So many choices when it comes to cold cut sandwiches. From the big box chains (Subway) to the locally owned (Grapevine Subs!) it gets hard to decide where to go when you're in a hurry. For the chain-side options, I've been leaning on Jersey Mike's for sometime now. They slice the meats fresh, in front of you, when building the sandwich. Their toppings are always fresh, and there are some fun, unique things to choose from if you're adventurous. Bread is yummy, although I wish they had more options. They recently started offering a rosemary bread but I feel like that only pairs well with certain sandwiches. I've been to a few locations around the metroplex and the sites are always clean and staff always friendly. Right now, my go to sandwich is the #2, which is kind of their house sandwich. It's provolone, ham and cappacuolo. It's simple with excellent taste. My wife loves their turkey and provolone. There are kids options that include a cookie and drink with mini sub for $5. Mike's serves Pepsi products so I can get my Mountain Dew fix here, another bonus. read more

My wife just got back and told me that the guy on the slicer was a jerk to her. She said she ordered a 13 Reg, snd he pointed to the board and said nothing. After a few seconds she repeated the same thing, and he pointed to the board again. She waited, and then said, again a 13 reg on white. This ass then said," Now we are ordering right". With as busy as this place is there needs to be some kind of communication behind the counter. Not only with staff but customers as well. No leadership. No coordination here.I somehow got through line and waited 5 min to pay while the child of a cashier just stared at me clueless until I gave him what we ordered. At this point I'm confused so we wait in the lobby. After 5 min and 3 customers that were behind us exit, I then went up to the counter and asked where my order was, the kid told me it would be 5-10 min max sarcastically. I said ok, what name do you have for my order? No answer and a smirk. I provided the kid my name and confirmed my order with him. Twenty minutes later the kid comes up to me saying our order was lost with a big ole smile on his face. How cute. I asked for a refund and he slapped me with a get back in line. Ok. Then I assume the manager at this point figures out what's going on and proceeds to do the refund transaction. This is the most childish waste of thirty minutes I've ever had. I came here on March 13th around 6:45pm. They were pretty busy and it was only two guys working. I didn't get their names but they were working their asses off. They were moving so quickly, making sure that everyone's orders were perfect while still providing great customer service. The food is always great here but on this night I was very impressed. Dropped in yesterday to pick up food for a gathering of friends. The food was fine but the staff was incredibly rude....I felt like I had been punched in the face after the experience. It began with the first guy asking me about bread, etc. He wasn't looking at me....so once I realized he was asking me a question I asked politely for him to repeat himself....whereupon he rolled his eyes. Next guy fixing the actual sandwich was worse....my friend asked me if she should get some cookies for the group. I said I'd pass because I was trying to get back on my diet. The sandwich maker then commented ...."Well I can tell you about your diet!"..... Besides the outrageous rude behavior it's dangerous for a food preparer not to be attentive to what the customer is ordering....food allergies, etc. Bad customer service, won't be returning any time soon read more

First, I went in tonight right before close about 8:50 pm - I could tell by the faces of the employees and where they were in their clean up that I was not a welcome site. I ordered a sub and kids meal. The young lady cleaning the grill threw her hands up and the employees barely spoke to us. I was not asked if I wanted everything on my sandwich it was just put together and handed to me. I did not want tomatoes, I got them. I was not told thank you or anything. I walked out at 9:04. My sandwich was drenched in buffalo sauce and barely able to eat it, it was so wet. I have not visited this store before and I will probably not go back because I was obviously an inconvenience. read more

This is one of my favorite places to get food fast. However, I always have horrible customer service given to me almost every time. For this visit alone, the "open" sign was turned off when I pulled up at 8:20. Second, I walk in and ask to make sure they are still open. They reply "for like 20 more minutes yeah". I then responded "for like 40 right you close at 9?" I then get the reply from the worker "well actually 39 minutes." This comment was very rude and snappy. The workers continued to be rude to me and also had the entire restaurant already shut down with floors wet, which almost made me skip with no wet floor sign. My cashier was named Jacob. I seriously love a good sandwich and this location makes a good sandwich. What I do not love is a manager/owner or whoever the older gentleman giving everyone orders was. I presented the cash's with a $20 electronic gift card to pay for our $26 lunch. Being unsure of how to ring it up, she turned to the bossy man and said "she's using and electronic gift card" his response was simply "I've never heard of an electronic gift card" and offers no other assistance. I paid for my meal and will use my electronic gift card at a different location that assists their employees when needed. I absolutely love Jersey Mike's. I'm from the East Coast and miss all the delis. They are a bit commercialized but still really good as well as the best offering in this area. I get their Italian (#13, I believe) or the Turkey and provolone. Either is great just depends on my mood... You must get it Mike's way, atleast once (Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Oil & Vinegar, Salt & Pepper) they slice their meats and cheeses right there to order. That's a nice touch. They have hot sandwiches too, but I haven't gotten around to them yet. Mmm getting hungry writing this review... guess it's off for lunch. read more

This place rocks! It's hard to sass a sandwich up, but these guys somehow found the secret recipe to do so! It's called Mike's way. I love how they cut the meat right there in front of you that they take out of their deli case. You know it hasn't been handled by other people and sitting in a tray all day. You have to try the buffalo chicken cheese steak sandwich. Holy deliciousness! It was hot and dripping with buffalo sauce. I love Jersey Mike's other locations, but this one can't seem to get it the sandwiches right. I never order anything special, or substitute ingredients, but if I'm not actually watching my sandwiches being made, I have to open the bag and take inventory before I leave. There is always an issue. This week, no bacon on my club sandwich. And this is the fourth or fifth time! Usually I catch the error before the sandwich is wrapped. This time, someone else picked up the order and didn't check. I honestly can't recommend this location unless you enjoy supervising the construction of your sandwich. . read more

Decent food but the tall fat guy that took my order was rude to my girlfriend and I. Just straight disrespectful and terrible at customer service. I would recommend him training for this issue he seems to have. We'll never spend our money at a Jersey Mike's again because of it. First impressions are everything and the behavior he showed totally ruined this place for us. I've never felt the need to download Yelp and write a review but this guys behavior made me think it was totally worth it. UPDATE: I work 60hrs a week and finally got back on here and seen this guys comment and message. I don't really care to give him free advice on how to manage his workers and explain the issues they have at this store with customer service. I think most people wouldn't come back to a place with subpar food and where the guy laughs at your girlfriend and says "if you want it" after she ask for gluten free bread. The guy should probably try some gluten free bread he was very overweight and fat. Also this Chris guy that's harassing me with questions on how to fix his store is ridiculous. Might be a little spendy, but the service is worth every single penny. And they're QUICK. And delicious. Really can't ask for much more. Everything is super fresh. To be specific, I'm from The Bronx New York and let me tell you, it's hard to impress a REAL New Yorker!
