Fast and efficient service but I had purchased a Groupon and still had to pay over $100 for an oil change and service. When I asked the clerk he attempted to explain that the limitations were on the Groupon but he could not find them. I sucked it up because what had been done was done. It would have been nice if he would have informed me about the limitations before the work was done and bill presented to me. read more

Checked online and saw that this location was open til 6 PM on Sunday. I arrived at the gate at 4:40 PM along side another car for a oil change. The manager walked over to my car and I got an feeling I wasn't going to like the news before I opened my car door to get out. JL - "Hello Sir, we are about to close, but the good news is I can give you a discount for next time." Me - "Uhh I checked online before I left, and saw you guys were open til 6 PM." JL - "Oh the new hours haven't yet been updated yet. We close at 5 now. Here is your discount for next time! (Hands me a generic coupon for 10% off) Me - "Does this coupon work for any Jiffy Lube? I live in Chicago." JL - "Yep it works for every Jiffy Lube!" I actually was cool about it, until I pulled a U turn out of there, and saw the car that came right before me entered the bay for service. I get that it isn't the workers fault that the hours were not updated online, I did think it was bs when the car that got there right before me got a happy ending instead of me when it was still only 4:40 PM. And when I got home, I looked at the back of the coupon, and it only works at "Chicagoland Jiffy Lubes" which is only like 20 locations around the suburbs. This Jiffy Lube is by far my favorite. The manager is always so nice! I never have to wait long here, and the time that they quote me is always accurate. I usually use a coupon, and it is never a problem. But, the thing I love the most is that they don't try to sell me anything I don't need! I go in for an oil change, and I never feel pressured to get another service. At every other Jiffy Lube, I'm pressured to get new filters, services, etc. That's not the case at this location. Oh--and my car is always clean when I leave because they vacuum it. I highly recommend this location. read more

Very disappointed with the service at this Jiffy Lube. I waited for over an hour for an oil change, and then found out that my car wouldn't start after turning it off. Instead of helping me out, the employees began helping customers who came after me. All I needed was a jump to get my car going, and they were unable to do that for me. Instead, I had to contact AARP and have one of their gracious employees give me a jump in the parking lot. Needless to say, I did not have my battery replaced at Jiffy Lube nor will I be getting oil changes there. Very poor service and embarrassing for the employees working there! Alright - I pulled in behind one car already in the garage. There were two cars in the next lane. I walked in to the typically smoke-smelling waiting area and played with my apps for about 20 minutes. Noticing my car hadn't moved, I looked through the window to see a frantic worker getting yelled at by the lady in the car still in front of me. Apparently her car was now dead. They were looking for jumpers. They couldn't find any. No jumper cables in the car fixy-shop. They actually asked a guy who was there pissed off because his oil was leaking after a change if he had any cables! They couldn't give me any estimate on wait time. I pulled out and went down the street to the Shell Auto place and they hooked me up there in like 5 minutes. Don't do business here. read more

I came here on a whim because I needed an oil change and rear differential fluid change. I was greeted immediately. I was really happy with the service and they were efficient with getting me in and out in about 30 minutes. There was one car before mine. The guys were friendly and courteous and explained everything they were doing in a way that was easy to understand (I'm someone who knows nothing about cars!). My experience at Jiffy Lube soured me on the whole business of UPSELLING customers at JL. I took the Value oil change and the manager couldn't stop pounding away at other ways to up the bill. I think the more you spend, the better advantage a customer is at in getting the polite service. I have come to this particular JL 80% of the time when I need something. Last August I even used them to put a new battery in with far better results with customer service. Got a value oil change, new break light and top-off on radiator. With a value added oil change, you can't get car windows cleaned! The mechanic was sticking with that policy. UPSELLING is a JL benchmark as an employee. In the end result a customer should not have to feel secondary in customer service. Competition is out there. Oh, downloading coupons and AAA MEAN LITTLE EITHER. These guys are the absolute best!! They are super polite and helpful, never pushy and always go the extra mile for me. Especially kevin! Recently, I let my brakes get so bad I had to push the brake all the way to the floor. I stopped there, knowing they dont do brakes, just to see if they would tell me if I had fluid or not. Johan said he knew I didnt. I asked if he could recommend a place I could go that night, being as it was already 5:30. He recommended another jiffy lube 15 min away and even called the guys over there to let them know to look out for me. Tremendous customer service! Im a customer for life! This is a new management and staff. I last tried them two years ago but left in anger due to slow and rude service. I tried them yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the new manager. He was very helpful. Informed me of my options without the hard sell. Did the service well and promptly. I was further impressed to see them patiently help a senior who was a little confused about needing brake fluid that JL couldn't do. The manager wrote down the type he needed, told him where to get it and then showed him how to add it. Way above the call. I brought another car back today for same great service. read more

I was not impressed during my last visit a few days ago. I waited forever for my car to be serviced (I was the only car there), while the men ate pizza and talked. I was told that I needed to upgrade my oil and needed transmission fluid. $170 and over an hour later I left. Four days later I took my car in to NTB for brake repair and they noticed that ALL OF MY FLUIDS WERE VERY LOW. No power steering fluid, no windshield wiper fluid, etc. etc. No fluids. This is supposed to be part of the Signature Service. I think it's bad and I blame the management. Needless to say, I've called and am waiting for some kind of response from management. So far, nothing. read more

I typically go to my Personal mechanic for any repairs or oil changes but I was in a pinch and I needed my oil changed so I went to the Jiffy Lube on Glenview Rd they did a quick oil change & gave me great advice on my car with what oil to use, and tips on things extra things to do for my vehicle since I work for Uber. I came in another time because my car was rattling & they told me everything I needed to know & had a great attitude about it they weren't pushy & came off very personable & helped me put my heat shield back on to eliminate the rattling noise, great service !!! Trust these bad reviews...this place is not good in so many respects. They changed air filters that were clean and did not need to be changed. They rotated tires that only had 1500 miles on them. Yes, I did get the requested oil change... plus another $70 in costs that I did not ask for. Jiffy Lube up sell all the time. And now they charge for service that was not even requested. read more

Extremely shady service. I STRONGLY recommend taking your business elsewhere. After getting my car back (and having to wait for a very long time) I noticed items from the glove compartment were moved. Also, the keys that I had given them (house and car keys on the same keychain) were all separated and we suspect they were copied at the hardware store next door. They also left a mess in the back of the car. Avoid this Jiffy Lube. We're in the process of following up. read more

BEWARE! DO NOT COME HERE! I have been coming here for years and had a really sour experience the other day when I stopped in for an oil change. I came in on my lunch break and I asked them for an oil change. In the past, I had usually come with coupons in hand and paid around $30 for a conventional oil change. When I went in the other day, there was a new manager. He informed me that I was WELL overdue for an oil change and my oil was "burnt" (my light had just come on!). He then pressured me to "flush my engine" to reverse the damage. Since I trusted his opinion, I went with it. He also upsold me with synthetic oil, suggesting it was a requirement. At the end of the experience, my bill was $120! I went home and read my owner's manual. The manual suggested that I change the oil once the change oil message came up (which I did), and the manual said that synthetic oil was NOT required! I was hustled because the new manager figured that he could take advantage of me. read more

My recent simple oil change at this location took 90 minutes: 30 minutes waiting for the car ahead of me to be finished (that they did not appear to be doing anything to) and another hour to change my oil, without having them check or change my air filters. I hate having to argue with the advisor about what kind of oil my car needs and the recommended interval for oil changes and other services. I can read my service manual and don't care what Jiffy Lube enters into their recommended service software. I forgot to ask them not to clean my windows or check the tire pressure, since I then have to go home and re-clean the smeary windows and adjust the tires to their proper inflation. On this visit, every customer had to argue with the advisor about what kind of oil to use. I realize that up-selling is how they make money, but it has gotten to be too obnoxious.The other four customers waiting with me were also upset with the long wait and two tried to leave but were talked out of it. I used to go here more frequently for both my cars, but service in the last few years has gone downhill. I stopped have them change my cabin air filter after the time they were too lazy to pull the glove box and just stuffed the crumbled up filter into half of the opening. I only went this time because I was in a hurry (so much for that). I'll be going back to the dealer from now on. It's actually cheaper, and if I have to wait, the waiting room is nicer. read more

I cannot give this a big fat zero rating so I'll choose the least. Even this one star rating is too generous for this terrible Jiffy Lube. My nanny pays cash for everything. She goes to Jiffy Lube on Glenview Road for an oil change last weekend. They opened up the hood, waited awhile and then a girl pulls her car out of shop, and asked her if she's paying in cash. She told her it's $60. Nanny gave her the cash. Girl did not provide receipt and nanny drives off. A week later my nanny says her oil indicator is back on again. I said maybe they forgot to reset it. Asked her what they did and to give me receipt. She said they didn't give her one and told me story of how girl asked for the cash outside the shop (in front of Little Caesar). I said "what?!" I called Jiffy Lube and explain to assistant manager, Rubin, what happened. He said to come back in and they will do oil change again for free. Like hell they will. Told him I was concerned that others who pay cash are being being treated like this. Glenview is a good and honest town and with them pulling something like this here, makes town look bad. Nanny brought car back in. About an hour and half later, I called Jiffy Lube and got Rubin again. He said he said he spoke to girl and girl said she doesn't know anything about this. Wow!! A guy that worked there that day said he remembered a silver Toyota Highlander come in. They have a thief there. Don't use them. I suspect the girl kept the cash or she split it with the other guys working there that day. Terrible, terrible people. Think twice before you head there. If anyone knows of a way to drive this Jiffy Lube out of our neighborhood, I'm in. read more
