I have mixed feelings about this one, the sandwiches are really good, but I'm not convinced they are worth the price. The people that work here are, for the most part, very very nice and helpful. We had one that was really clueless, but otherwise, everyone knows what they are talking about and are super nice. They make good sandwiches, everything we have had we have liked, but it is expensive for what it is. I honestly think the sandwiches at the commissary are better than here (I swear they put crack in those sandwiches they are so good), so this is definitely nothing to go out of your way for, but if you're looking for a sandwich and are in this area, it's a solid choice for a decent sandwich. Holy hoagie, Batman! Jersey Mike's is my number one go-to for awesome subs and cheese steaks. I ordered the #17, expecting the traditional Philly-style steak and cheese one usually gets at mostly every place in town who serves one. Man, was I pleasantly surprised! The amount of top quality meat and gooey cheese going into this masterpiece was outrageous! I literally began drooling like Pavlov's dog, smelling the delicious aroma of steak sizzling on the grill. Carnivores will appreciate the well seasoned melt in your mouth tenderness of the steak from the first bite. They say the simple things in life are free. This simple yet extremely delicious sub may not be free, but you most certainly get more than your money's worth and more at Jersey Mike's. We really like Jersey Mikes! Our first experience was at Dulles Airport in Washington, DC - Jersey Mike's was the closest food offering, and although the line was long, we took that as a good sign and gave them a shot. My hubby had their Philly cheesesteak at the airport and really liked it, so we were excited to see them in Silverdale. Stopped in again yesterday for the Philly cheesesteak (#17), and, because I usually skip buns and breads on my foods, I had my chicken Caesar in a bowl. Great food! I think I got an entire boneless, skinless chicken breast sliced in my salad, which was way more than I thought I'd get. My hubby said his sandwich is the closest he can get to a Philly cheesesteak anywhere he's tried to get a Philly cheesesteak locally. The staff is very friendly, fresh food, great offerings. Tonight was the second time ive eaten at Jersey Mike's. The first was great. My husband had a sandwich tonight that he enjoyed. I ordered a number 9 (Mike's way) which was a cold sandwich. I commented about the amount of out this girl put in the sandwich..it looked excessive. When we got home which is a 5 minute drive, I opened the sandwich to an oil slick. The sandwich was un-holdable and inedible. My husband called to get a refund for my sandwich and was told told "they're supposed to be soggy" ,"it's how we do it". If that's the case serve it in a bowl with a straw! She offered no compensation and was flippant. My husband asked for the corporate number but was told she didn't know it. My first experience was sub par. There were three employees on, it took 7-10 minutes to order my sandwich and by order I mean actually talking to the woman making my sandwich. I had to sit there and listen to the conversation that was taking place between all three girls which seemed inappropriate. I get it, we all have conversations throughout our shifts but I know that they would have acted completely different if the owner was in. It was uncomfortable and aggravating. And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be a wet blanket saying that employees shouldn't be able to talk but they would completely stop making the sandwich to respond to each other. There were 5 people in line behind me. There was absolutely no sense of urgency. My husband tipped and immediately regretted it. My second experience was the complete opposite. I came back because I really loved the sandwich and how fresh it tasted. Yesterday afternoon there were two gentlemen working and we were in and out in a flash. Loved the chipotle cheese steak sandwich! The staff are super friendly and helpful. It's not very busy, so you get super fast service. Lots of tables for eating. The atmosphere is comfortable, not too hot/cold. There are two TVs, so one could catch a game while enjoying a sub. There is a coupon in the valpack for buy one get one free sub. I would take advantage of this deal because the subs are really tasty. They don't skimp on the meat, it doesn't look like or taste like processed factory steak and they're 7 inches for a regular sub. I eat at JM's ALOT. For some reason this particular JM's always disappoints me. The staff are either yelling at eachother, cutting the bread so sloppy, and putting the ends of tomatoes on the sandwich unless I specifically asked for them not to be on there. I've been to this location plenty of times since they've opened. I've had positive experiences in the past, even when I've had to wait a solid 15 minutes in line before placing my order. This place gets busy, but the quality of food is worth it. Especially if you're craving a good sandwich! So why the 3 stars? I've witnessed inappropriate behavior and heard inappropriate conversations between staff members who don't seem to mind that their actions are on display for the whole restaurant to see. I was in there a few weeks ago and watched an employee pointedly complain about another employee (who was also present) to someone who I assume was the manager on shift - and they did so loudly... while they were making sandwiches. The conversation they were engaging in wasn't appropriate to have right in front of customers. Tonight though... man tonight was what drove me to right my less than stellar review. I came in around 7:45 while they were doing their nightly cleaning. No other customers were in the restaurant so I was happy about not having to wait. But the way that one employee in particular reacted toward me was as if I was an interruption or an irritant. I automatically felt like I was a burden and questioned coming in so "late" while they were trying to clean (mind you it was around 7:45 at night). There was not one ounce of good customer service elicited from this employee, he rang me up and let me know that there would be 2 questions on the card reader machine I would need to answer before sliding. The first was requesting the amount for a tip I'd like to leave. Nope! After I finished my transaction he just walked away, not even a "Have a good night" or "Thanks for coming in." Just walked away. His counterpart was friendly and at least said some nice parting greeting. I've had good customer service for the most part, and the sandwiches are also good.. but for the price point you pay here, you can find a decent sandwich almost anywhere nowadays. Ordered an Italian sub with the meat grilled so I can actually eat it (I'm pregnant so I can't eat straight deli meat) and the meat was very lightly warmed on the inside but still cold on the outside. I really appreciate the service here. Silverdale lacks in this area to the point of messing up my opinion of some usually good chains like Panera Bread. Jersey Mike's makes really filling subs with a lot of choices hot and cold. My favorite? The Famous Philly. My wife likes the Mini Turkey made Mike's Way. What is Mike's Way, you ask? Man I hate to do this but I am just so confused. This was only my second time at a Jersey Mike's and the first visit at the Trails location. My previous visit at Juanita Village, Kirkland location was no problem. Today's visit at The Trails in Silverdale left me confused and feeling like I just dont want to go back. We ordered- the gentleman with large rimmed glasses was friendly and welcoming. No problem there. Then we were ushered down to the register to pay and left there standing confused about what was next. I asked the young woman in the middle shift where they add lettuce/tomato if I was supposed to ask her for pickles on my sandwich. She then told me "if you want to". Um what? So I said "okay sorry I dont know how this goes" and she told me "it's ok I'm not judging you". Um, again, what?" She then put pickles on my sandwich and looked at me as if "is that it"? I then said "well does it come with the rest of the stuff?" She said "what else do you want?" So I told her I wanted the lettuce and tomato and standard stuff. She literally put lettuce and tomato on it and wrapped it up. No herbs, no onions, no oil/vinegar. I was so confused and felt frustrated that I asked my husband to ask them for the "juice" for my sandwich and a different gentleman, tall/slender, no glasses filled up a sauce cup with oil and vinegar. News flash - they dont mix. So I was stuck trying to swirl it around while pouring on my sandwich to avoid just oil that is sitting on top of the vinegar. I wasnt the only customer this happened to. A gentleman sitting next to us had to walk back up to ask if tomato and lettuce could be put on his sandwich. While I ate my dripping sandwich I read the menu that clearly states all of Mike's cold subs come with lettuce, tomato, onion, herbs, oil and vinegar. So why the heck was it just left off of our sandwiches and not even asked if we wanted anything on it? The crew obviously doesnt care (except guy with glasses) and is incapable of aiding the customer in understanding how to go about ordering a damn sandwich in this place that isnt just meat and cheese on bread. Will not return to this location because of the ineptitude and strange personalities but may try Jersey Mike's again in the future. Hopefully other locations (much like Juanita Village) know how to prompt the customer to ask what they would like. Jeesh. read more

The first time I came to this place it had just opened and they were definitely good by through the "growing pains" of being a newly opened business. I was pretty disappointed with the sandwich I was made that first time. But now we've come back because we believe in second chances and I can say that they have definitely upped their game. Fell in love with this place last summer when a co-worker suggested it. After that, we started going every other week. Always looked forward to it. When I realized I had no plans for dinner, I decided to order for dinner despite always preparing healthy meals at home. Ordered online and got to the place about 5 minutes early. There was nothing on the tables for pick up so I decided to wait before asking for my order. Went to the counter and asked for my order and it wasn't ready. Moved to back of store where they could see me. People were coming in and out with their orders so I asked a 2nd time. Not ready. After 10 more minutes, asked a 3rd time. Not ready. By then it was almost 15 minutes past scheduled time for pick up. So, I went to the counter and asked for my money back. Asked for my name a 4th time, oh, yes, one sandwich is ready. Had to wait a few minutes for the 2nd sandwich. When I got home, both sandwiches were not what was ordered. So, both were thrown out due to that and the fact they were horribly dry and bread was hard as a rock.. We could not even get through the first bite, let alone swallow it Luckily we had frozen pizza in the freezer. I will never ever visit this place again due to poor service and the staff consistently socializing with customers rather than keeping up with the backlog. Is there even a manager on premises? Trust me, if you go there, make sure you open every package to make sure you get what you ordered and if its ready on time. Better yet, save your money. Its not worth a single penny. The food is good & it's convenient because you can place an online order. I never usually have any problems with the staff here but today was the first time I ever came on a weekend around lunch when they were slammed & it seems they have a hard time dealing with pressure. The cashier (the face of the production line) was very sassy. I walked in to pick up my order & instead of first handedly apologizing for my order being a bit delayed & explaining they tried calling but my phone number was no good, she flat out addressed me with "Next time you shouldn't use a fake number because we tried to call you to tell you it wasn't ready yet. You'll need to wait a bit." I don't mind waiting, I didn't complain about it, so why was she making it such an issue like she had a point to prove? I sat at a table and observed that she started rolling her eyes here and there while she put together lined-up customers orders. Then a male employee brought me my order & again I was addressed with "Next time could you use a better phone number?" Really, guys? So I explained to him that it wasn't my account but I had texted the owner of the account of the online order to make sure it doesn't happen again. A flash of remorse crossed his face once he realized they were attacking me for something that wasn't MY fault, then I could see he got angry with my confrontation because his jaw starting locking up/pulsing.
