Not the fault of staff, it was assembled correctly enough. the veggies and sauce were fine, but the "grilled chicken" could not even be described as actual meat. While I typically frequent the Rochester location, the Portsmouth one is just a few minutes from my workplace and I was in the mood for a sandwich the other day, so I ordered from this location for the first time. I placed my order online for pickup a few hours later. My sandwich was ready as soon as I walked in and I was greeted almost immediately despite them being super busy at the time. The chipotle chicken cheesesteak I ordered was delicious and the bread was especially fresh. I'm not crazy about the parking, but that's more because it's a small lot for multiple businesses and I was there during a busy lunch time. Great , fun new addition to Portsmouth Their sub rolls are delicious and going thru the line is fun:watch Danny Devitos add on TV which is spot on! The staff is what makes it great ! The first person you meet asks what type of sub you'd like, then cuts it or passes it to the grill master. The second team member asks if you want it Mikes Way. Which is with tomato lettuce and the juice which is a oil and vinegar with spices! Fantastic! Love the place! read more

Rude, manager was less then accommodating during our visit. Entered the store to pickup an order I thought that I had placed on line. Was greeted by an associate that asked my name and after searching said it was not ready yet. Waited quite a while and observed several walk in customers come and go. The manager looked over and asked my name and after searching said she could not find my order. I attempted 2 more times to complete my order with no success on the 4th try it completed after some less than kind words from the manager that were spoken loud enough for other visitors to hear. I picked up (5) subs at Mike's. The steak sub was disappointing. I understand that it wasn't shaved ribeye or tenderloin but the meat had quite a bit of sinew. In fact most bites were overly chewy. The other subs were good but not the steak. FYI - The service was excellent. read more

I have been a avid fan of Jersey Mikes for years now since they first made their way to New England. I was super excited when this location opened recently. So I had to visit and get a sub. Since their recent opening, I've been here twice now. My first trip, I ordered ahead on the app. I arrived at the estimated time my subs would be ready. The lines were insane. Both a massive line for in store ordering as well as a line for pick up. It was at the lunch rush, right around 12:20 pm. I waited in the pick up line for 20 additional minutes until my order was finally ready. Todays visit, I again app ordered, but at 10:20 am instead. This time I beat any rush. Only 1 other customer inside. My order wasn't ready yet, so I just had to wait 5 minutes. Staff was very friendly. The gentleman working gave me a complimentary large fountain drink for having to wait. The subs at Jersey Mikes are by far the best around. They blow any other sub chain / shop out of the water. 10/10 for flavor, freshness, and overall experience. This location holds up to the Jersey Mikes standards that I have loved and expect when visiting. Right now, October 2022, since it just opened its VERY popular and busy. But it's well worth the wait! I was introduced to their subs a few weeks ago when someone brought me a steak and cheese. Mouth watering experience, to say the least. Then, I was brought an Italian. It's like no other Italian I've ever had. In all honesty, I'm a sub snob. It takes a lot to impress me. I loved both subs so much that when my husband suggested eating there when we were in the area shopping, my brain was stuck deciding which sub to get as he offered other suggestions of places to eat. I didn't hear the other places at all. Jersey Mike's Subs "had me at hello". We opted to download their app to have the ability to order in advance and gain points. Well, I couldn't decide which sub so we bought a large one of each and shared one for lunch while there and then shared the other that afternoon and the next day. They're very huge subs, but perfectly portioned with meats! Not too much and not too little. Very easy process of ordering on the app and the pick up. I highly recommend this, because they are extremely busy. People were constantly coming in. Obviously, it's a great addition to the area. It's clean and the staff was nice. We could see everyone was working very hard and keeping up with the high demand. I wish I had a picture to share, but by the time I thought of it, I had already eaten most of my steak and cheese. I'm afraid to try another sub, because then I'll really be in a quagmire with trying to decide which sub to order next time!
