This the second (and last) time I will place an order online with a prescheduled pick up. Both times I placed my order with a pick up time of 12:10 PM. Both times I arrived at 12:10 and I got my order at 12:30. I would have been better off just going through the line. My favorite sub place especially compared to what you get from other popular sub chains. The sandwiches are large and they stuff it full of whatever you want. I moved here from the Cincinnati area about 8 yrs ago and I mourned the loss of my favorite subs... when this opened down the street from us last year, I literally jumped up and down :) They have the freshest meats and cheese, all sliced fresh for each sandwich, the bread is fantastic and I would say the standout items are the Tuna Salad, their roast beef is amazing, and if you like hot sandwiches try the Big Kahuna! For Jersey Mike's, I'm definitely a little disappointed. Showed up during a Saturday lunch rush and ok, the line was to the door. Ok, I get the wait time and told myself it was worth the wait. However they were out of Nacho Cheese Doritos (at lunch on Saturday) and when I asked if they had more, they acted like I was crazy and acted as if I was a big inconvenience to ask them to check for more. Gluten-free Udi's bread! Can't tell you how happy I was to see this come to our Jersey Mike's. Prepared in a separate area on a contamination free tray, my JM sub was delicious. I am now able to eat at a tasty sandwich place with my family. JM's was always a family favorite. The BLT bacon is meaty and crispy. Great subs! Meh on the hot sub--had chicken parm, wasn't thrilled with the sauce. But their cold subs are wonderful! Esp if you have it "Mike's Way" which is lettuce, onions, etc same as on a burger type deal. I usually skip those and just get the red wine vinaigrette and olive oil spice blend--doesn't look so great when they drown the sub in it so I was super skeptical about eating, but it's flipping fantastic. Best sub around, even if it does get the bun a little soggy. Also the cashier guy recognized me coming back a few times in a couple of weeks and mentioned they have a store points card, I guess like Walgreens where you earn points and "get free junk" for buying from them. I got tired of eating the same old microwaved/toasted subs at Subway so I decided to give Jersey Mike's a try. And I won the food lottery apparently because I am now addicted to their Buffalo Chicken wraps! They prepare the chicken on a flat grill, slather it in delicious buffalo sauce, place it in your choice of wheat or white wrap with lettuce and blue cheese dressing like a burrito. Heaven. Be sure to ask them to not cut it in half because it gets rather messy. I've tried their Cheesesteak and Original Italian subs as well and they were tasty fresh and satisfying. Eh, I just can't say this is a beautiful unique snowflake in a market with a lot of competition. I went in around 6pm and it was a bit dirty as multiple tables weren't cleaned with no one there and plenty of employees working. This was my first time at a Jersey Mikes as an owner of another location highly encouraged a visit. It took me a few minutes to decide and my questions weren't answered with much help though they were nice, I received answers like, "yeah", "it's good". I ended up getting the #56 The Big Kahuna, it's a Philly with mushrooms and jalapeños, but the jalapeños came across as sweet opposed to the spice I was looking forward to. I did get the giant size and I have to admit that was impressively large. Overall it was good, but not good enough. I know other places that offer a Philly that I would go to before this. NOTE: they do really seem to specialize in cold cut sandwiches if that's your thing. read more

I've never been to a Jersey Mike's before this evening, and I will never go again. Everything was moderately clean and the staff was casually coherent. My family ordered 1 mini turkey sandwich, 1 regular chicken philly sandwich and a giant Philly cheesesteak. The cashier rang up all 3 sandwiches and a bag of chips/drinks. We paid and waited for our food. Food came in a normal amount of time, everything tasted just fine. I was halfway done with my giant philly when the cashier came over and awkwardly stated that he accidentally undercharged us for the giant philly and wanted us to come pay during the middle of our meal. Say what?! I've worked/managed in food for ten years and I cannot ever recall a time when I made a mistake on a customers bill and then proceeded to ask them to pay for the food once the bill had already been settled. Food cost is so small in the sandwich world, so to go bother a family while their eating to ask for further payment for YOUR mistake is a truly horrible customer service move. I proceeded to wrap up the other half of my sandwich and return it to the manager. Now Jersey Mike's won't feel bad about underchanging for the full sandwich. I guess my suggestion to future Mike's customers would be to check your receipt twice and eat better sandwiches elsewhere. Get it together Jersey Mike's. read more

Excellent sandwich shop that totally puts Subway and Quizno's to shame. This sub shop slices all your meats and cheeses fresh for each sandwich right in front of you with a deli slicer. The ingredients are all super fresh. While the don't have the most exotic selection of meats, cheeses, breads, or sauces I think they have the right idea of perfecting the classic deli submarine sandwich. I like my sandwiches "Mike's way" with all the usual toppings and oil/vinegar on top. Be sure to try the sweet/hot pepper chutney on you sandwich sometime. Mmmm. I've been coming to this Jersey Mike's for years. It used to be a monthly meal for myself and my grandma (we used to LOVE Subconscious before the closed down). The Philly Cheesesteak (#17) is fantastic! I actually just left this location off 2499/1171 (I'm all fat and happy now) and I just had to get on here to leave a review. My husband and I judge a place on customer service. If it's good, we rave; if it's bad, we don't return. Aside from the amount of years that I have been a Jersey Mike's customer, this particular location always has phenomenal customer service. Today I went to order two regular #17s but one guy recommended I make it a Giant to save a couple of bucks (which I did), then as I move down the line there was another guy (the grill master) bouncing up and down and clearly enjoying himself at work, there was a girl putting toppings on the cold subs and was doing a great job, and then there was a guy cutting the subs and wrapping them in paper, and lastly there was a guy ringing up. I skipped over the girl and the guy wrapping the sandwiches because I ordered a hot sub, but when I went to pay the guy ringing up was extremely personable. I asked for a side of chipotle mayonnaise and he offered an additional side of tobasco hot sauce to kick up the flavor, then after I had turned down the meal option (chips and drink) he offered me a free beverage while I waited for my sub that they made fresh. I have never had a bad experience here, but today I felt the need to rave about the amazing quality and service. I live about ten-fifteen minutes away and my sandwich was still warm when I got home to eat it! I love this place and will forever be a customer! read more

I like subs, sometimes more than others. When its raining outside and after the gym when I dont feel like going all out and cooking up a meal. I started trying Jeresy mikes up the street from us , they have about 14 choices as well as soups, and hot subs as well. The choices of what they put on it are slim but thats kinda the catch and key point of this place, it you want it mikes way, you add mayo, lettece tomato , and dry and wet seasoning. You can add things like peppers etc. They do smalls, med and Giants, I got a med last night but I could have put a Giant down. The breads are fresh and come in white and wheat and the meat that they cut right there in front of you just tastes much freasher than other other sub shops. The price is about what you would spend elsewhere but even if its a tad higher I wouldnt mind paying for freashness would you? read more

Although I am from New Jersey, I have never had a chance to eat at Jersey Mike's as it is a chain located primarily in South Jersey (I live in North Jersey). I was curious to see if they made a "real" Jersey Sub. I ordered the Classic Italian done Mike Style with sweet peppers. I had the mini and it was a good size sub. The meat was sliced fresh (something very special in a chain restaurant), the roll was delicious. MUCH better than Subway and other chains. Have I had better subs? Yes, at Sub King in Newark. But that's a single store in a very bad neighborhood with horrendous parking. This was unexpectedly good for a chain. Very sweet employees, too. read more

I may give this restaurant 2.5 stars. I ordered the tuna and it was good, the price for 6 inches sub is 7.25 and I think the foot long around $12 which is so high specially with the limited toppings. They use the same knife for all orders so I asked him to not cut mine, also they use the same cutting board, it should have different one for people don't eat meat, also the servers never changed their gloves and used the same for all orders that's a good reason for me to not come back, I prefer subway over this one for my tuna, it's cleaner and has a separate cutting area. read more

Today I give you a D- for food & customer service. At 3:30 you were out of all but wheat bread. One person started making my sandwich, the cashier said he would finish. Waited for him to wash his hands (thank goodness) and then watched him dry them off on his apron. Doesn't seem too sanitary to me. Sandwich wasn't prepared nearly as well as the usual standards I expect from JM. Tried to get a refill of tea, it was empty. Tried to tell employees, they were too busy talking to each other. Music was LOUD. I eat here several times per month, today was worst experience yet. Will probably choose another location from now on. read more

I am originally from South Jersey and I have been living in this area for 2 years. There are no "Jersey Mike's" stores in South Jersey (ironically) because Wawa is KING in South Jersey... so I had never heard of this place before I moved here... but I digress.... Since I know what a hoagie (better known as a sub to the rest of the country) is supposed to taste like, I was a bit skeptical with this place being a chain. I have tasted many imitations but I was pleasantly surprised at how close this hoagie was to the real thing! The italian roll was so close to an Amoroso roll. I got a turkey and provolone with oil and vinegar, salt, pep, and oregano. It is the next best thing to flying home for a genuine Primo Hoagie. I was so impressed that I was confident with trying their cheese steak a few days later. Anyone who knows a REAL cheese steak knows how hard it is to find a real cheese steak outside of the Philly/South Jersey area. "Jersey Mike's" got the cheese steak right! Again, not exactly an Amoroso roll but otherwise it was as close to a cheese steak as you will find in this area. I give this place four stars; shy of five because I am somewhat of a hoagie and cheese steak snob. read more

I love Jersey Mike's! I have had many of the sandwiches on the menu and all have been great! I often have a hard time deciding what to order. Even my very picky three year old likes it and eats all of her own sandwich (she never eats)! My family probably eats there once a week and it's always good. Service is always prompt and friendly and the food is always fresh, no reason to eat at any other sub shop. read more

Management needs to teach staff some basic customer service skills. There were 4 employees just standing near the register, no one thought to see if maybe I wanted a drink while I was waiting . No biggie. The thing that made me write this review was because when it was time for me to pay, all 4 of them couldn't even ring me up. One is asking to see if he's clocked out, the other guy actually tries to check before just ringing me up?! This causes the computer to lockup, so he shouts to his manager. Literally just yells her name, when she comes to unlock the pos he starts talking about his drawer being off. Seriously dude, I'm the only person in the restaurant, just cash me out and ask about that afterwards. Finally a voice of logic comes when the manager says just ring him up first. I really don't even think the guy knew how rude and unprofessional he was being. All in all it wasn't a big deal, but things like this really upset me, I've worked in the service industry for over ten years and it's sad to see such poor service especially when they don't even know they at giving bad service. Jersey Mike's is hands down my favorite sandwich shop in DFW. I started going to the Greenville (and later Irving) location over 10 years ago. Those locations easily get 5/5 stars. This location, however, is the closest to my house and it is comparatively bad. I usually drive out of my way to come here, passing many other sub shops on the way. There is always a bottleneck at the person doing toppings (ever since they opened). I don't understand why they cannot get a competent employee to do this (see Irving who does it efficiently). Furthermore, if you order anything but Mike's Way the person will get confused. This is not an isolated incident but a regular occurrence. The straw the broke the camel's back for me, which led to this review, was not only a bungling at the topping station but when I got home I found the amount of meat on the sandwich to be laughable. I wish I would have noticed at the store so I could have gotten it corrected. Regular subs get three slices of provolone. I had a #6 and the amount of roast beef was equal to the amount of cheese. I'll give this location another chance to redeem themselves but if this keeps up I'll be going to the Denton Tap or North Tollway location instead. read more
