Ambience- weird seating and it was freezing cold and windy inside (husband and I both had sweatshirts on) bc they had both doors held open. I asked if they could be closed and they didn't seem to understand me when I asked if they could be closed. Food- chicken was dry and cold. We had the siti and the lemon garlic. Stuffing in the siti was bland. 2 stars bc the spicy hummus and pita was pretty good. Service- not to trying to shame anyone but the guy working didn't speak English so when we had questions about the menu couldn't help us. Won't return and wouldn't recommend. read more

Fast, efficient customer service and most importantly GREAT FOOD. The family who owns this business are very friendly people who know how to get down in the kitchen. First time I came here, I tried the Jerusalem ribeye and it was seriously delicious. Second time, I got the lemon and garlic chicken plate which was to die for. Their chicken was cooked perfectly and the rice was out of this world; and their spicy hummus with pita was delicious too! I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for authentic middle eastern food; this won't be my last time coming here! read more

Found Jerusalem Chicken on Instagram. Followed them immediately. A week later we are eating dinner there. Delicious Palestinian food. Rice stuffed chicken. Hummus. Fool (fava bean hummus). Falafel. Tabouleh. It was all terrific. After our meal we talked to Mohammad (sp?) who runs the restaurant. He's Palestinian/Creole. Such a sweet guy to take time to chat and show genuine pleasure that we enjoyed the food so much. We are SO looking forward to future visits! YUM!!! read more

Sooo good! Had the Lemon Garlic Chicken and Original Chicken plates! Soo soo good! Juicy and flavorful! Shared my Garlic Chicken plate with my 2 yo who kept saying it was so yummy! Lemon garlic chicken- moist and flavorful Jerusalem rice- seasoned perfectly Hummus- regular hummus to me, nothing special Pita bread- dry pita bread nothing special Cauliflower fritters- a mix of onions and spices Fried to perfection. Now if you get NOTHING else, try these fritters. I ate them with the hummus and garlic sauce ( asked for this at the counter). Parking sucks. Other than that, it's like a cafeteria where all the food is already cooked and it's an assembly line. Food was REALLLLY delicious. read more

Clean and beautiful casual restaurant with a long table and plenty of chairs. The Food is authentic Palestinian Arab food with the perfect amount of seasoning. I loved the Kobbah, Falafel and baklava and haven't tried their chicken this time but will do next time when am more hungry cuz it looked n smelled so so good. I've eaten here 3 times this week and 1 or 2 other times the week before. My new favorite local place to eat in Baldwin Hills. Its clean and the young brother and sister that run it are very friendly. The brother has a little copper colored afro. He said he is Palestinian and Creole. I know "middle eastern" food okay. I worked at a trendy Lebanese restaurant in college. The food here is fresh, has quite a few vegetable options and its already ready cafeteria style so you just point and have them build your plate. The lemon chicken is wonderful. The skin of the chicken is extremely flavorfull and they give plenty of sauce. I pull my chicken into pieces off the bone and submerge it in the sauce for a few minutes so the flavor goes more through it. The roasted potatoes with onion are yummy. The fried eggplant, fried cauliflower, and falafel are all gluten free. The falafel is the real deal made with green fava beans...savory and fried to to perfection. The collard greens with tomotoes were alright. I had those today. I was going to try the yummy looking sauteed tomatoes but they were out of them today. A black woman ahead of me was upset they were out of them. I thought she was gonna walk out mad, lol. Besides having gluten free stuff on the menu, there are dairy and soy free options. This is great for a person like me avoiding those kind of allergens but still wanting tasty food...especially in the hood. The food here is wholesome and nutritious. The pistachio baklava was delighful, although I cheated my dietary restrictions to eat it. My one little complaint...and its my complaint of many restaurants...they could go a bit lighter on the salt for some of the veggies. Oh, other plusses...the garlic lemon condiment sauce very good and so is the mint lemonade. I think the lemonade is made with fresh lemons. It definitely has fresh mint springs in it. Finally, i like that they adverstise the restaurant as palestinian and play trendy palestinian and egyptian pop music videos in the restaurant. Its a nice touch. read more

Where do I begin? Everything we had (garlic lemon chicken, hummus, salata, rice, falafel) was exquisite. There was no talking at the dinner table tonight. I heard about this place opening up from Instagram. Living in Los Angeles, I always drive to Anaheim for authentic Palestinian food. Today was their soft opening. Immediately upon entering I was greeted by the owner. I decided to order the Emsakhan, which is chicken with sumac and onions. The food was delicious and properly cooked. I'm most likely going to come back tomorrow and try their falafel and Kibbeh. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is craving Middle Eastern food. A++ read more

The smell of authentic Jerusalem spices will hit you the second you open the door of this restaurant. The Tabooon bread is thick and hearty . All the salads are freshly made with quality ingredients. The guys here are super generous with the sauces . Their Tahini sauce is exactly made like you would be eating in the Old City of Jerusalem. NO NO NOOO. Is this place under new management? Because it's total trash now. How they are still in business is beyond me. The last time we came here - about 3 months ago - the food was sub-par. Maybe they were having an off-not. We decided to give it another shot tonight. BIG MISTAKE. We ordered the food 40 minutes ago for pick-up. They said our order was ready. We got to the restaurant - they didn't have one of our dishes, and didn't bother to contact us. We're here now, and the foohl that we ordered wasn't even ready. WTH? So he spent two seconds making the foohl, and you guys, CHECK OUT THE PICTURE of it. It looks like sewage run-off, and it smells rancid. What a waste. Never again. read more

The food is delicious, freshly made. maybe a language barrier added a little confusion in ordering. If you know what you want it's no problem. My first time so I had questions. Everything is so delicious here!! I got the Emsakhan Chicken plate with spicy hummus and cauliflower salad... YUM!!! Omg the chicken was just decadent and the hummus tasted fresh and full of flavor the cauliflower salad was tasty too, not flavors I'm used too but would definitely be getting again :] To top it off I got a Mint lemonade, which was refreshing, and omg I thoroughly enjoyed the pita- it was warm and fluffy!!! Gosh it was so good!!! I will definitely come back because there are so many other plates I can't wait to try lol read more

Jerusalem Chicken is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. My go-to order is the lemon garlic chicken plate with rice, tabbouleh, and hummus and it lasts 2-3 meals. My husband gets the chicken fakir bowl and last time, it was so jam packed that I thought it was going to explode on the car ride home. They feed you well here. They have some rotating sides depending on seasonality. In any case, all of their pickled vegetables are delicious. Don't skip the bread--so soft! read more

Oh my word!! I have been sleeping on this place for far too long! Wow oh wow!!!!! Decided to pop in since my neighbor told me they have the best falafel (and boy was she right.) Cooked to order but came out pretty quickly. I noticed a delicious looking pita sandwich being made and asked the server about it. It was the rib eye pita. The server offered to put together a mixture of sauces which consisted of some of the freshest, tastiest hummus ever along with other yummy ingredients and Ooooohweee!!!!! This is an impressive new restaurant that proudly embraces Palestinian cuisine!! The Emsakhan rice and chicken combo is truly delicious (albeit messy) but most of the sides were pretty boring, particularly the hummus and tabouli. Got the special chicken combo, and for $20+ I was really disappointed. You get a large portion but really most of the chicken is rice, and the flavor is extremely lackluster. The taste really fell flat and the chicken was soggy and dry at the same time. Sides were not notable. This dish could definitely benefit from some seasoning or crisp of some sort on the skin. read more

Our table was lit very brightly, while some of the other tables looked much more dimly lit and intimate. Our server was great, and the sommelier was wonderful as well. We went with wine pairings throughout our meal, starting with a splash of sparkling white wine. HUMMUS DUCK 'NDUJA (tahini, parsley, cilantro, sumac, blistered pita)10/10. This was DELICIOUS. The texture and flavors were everything. SILKY smooth hummus with that fatty, deep flavor from the duck 'nduja. My goodness, I would like to drink it. The warm pita that came with it was pillowy soft and perfect for scooping everything up. Amazing dish. I would order this every single time, hands down. It's really hard to get Palestinian food that is authentic in LA , but even harder to get delicious Palestinian food that taste like it was cooked out of somebody's house kitchen. It reminded me of eating out of the home of different family members when I was a kid. Service was very welcoming. It's a very simple down-to-earth restaurant. I look forward to coming back. The chicken is flavorful and juicy, the Fool is good, the appetizers are yummy like the cheese folds and the the onion and potatoes as well as Hummus.
