Like a sloppy, expensive subway with fewer options. Fewer breads, fewer toppings, can't toast your sub. They didn't have spinach. I should have read reviews before ordering. Not going to come back. The staff was friendly but the quality was just sad. One guy and one woman seemed to be doing all of the sandwich building/ packing yet there were at least 6 people up front. The two that were building sandwiches were busting ass. Everyone else seemed uncoordinated and fumbling. First off. The tall skinny asian lady was illiterate and had no idea how to make a basic #26 Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich. There was no ranch added, bacon was over cooked and when i specified that i wanted it the "Mikes Way", it should include onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and spices. i asked for no tomatoes and that's it. simple right? No common sense from any single lady behind the counter. they were charging me 4$ for avacado that i never ordered to begin with. when they so called "finished" making my sandwich, there was no onions, mikes vinegar and oil, over did the lettuce to hide how the sandwich actually looked. i opened up the paper they wrapped and immediately asked them politely to add the onions, spices, and both vinegar and oil. lol. it's like they just put a tiny bit of chicken and a shit ton of lettuce, slapped it together and called it a day. negative attitudes across the board, no idea how to make sandwiches. i finished my sandwich that was finally made correctly and needed to use the restroom. i again, asked politely for the bathroom code to the door, and a lady said "oh sorry sir we're not using the bathroom because it's too old. she pointed toward the mall side for the nearest bathroom. this place is trash, please choose another sandwich shop to eat otherwise most people will feel the same way i did. iit's Hawai'i for crying out loud, cmon man. so bad i had to do this review while inside the establishment. As you can see by my past reviews, this location of Jersey Mike's had been struggling to live up to expectations. I'm pleased to say that under Joshua's leadership he has completely turned the restaurant around. The sandwiches are as good as always, and there has been huge improvement in order accuracy and meeting the timeline promised in the online ordering app. Great job and we look forward to having many more delicious sandwiches here! read more

*NOT TOURIST FRIENDLY * I recently had a very disappointing experience at Jersey Mikes in Lahaina. First off, the location is anything but tourist-friendly. Save your money and go to Safeway deli.. But the real issue is the customer service--or lack thereof. The staff were incredibly rude and dismissive. They made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. My order was taken without a single smile or friendly word, and when I had a question about the menu, I was met with impatience and eye rolls. The wait time was excessive despite the shop not being busy, working on on-line orders, and when my sandwich finally arrived, it was wrong. When I pointed out the mistake, I was met with more attitude and no apology. The correction was made begrudgingly, and the sandwich I ended up with was mediocre at best. Overall, the poor customer service and unwelcoming atmosphere makes Jersey Mike's a place I won't be returning to. Avoid this Jersey Mike's in Lahaina Maui (Jersey Mike's Store #44009). I hope the Franchisee and the Franchisor have a heart-to-heart about hiring staff that understand the meaning of customer service. My family was visiting family that live in Maui, and my brother and I decided to pick up some sandwiches to take to the beach. When we entered the store just before 11 am on 6/25/2024, the only people inside were two employees behind the counter. We've been going to Jersey Mike's for years in Southern California and have always found the staff to be respectful and almost always greet you with a welcome upon entering the store. Not only did we get zero greetings, but both staff members carried on a conversation for several minutes and acted as if no one was there despite them seeing us enter the door. My brother and I stood there patiently while they finished their conversation until 'Anthony' (the name he gave me) came to take our order. My brother greeted him with a friendly hello, and he stood there blank-faced, no friendly greeting, and then said, 'Go ahead'. I became instantly agitated and asked him if he had a problem with us being there and that I had never encountered someone so blatantly disrespectful. I asked to speak with the manager, and he said, "I am the manager." I explained that he was in the wrong business as customer service is imperative in dealing with the public, especially in the restaurant business. I also felt it was completely disrespectful not only to the owner of this establishment but also to the many employees of Jersey Mike's who value their jobs and provide great customer service. Needless to say, we did not order a single thing and instead took our business elsewhere. This was not the end of it. Several minutes later, as I was outside the Starbucks waiting for my family to get their coffee, I see 'Anthony' and his female co-worker walking towards me. Anthony gets in my face and starts asking if I took a picture of him from my phone. I said I have no idea what you are talking about as I did not take any picture. I just found this shocking, the only two employees at the store are now outside and the manager is preparing to start throwing blows. I told Anthony, we are on vacation, this is our last day, we came to get sandwiches for the beach and you chased us away. My brother told him he lives there and felt threatened and took his picture because he really felt the owner of this store needs to know he has a violent person working for him. I understand there are people who do not like tourists but the vast percentage of income for Hawaii comes from tourism. Without the tourists many if not most people on the island would be jobless, especially the locals. I don't expect everyone on the island to have the 'Aloha' spirit but I certainly expect those who choose to be in the customer service business too. Mahalo. read more

Starved after a day of snorkeling on Lanai and a gnarly boat ride back, we frantically searched around for food. Friday night after 6:30pm pretty much ensures significant wait times at any worthwhile sit-down restaurant. We had planned on stopping by the local food trucks in this parking lot to check them out but all three (one of the four was closed) ended up being, for the lack of a better expression, not what we wanted. We wandered over into the Jersey Mike's and ordered a Mike's Famous Philly, Big Kahuna Chicken, and a Club Sun. Service was great, efficient, and friendly. The restaurant was clean and a nice environment. The hot sandwiches were super yummy and the Club Sub was pretty good. Long awaited - worth the wait! We are glad to have another sandwich restaurant option and excited to see a new tenant in the cannery mall. Met one of the owners who was greeting everyone in the long line and helping to guide those in line with taking pre-orders or answering questions about the menu. The associates were working very hard behind the counter, ensuring that the sandwiches were made perfectly to order. I was glad to see that there was a mini sandwich option for all the sandwiches. This not only is totally a health hazard contamination nightmare waiting to happen, but some people have food restrictions, are vegan/ vegetarian and may have religious beliefs with cross contamination of meats/ cheeses and veggies!!! I eat at Jersey Mike's all the time when I'm at home. It's my favorite sub shop. So, while in Maui, headed to the beach, we ordered ahead of time to pick up subs for the family. Big mistake. Ordered at 11:30am. Order was supposed to be ready at 11:40am. It's not past 12:20pm, my family has been sitting in the car waiting for the past 40 minutes. I'm sitting in the restaurant still waiting for my order. Meanwhile everyone who came in after me and ordered has received their sandwiches. Not a good experience at this Jersey Mike's. I went in and placed an order at the Lahaina location. 45 minutes before closing they only had white bread. The person making my order didn't seem to know what he was doing. While he gathered the ingredients he kept touching his face with his food prep glove. I mentioned this to him and asked him to change his gloves. Then he turned and spit into the trash can. At that point I didn't feel like I could trust him to make my food and I walked out. I was the only customer and there were several workers. The gentleman who appeared to be the manager was offering coffee to the workers including the one that was supposed to be making my order. As a long time Jersey Mike's fan, I was disturbed by the improper food handling at this store. One of the three gloved employees had a sneezing fit near the dressing bar and appropriately ran into the back room. She came back out blowing and wiping her nose into a napkin. She threw away the napkin and began handling loaves of bread off the rack. I watched in horror hoping my order wouldn't include one of those loaves. She came over the order section and asked me what I would like. Seeing that she never changed her gloves, I decided to pass on ordering anything today and politely excused myself from the line. On the way out, I pulled another employee aside and expressed my disappointment. All she said was Ok. She may have been a junior employee and inexperienced in customer relations by the way she just stood there with a "deer in the headlights" look.
