favorite place for sandwiches. Usually the food is on the money and so is the service. Unfortunately today, the guy that was taking orders and cutting the meat had his mask below his top lip. I asked him "how that was helping the effort" while his coworkers had their mask on properly. He just stated " it keeps dropping every time I talk". Didn't bother to fix it, just didn't care. He could have adjusted it, but no. It's a sad day when you just don't believe in something you can't see, touch, smell, or hear is real. Every day people are getting sick and dying from this virus. If you don't believe in it, that's your prerogative. But if you're in food service and your employer tells you to wear a mask, maybe you should be considerate of others. read more

This jersey mikes location was one of the best ive ever been to. Tonight was one of the best times and location ive ever been to. First of all, the service was impeccable. The manager who took and sliced my order made me feel so welcomed by greeting me at the door and then also striking up a conversation about my day. I really appreciated this I have never felt so taken care of at another fast food joint before. The next girl was just as lovely her name was Melody A i believe. She was making jokes with me and crafted my and my family's food to the EXACT way we wanted with out attitude unlike subway ( and believe me it was truly a complicated sandwich!) The next girl Melina i believe her name was also was very lovely. She was incredibly nice to my daughter and made her even giggle! The service and food quality of this location was the best I've ever received and I truly believe all of these workers should get a raise because i know times are tough due to COVID-19 and working in the food industry is very difficult with these Karen's running amok! So to end this rant i wanted to say i will DEFINITELY be coming back to this location and i look forward to being helped out again by this amazing staff. THANK YOU SO MUCH ! read more

I went in yesterday to pick up my order online which wasn't ready but that's okay since I got there a little early. I asked the girl if one of my orders was made with wheat bread since I ordered 2 and she said it was made exactly how I asked for it online which wasn't with wheat bread and I said that's okay then. Next thing I know I open up both subs the next day to check which was for who and THEY WERE BOTH MADE THE EXACT SAME!!! When I never ordered them the same! Not coming back to this location. I ordered a sandwich to go and paid. Assuming I would receive my food, the sandwich artist puts my sandwich on the back cabinet as if I don't receive it. A guy comes in from uber eats and gets his sandwich after I paid, and leaves. I get attention of another employee to let her know that I need my sandwich I paid for. I'm like what in the world business does this. So annoying, never coming back to this location. Mind you it wasn't busy. read more

First time visiting this location and we were pleasantly surprised. We told the employee that we didn't know what to order and asked her if there were any sandwiches that she would recommend. The hubby went with the Chipotle Cheese Steak and I got the Big Kahuna with chipotle mayo per her recommendation and we loved it! This location is my favorite! For the past year now I've had a little bit of an obsession with jersey mikes (Eating it at least once a week). And of all the locations I've been to I love this one. Every time I walk in I'm greeted right away, by pretty much every employee in there. Came here today for the first time & it was delicious!!! I got the Italian "mikes way" but no onion & I added banana peppers! The vinegar, oil & seasonings they put made my sandwich extra yummy & tasty! Mike's way is the only way to eat a Jersey Mike's Sub. This has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat lunch in Downey. The only reason I give 4 stars, is because it gets pretty busy during lunch and sometimes there just aren't enough tables and chairs to go around. I hope they add a counter space or something. But otherwise the service is fast, and they get everyone in and out in a timely manner. read more

I love this place, the subs are really good. Yes it's a bit more expensive then other sub sandwich place but it taste better and I love there rewards points s system. I have used my points at least 3 times already. The subs are simple but the ingredients are what make the sandwich and subs. This place reminds me of the mom and pop delis stores my father used to take me when I was a kid. The meat is freshly sliced with multiple tasting deli meats. Great subs. read more

I just went into buy a sub with my family and was greeted with an eye roll . Then we waited in line only to be told there was no more bread of any kind. We were told it was going to take 30-45 minutes for the bread to be made. I then realized if it was a coincidence or not this location closes within the 45 minutes.
