I have only been to this place twice. The first time it was okay. The staff was nice but the price is crazy. The second time, My husband stopped and picked up some food for us and still pricey. The reason I'm giving it one star is because of the staff and how the were acting. My husband said a couple of the staff were not working and just messing around with one another. Food fine. Manager decided maximum customers inside is 6. After I went in manager said anyone picking up orders doesn't count towards the 6. She must me a scientist too. She was very forward and told me to leave until later. I had a called in order for 6 people, but she would not let me in. Said I was not allowed in cause of Covid. Others were able to walk right in and pick up orders. I followed rules and was kicked out. I was picking up 3 orders for friends so I couldn't just cancel order. Worst manager I've ever dealt with. Having gone to several JMs around the country this one is lower on the list of good ones. Mostly due to the younger less helpful staff. The food is good, the quality is the same but the attention to detail and the interaction of the staff with customers is lacking. They seem overwhelmed with mobile/online orders which seem to interrupt in-person interactions, and several employees spoke loudly amongst themselves about confusion with online orders and who was responsible for working on which parts of the sandwich. They also took a long time to make two simple sandwiches, we stood around and just waited as the sandwich was worked on in starts and stops but never from start to finish. It's not the most inviting place to sit as it's sort of open with tables shoved into a corner. I usually come and get something to-go. So yea, it's fine, and we'll go back since it's close, but the JMs in San Luis Obispo is better overall. read more

This jersey mikes was filthy, the bathroom was covered in dirt, the counters were covered in crumbs, and when my sandwich was made the sandwich maker used the mayonnaise knife to spread all of the fillings, and put it back into the mayonnaise bucket without cleaning the knife. We ordered sandwiches on Saturday-walked in-vs- ordering online. Yes, we did have to wait longer than usual but there were only 2 staff members working at that time. They were working so hard and efficiently to get the orders out for those in line and coming in on-line. A big shout out to their efforts. As the line started to grow, everyone patiently waited with no grumbling. AND if you weren't wearing a mask, you were asked nicely to put one on and no one complained. A third team member arrived soon after and they were able to speed things up. I give them a 5 star, for effort, efficiency and accuracy of order during a crazy time! Ordered 6 separate sandwiches online, but when we went to pick them up, was told they consolidated the wrapping that resulted in 3, which was huge inconvenience as each sandwich was intended for different people. 3 out of the 6 sandwiches were made incorrectly, missing key ingredients and mayonnaise was not omitted. Although we appreciate that the store called us ahead to confirm that the bread was ok for our specified egg allergy, the website does not state that allergen for the sandwich bread. Ordered sandwiches with a promise that they would be done in 20 minutes. Came in 22 minutes later and the line was out the door. We were so thankful we had ordered online. We asked the woman working the register if we could grab our food and she informed us they they had not even started on our sandwiches yet. After expressing dissatisfaction, the explained that they were short staffed and that the manager did not want to come in and help out. She informed us that our food would be ready in "a while" and that there were several online orders ahead of ours. She offered us fountain drinks and we took at table. We did eventually get our food, but not before waiting an additional 25 minutes or so. If management can't be bothered to staff appropriately, I don't think I can be bothered to go back. read more

First off, I LOVE Jersey Mike's Subs. This review / write up is in regards to this specific location. My wife and I were traveling from the Central Coast of California to our home in the Central Valley of California. Paso Robles is literally through this vast thoroughfare to both locations. Off the HIGHWAY, where I am guessing you should receive a lot of "out of town" traffic is this particular Jersey Mike's. Like I said, We LOVE Jersey Mike's, at home... why wouldn't we love it here. Same company same business..... wrong ! This place was a pig sty.... For those that don't understand this adjective (guessing the people that own and work here don't get it) ... it was disgusting. Tables weren't wiped down, trash and food on the floor, the drink area where the "clean" soda lids and napkins are kept was gross as well. Now the bathroom, go ahead and puke now, because it was absolutely nasty, and be that this is a usually a stop a guest would make on a 2-3 hour drive home, not to mention during Covid, you have to do better. What I thought was hilarious, there was a sign next to the front entrance: something to the affect of "All guests must wear a mask even if fully vaccinated." What the hell .... You have a filthy restaurant, telling unmasked patrons that they must wear a mask to enter ? I watched for a few minutes of the young lady behind the counter tell another family to please put on a mask, if not they had some at the counter, that entire family turned around and walked out, which is exactly what we did as well. Losing out on a holiday weekend (Veterans Day) which is a huge travel day in California, all of the money because you can't even follow the CDC recommended business guidelines, let alone the environment that was a complete disaster was just disappointing. We will continue to support Jersey Mike's in our hometown. They are run proper and clean as a whistle. I don't write too many "reviews" but this was just too disgusting not to write up. I also like to give credit, where credit is due. But, the owner of this place needs to either overhaul his/her employees and management or just close because you don't know how to properly run a business during these Covid times when people want to be with their families or stop for a quick and usually tasty sandwich and bathroom break on a trip through your town. The amount of money lost if I was the owner ... I would be livid. But, do yourselves a favor, and spare yourselves the trip and find another stop in Paso. I am 62-year-old women, who is in a very high executive position with the largest Bio-technology company in the word. For the last 35 years in my career, I have never been treated this poorly by anyone. I had the worse customer service experiment with the Jersy Mike Sub store at 2301 Theatre Drive, Suite 100 Paso Robles, CA 9344. A side from inadequate compliance with food safety and handling, individuals who were getting orders and making sandwiches appeared very angary and would not talk to me. I reached out to the counter and asked a very anger young teen if I could order a few sandwiches. I did not get any answer or acknowledgement. Once the order was taken, I noted that his cloves were super wet, and it did look as he was sweating heavily. He constantly threw the sliced meat on the bread and looked around for help. While touching everything, including the cash register with gloved hand, and then returning to the sandwich preparation. Make the explanation sort, I passed by the manager who was at her computer in the customer dining area, working, with large amount of paperwork on the dining table. I indicated "I do not know what is wrong with the staff". She responded, without allowing me to explain: * There is nothing wrong with them and it is my assumption. * They have not done anything wrong; she is looking at them. * She kept saying the "Perception is not Reality". After a few minutes, she asked me to leave the store!! and rudely directed the staff not to serve me! She then very aggressively pulled the bottled water from my hands and said, "I do not want to deal with this, just leave". unbelievable!!! read more

Came in for lunch on a Tuesday. The line behind us is to the door! The subs are sold as reg. med. or giant. This does nothing to help one decide what size is best for them. Another customer opined that getting a giant and splitting it or a reg. would be good. It would be nice to have a visual guide though. It is cool to watch them slice your meat and cheese in front of you rather than pull it out of a cooler attached to soggy wax paper. For those that care, this place has Pepsi Products on tap. (The Mr. is a huge fan of Pepsi.) We got a giant #9 Club Supreme to share. This sub cost $13.95 and was only a few inches longer than a footlong. We added chips and a drink for $2.97. They forgot our bacon, the mister mentioned it and they brought a reg. order. We thought that 2 strips was a little small for the giant. The cashier heard and they sent us 3 more. The lady that brought it apologized and said she should have asked what size we had. Everyone was very nice and professional about it. No customer service complaints here. The sub itself was pretty tasty. But I dunno if it's worth $13. And I don't know if a reg. would handle our hunger. We will probably try this place again. read more

My brother and I went in tonight to get some sandwiches, went to pay and our card wouldn't work! My brother had just had money direct deposited in to his account, so it's not like we didn't have any money. At first, the manager thought it was the system, so she restarted it. Still wouldn't work. Went in on a Friday evening at 6:00. Right at dinner time. Same time of day this has happened to me before. They are out of white bread, for the 3rd time. In addition, the customer next to me had the same thing happen to him, twice. When I told the guy working there that this was the 3rd time, his response was to shrug his shoulders. In my opinion, be proactive, you know it's going to be ordered, so be prepared. Make sure you have everything that will be needed. Don't tell me, you can wait 20-30 minutes, make sure it's done already. That type of incompetence amazes me, just realize what the customers want and be ahead of the need. Simple solution. This location is ALWAYS out of something and is incredibly inconsistent on quality. Charging $10+ a sandwich and then having every sandwich cut wonky with toppings not equally distributed and often shorted is getting old. A five year old can make sandwiches more consistently. Ive ordered a more expensive sandwich, and had them have to substitute a lower priced sandwich because out of ingredient - and yet the did not adjust the price. This location is always consistently slow, despite when I go in there never really being a long line like other locations in the area. I routinely order via the application and drive over when it's to-be-ready and had to wait 20 minutes or more. Today's visit they called me after the promised time to let me know they were - yet again - out of bread, with only one option to choose from. I mean WTF, how does a sandwich shop not know how to order and have enough bread prepared on a daily basis is beyond me. This location is almost always out of Roast Beef and claims "National shortage", but I can go to the chain sandwich shop across town and have every ingredient available. The management at this location nor corporate doesn't seem to care and doesn't follow up on complaints. They may respond to reviews here, but they never seem to take action to fix their problems. My advice - don't go this location. Every sandwich shop in Paso Robles has better quality and consistency than this Jersey Mike's location. If they weren't the only sandwich shop on this side of town, I would have cancelled my order. read more

So after reading a few reviews there is a consistent problem. Not good training for employees and not good management of the premises. I came in for a pick up order, checked the counter for done orders and mine wasn't ready or at least it wasn't there... No one greeted or asked if I was waiting for a specific order, she asked two other people and pretty much ignored the big pregnant lady waiting, me. After seeing 4-5 customers order and get their food within 20 minutes, I finally went up and asked if they were working on my order. Turns out the order was partially done, it was just sitting behind the counter and needed the sides added. They were busy... and working hard, but waiting 20 minutes to not be acknowledged- and sweating under my dumb ass mask because there's no AC (probably a food health hazard) I'm only giving 2 stars. Help your employees and fix your AC. Not sure were going back. I also saw that you were out of bottles water and didn't tell the customers who picked up- they came back in and without apologies they said we're out... and he had to do fountain drinks for the kids. Just not very professional. This business needs a manager or owner who cares more. Food was good. I had never had a Jersey Mike's sub and kept hearing how great they were. Since I don't care for subway I figured why not. My daughter and I were third in line. I watched ONE employee take the order and then start by getting the bread, cut it and slice the meat. While two other employees just stand there with nothing to do until the base of the sandwich was made. SUCH a stupid way to make sandwiches. It was finally our turn. I asked a couple of questions, since I had never been there and the girl made me feel so stupid. At that point I wanted to walk out so bad. We ordered a mini, 1 regular and 1 large. It took forever to get our food. I don't understand how people think this place is good. They only make one sandwich at a time. The girl slicing the meat had a sweater on and the sleeve was dragging on the machine, she had all her jewelry on..(bracelets, rings, noise ring, necklaces) her hair was in a ponytail that as NOT in a hair net so the bread behind her could have had hair on it. Was standing in line and a little boy tried to tell the lady behind the counter that his sandwich was wrong instead of her making it right she started belittling him and yelled at him. His mother walked in the poor boy looked like he was going to cry. As far as the chain's food goes it is tasty. However, the facility is not kept clean by the employees. You walk in and facility is covered in old food detritus and bits of garbage. The employees also are not practicing good food safety. The girl who made my sandwich went from wiping equipment down with a dirty rag to handling the ingredients of my sandwich without washing her hands or putting on gloves. I had to ask her to wash her hands first and wear gloves which she only did reluctantly and sullenly. The restaurant needs better oversight of it's employees. This current batch of teens working there have me fearful of getting sick so I won't be returning until they rotate out and the hygiene of the place improves. read more

I called in an order that was taken by a very pleasant employee. When I arrived my sandwich wasn't ready yet and a nice young lady apologized and said she would have it done right away. No problem. Another lady asked if I'd like something to drink while I waited. It only took a couple of minutes for my order to be completed and when I pulled out my wallet to pay, I was told that it would be no charge as they should have had my order ready when I arrived! Thought I would try this Jersey Mike's again. We had family over again and came here for 7 sub sandwiches. I have always liked their subs. We were not able to order online in advance and found out their system was down. We arrived and ordered our 7 sandwiches and was pleased how fast they were made. The manager told us she just recently took over management of this Jersey Mike's. We were so pleased with our sandwiches and especially the service. The sandwiches were generous with toppings. I recommend this Jersey Mike's. I had my favorite Philly Steak, my husband had the portabella mushroom and provolone. Everyone loved their sandwiches. I will try the tuna next time.
