Wow! I am super impressed! I ordered a meal deal they are currently offering. Large pizza with one topping, 2 liter, and bread sticks. Total was 33. That's with tip and taxes included. I received my order within like 25 mins. My pizza was hot and fresh! Cheesy with a crispy turbo crust! I was craving a Detroit-style pizza, and happened upon a slew of positive reviews for this place. Let me say, it was WELL-worth the 20 min drive (each direction; completed twice, in two weeks ). I ordered online, and each time, waited no more than five mins once I arrived for pickup. The ingredients and CRUST are LEGIT. Cooked to perfection. Simple. Delicious. First time eating Jet's and i wasnt disapointed. We got Jets bread and the all meat detroit style pizza. The Jets bread was a standard pizza crust covered in seasoning and parmesan cheese cut into sticks. It wasn't amazing but its good. I think if they added more seasoning you couldbt say no. The pizza was by the best ive had in a long time. Thick crust great sauce with what tasted like real mozzarella cheese (not shredded) and great toppings. My only real complaint us twice i bit into a small bone in the sausage. Hopefully thats just an anomaly for me, but if someone was really chewing they could probably damage a tooth. read more

Pizza came before the estimated delivery time. Driver was professional and polite. The pizza was absolutely incredible. I got the large deep dish Detroit with extra sauce. Up from Florida visiting my Navy son. He was at work so I decided to have a pizza delivered. Ordered my standard thin crust, hamburger mushroom pizza. Delivery was speedy and the pizza arrived at the door hot and fresh. Delivery person was polite and friendly. Regarding the pizza: Plenty of toppings but just lacked flavor. Bland. Sauce was bland. It could have used some salt. The burger appeared to be pre-packaged, pre-formed burger pieces and canned mushrooms. Perhaps my "pizza-snob" attitude comes from having been raised with a superb, Italian-owned little pizza shop near our home. Jet's pizza wasn't bad and I would expect that most people would think that it is wonderful (hence the high reviews) - I'm coming at it from having the availability of really fabulous pizza close by. Very good deep dish pizza! It had a nice buttery, crispy crust and they were not stingy with the pepperoni's! We also ordered some mild buffalo wings that were pretty good as well. For our large deep dish (10 slices) and wings it came out to about $25 so not bad at all considering how good it was. read more

I heard some positive things about Jets before coming here. When a place is hyped up, I am ready to be super critical and pick it apart. But I was impressed and pleasantly surprised. I came to the location hoping it was a sit down pizza joint, that of which it was not. I wasn't super disappointed but was impressed with the cleanliness of the waiting area. I've been to some places where I felt a little cramped and the space seemed to be an after thought to management. The cashier was very helpful and had tons of suggestions. I really appreciated the fact that she pointed out the special deals that they have and was surprised that they will apply a coupon/deal to your order if one exists even if you weren't aware of one or asked about it. This fact in itself puts them above some of the other pizza shops in the area. The pizza was awesome!! We got a hand tossed sausage pizza, a small Hawaiian deep dish with the combo sauce for the crust and some wings. Sausage pizza was good, but I was impressed by Jets with the Hawaiian deep dish, I am not a fan of pineapples on my pizza, but this one was great! The wings were okay, they seemed to almost taste better when I had them the next day. I definitely recommend that you stop by and get a flavor explosion in your mouth! Two things happened in the past day that remind me of my past home, snow and Jet's Pizza. Michigan is home to 150 of the 240 Jet's Pizzas. Virginia Beach is the first in the State, thank you, Jet's. This location is a bit far of a drive for me but I just had to see if it was the same as I remember and, dang, it is! The crust has a mild crunch, seasoned with Romano Cheese, there are 8 crust flavor choices. The pepperoni was cooked to a perfect delicate crunch on the edges. The mushrooms were abundant and fresh. The sauce has just the right amount of heat to catch the back of your tongue. I think the hubs favorite part is the cheese. This is a take-out or delivery only location. The places back home have tables and chairs. I spoke with some of the employees and at least 2 of them are here from Michigan. Once this location takes off there are plans to build 4 more, perhaps with seating....Jet's if you are reading this, I am doing my part. Missed you guys, glad you found me. read more

Guess I'll be the first grinch on this new place but after recently trying Jet's pizza, I can't say anything but meh to our experience. One of our sons had a sleep over and his guest is a vegetarian so we ordered a large round hand tossed cheese pizza, a small deep dish black olive pizza, and some triple cheese bread sticks. The bread sticks were actually quite good, the star of the night, with lots of cheese and a crispy crust on the bottom. The deep dish pizza is also something I might try again as the crust had a good flavor and was again crispy on the bottom. There was a little too much sauce for my liking so I would definitely order light sauce next time. The hand tossed cheese pizza was a small step above Little Caesar's. The crust was tough, there was again too much sauce for our liking, and there was something not quite right about the cheese. My youngest son, who loves cheese pizza, didn't finish his slice and said "I don't like the pizza". The cheese pizza could be classified as a disappointment. The location is take out and delivery only, no seating except to wait for your order. As others have said, the employees were friendly and helpful so no complaints there. We just didn't care for the pizza. I might go back for the deep dish and bread sticks in a pinch but given that our absolute favorite pizza place is only two miles down the road, why settle? read more

Hands down my favorite pizza spot in Hampton Roads. When I order delivery they are always on time. The most I've ever waited was 30mins even with a big order. First, a kind "Hello" to the woman with the blonde hair working there today (3/5/2014) early afternoon. You were kind but most importantly, you are HOT lol. Second, THIS is pizza that comes very very close to NYC pizza. Locals would say Pungo is the place to go, but no, at least not for the pizza. Nicely done pizza with fresh as all Hell toppings. We loved it! We want more. Third, the wings, which I always get plain because how else can you tell if the core of the dish was done properly, were awesome. There was a nice char to them that I thoroughly enjoyed. Not throughout the whole wing and not all of the wings, just char here and there. It was very very pleasant. Fourth, CinnaStix were delicious. Not much to say here because you can't really mess up CinnaStix. The sugar level on them were perfect. Not too sweet, just right. Would east again. Fifth, the hot female working the cash register....you're hot :P 'nuff said. Overall a great experience. Small place but then again it's a "pick up and go" sort of establishment, no tables (from what I could see when I wasn't staring at the clerk). But I guarantee you the pizza, wings and desserts were excellent. Also, from what I hear, their sandwiches are made with the same dough used to make the pizza. **looks around** Am I the only person who doesn't like this place? Well at least I can say I gave them a fair shot. The first time around, we tried the New York style pepperoni pizza with the turbo crust and hot wings. The wings were okay- those earned this review another star but the pizza left something to be desired. I had to chomp through bland sauce and cheese to reach this flavorful crust. Umm okay. I figured maybe it was my own fault for not sticking with their more popular deep dish so I tried them again. This time it was even worse. I tried the personal size cheese with just the butter crust. Bland, bland, bland! I only ate 1 slice! Again, I thought it was me so I used my husband and mini me as test dummies. The mini me took a bite, chewed it a bit, looked at me for approval, spit it out, and moved on with her life. My husband said it had no taste whatsoever but finished it off for his pre-dinner snack. No wasted food around here! I've reached the decision that this place just isn't for my family but I'm sure Jet's won't care as they have a strong fan base in this area. read more

SUPER BUMMED!! I order from these guys often! I've always dealt with "Ken" for my order and "Randy" for my delivery, and they've both been outstanding! But today I call to place my order for delivery and I get "Daniel", as soon as I give him my address he literally laughs and mutters "that's not happening", I said "I'm sorry, what".....silence. Then he says "what do you want", I start to say "you have a special online for....." , he cuts me off and says "if you want an online special, then you have to order online". So I start TRYING to explain (per Ken) "that my address is right on the inside edge of the delivery cut-off, so close that the system won't allow me to order online, so PER KEN, I have to call to place my order and they will put the online price in for me". Well "Daniel" wasn't having it, he said "sorry if you want the online price, you have to order online, because we have no way to get that price in the store" so I asked "well then how does Ken do it for me every time when I call?" He said "I don't know, you can call back on Thur when Ken is here and ask him" then he said "JUST HOLD ON". Then I get "this is Angel, how can I help you". I start going thru the whole process again and he's talking over me and telling me that "if I would just tell him what I wanted, he would have to search ALL of the online coupons and figure out what I wanted", I said "well.....I've tried to tell you multiple times what I want", so I ordered again, he gave me my total and said "Dan will be there in 45 mins", I said "the Dan that I talked to first" and he said "yes". Well that's unfortunate. So I said "ok, your name is Angel and his name is Daniel and Ken will be there on Thursday (and now I know Ken is the OWNER) correct? He said "I can't tell you when Ken will be here, he comes and goes and he pleases". Jet's is deliciously unhealthy... Just like Krispy Kreme, Hooters, etc. Everything in moderation, right? If you're looking to cut calories or lose weight, this is not the place for you. Their deep dish pizza is crunchy and soaked in garlicky flavored butter and cheese. It's a bit like Pizza Hut's pan pizza, but better. They have different crust options and also NY style as well as deep dish. Their Turbo crust is brushed with butter, garlic, and Romano cheese. We've had their Hawaiian with turbo crust on multiple occasions and it's amazing each time. I certainly wouldn't recommend eating Jet's everyday, but it's awesome comfort/lazy food especially during football season. They definitely beat any other local chain competitors in my opinion. read more

I ordered Jet's Pizza for the first time tonight. My office had ordered it yesterday and I had to have it again. The delivery time was quicker than the anticipated 30-45 minutes they quoted me. That was definitely a plus! Seeing as it was my first time ordering, I did not know that you could customize the crust. I chose the "turbo." It is a mixture of butter, garlic, and Romano cheese. I also ordered Jet's Bread. Needless to say, my boyfriend and I were absolutely thrilled with service and quality. We will be ordering here more often!! read more
