Yes, I was craving the n00dz so you bet I needed a Ji Bei Chuan fixing! I ordered the rice noodles with beef brisket in tomato soup (and an add-on of tendon), as well as the spicy fish skin. Let me tell you, I was completely satisfied! My only complaint about the noodles was that the beef brisket chunks were a bit big & they included tendon, which is fine but y'all gotta cut that meat into smaller pieces! Specializing in slippery rice noodles in soup, this shop is unapologetically Chinese. But don't be afraid to try if you are not Chinese. Their menus make ordering super easy. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. We've been here a few times now and tried nearly half the menu. Everything was delicious without being too salty. You can honestly drink the whole of soup without worrying about being dehydrated later. The rice noodles just slide right down your throat. Just let the soup sit a little while. They are extremely hot. And don't touch the bowls. They're very hot and help to keep the soup hot for quite a while. Most of the soups are in the $15 range. Quite a deal for such a large bowl. This new noodle and ramen place opened up last week in Bayside. Ji Bei Chuan is a rice noodle chain that originated in China. This new location in Bayside has very similar aesthetics to the one in Flushing. They have the same mural in both locations. The restaurant is large with both tables and booths. There's a huge wooden table down the middle of the restaurant for larger groups or for communal dining. We got the Minced Pork Noodles ($14), Fried Wontons ($7), Cucumber Salad ($7) and Vegetable Rolls ($4.50). The noodles were tasty and cooked perfectly. The thinly shredded cucumbers on top helped with managing the heat of the soup base. For those who can't handle a lot of heat, this is a good dish to get. The cucumber salad was light and refreshing with a hint of spice. Both the Vegetable Rolls and Fried Wontons were fried perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our go to place for Chinese noodle soups. I recommend the signature chicken one since the broth is so hearty. I find the chicken itself a little dry though but this hits the spot if I'm feeling sick. We always get the spicy fish skins to have with our soups, I wonder if they make those themselves- they are delicious and satisfyingly crunchy. Tom yum seafood is another one I'd recommend. Mala beef is super flavorful but warning- we always end up with heartburn after having it, so it's pretty intense. Delivers well and never had an issue with our orders. read more

Wow!! I got the minced pork mixed sauce noodles with fish filled on the side, their fish maw rice noodle soup, half a hainan chicken, pickled cucumbers and woodear salad for 3 people and it blew my mind. The fish maw was wonderfully tender but not mushy and it didn't have an intense flavor. The woodear salad had a bit of mala spiciness to it and the cucumber was very refreshing. It was a great in-between pallete cleanser. The mixed noodles though, were my favorite. It had a strong almost peanut taste to it and the sauce was thick and clung on to ever noodle. It was a shame I became full so quickly or I would've devoured the entire bowl! The restaurant itself is really well lit, and nicely spaced so it didn't feel cramped, and the servers were all really nice. It was my first time having noodles from here, but it did not dissapoint. Lastly, the hainan chicken had a good flavor to it. Their sweet and spicy dipping sauce was a good ppairing to the chicken and it made me want to keep eating. A friend told me about this noodle place and we decided to try it. Four of us came in for early dinner on a Friday evening and were seated right away. Inside is nice and bright, also very clean. There is a long commune table in the middle of the restaurant and plenty of smaller tables around it. For starter, we ordered the Pickled Cucumbers, Fried Oysters, Dumplings in Spicy Oil, and Hainanese Chicken. All pretty good but the Hainanese Chicken was meh.
