Just came in for an oil change ($67) and Mike tried to sell me $400 worth of "recommended" services. When I said that I wasn't going to spend $400 in a single afternoon (also because he's been telling EVERYONE that they need new air filters, etc), he patronized me and said "Well, a car's an investment and you gotta take care of it." Today it was super fast and they accidentally did something I didn't authorize but they fixed their mistake and didn't charge me for it and were super nice about everything! I was hesitant to visit another Jiffy Lube after an awful experience at a location in Yorba Linda the last time around. I've mystery shopped these places before so I know very well what the perfect customer experience should be like. Today, I had that experience. I showed up about 12:40 PM on a Friday. I was waved into a lane as soon as I drove up. The guy greeted me at my car and invited me inside, explaining that he was going to get some information about my car and then would talk to me in a few minutes. He confirmed that I wanted an oil change. I asked him to please not wash the windshield (I had just had repairs done) and he immediately called out the information to the technicians. Inside, it was clean and trash-free. After a few minutes, I was called to the side where a technician went over the recommendations for my car. He tried to push synthetics but I declined and chose the conventional. He did not try to pressure me at all. He had pulled my air filter and cabin air filter (two things I change myself after very bad experiences with other oil change places using the wrong parts!). I asked him to please put them back and explained that I replace them myself. Again, he agreed cheerfully and there was no pressure. He recommended tire rotation and I declined (the other place did not put the wheel covers on properly and I lost one). Again, he was cheerful when I declined. I waited maybe 10 minutes and then another technician called me out to my car. He pointed out the fluids he had topped off and showed me the oil level on the dipstick. Again, this was the third person I had had contact with and again, he was very respectful and polite. He thanked me and directed me to the cashier, who greeted me cheerfully and went over everything that had been done to my car. He even told me about their top off program (which no one has ever bothered to mention in all my years getting oil changed at JiffyLube -- good job!!). He took my coupon and my total was just under $25. So...no pressure, just very polite giving of information and cheerful acceptance of my decisions. Very thorough, very quick and efficient. All four technicians were polite. I was done within 25 minutes. And I left smiling. read more

I always get stressed about getting an oil change because I hate it when they pressure you into getting additional work for your car. This is my second time here and they may recommend things if your car needs something but with no pressure! If your car doesn't need anything they won't try to get you to get unnecessary work. If I could leave negative stars, I would. I'll never take my car to this place again..or any other Jiffy Lube for that matter, the biggest headache dealing with these people.. not worth it. I brought my car in for a reg oil change.. no big deal, however, my car was returned to me with oil stains all over the door handle on the light gray floor mats inside (I guess they don't believe in laying down paper or plastic to protect your upholstery) and all over my drivers seat. These dudes didn't notice that I hadn't brought my vehicle in looking this way, either that or they didn't care (I'd put my money on the latter) & when I brought it to the attn of a Billy fellow, I was informed that I could bring my car back in for a free int detailing... "I'll put it in the notes here, you're good to go, bring it by later and ask for jason." Yeah, I called to bring my car back in for the int cleaning and suddenly everyone develops amnesia. I was given the run around, I spoke to a Manny, a Billy, but never a mgr.... I was then informed I could bring my car in at a specific time when the "detailing guy" would be there... only to be informed the day of that there is no detailing guy coming after all... some spray and a rag was what sufficed then. Each person I've spoken to seems to throw the previous person Ive spoken to under the bus... "not sure why he told you that, I apologize, this should've been handled this way or that way blah blah blah." I thought the DMV was bad. No accountability here... filing a complaint with corporate seems to be the only solution now read more

My first and last time. I came to get a quick oil change and they told me that engine oil needed to drain out because it was old. BS!!! I just had my major service at the regular dealer on May, I informed them. Then they continue to tell me I need this and that...I said to the person that was helping me. They are okay. They took me last minute, 10 minutes before closing. That was very nice of them. However. I did ask of they could fill up my tires with air, & they said that they did. When i went home they did not. Usually jiffy lube does fill up the air in the tires. Overall, overall i give it 3 stars use its just okay service. read more

Omg !!! Where do I start . This jiffy lube is the best . I just had my older car serviced there . I went in for what I thought was just a quick oil change .. but of course , like always other issues were found ., I was fearful of the repair costs , plus I was hesitant to trust their findings based off past experiences at other contenders . But I went in and immediately i could feel a genuine sense of trust. I could tell instantly that customer service is their main focus . They performed the required diagnostics on my vehicle . Thankfully my car only needed the oil change plus sensors.. I came in on a Tuesday and it was raining. They were surprisingly busy and thought it might be a bad time but decided to drive in. A nice girl greeted me and took my info then escorted me to the waiting room making sure I was careful not to slip on the wet floor. I was anticipating the usual sales pitch and up sales that I get from oil change stations I have been to but thankfully not the case here. They asked what oil I normally used, let me know that one of my windshield wiper blades were damaged and quoted me a price that seemed reasonable. Billy, the service manager maybe, needed some more info on my car, He was very professional but had a good sense of humor as well. As I was waiting, I noticed the interactions with other customers, they seemed like regulars or long term customers. I got the feeling this place was different than other service centers i had experienced. It took about 20 minutes, faster than expected. When I was paying, I presented a coupon but it was actually expired so they gave me a Yelp discount. I was very satisfied with my experience here and the employees performed well. Don't trust them. Within 3 weeks of having my oil changed on my truck I heard a lifter making noise, checked the oil level and it was low. Found the oil filter hadn't been tightened, leaking oil, not even hand tight. Find a mechanic you can trust or do it yourself!! read more

Dangerous!!! I went there to have my oil changed and they offered to rotate my tires (something I'd been meaning to do but hadn't made the time). They quoted me $29 to do the additional service, which at that price isn't worth my time to do it myself! They changed my oil, vacuumed and did the windows like normal. Now when it came to rotating the tires, they put it on the lift and buzzed them off with an electric impact. They went front to back as I had asked, but when they reinstalled them they used the same electric impact. They never used a torque wrench to set the final torque on the wheels. Feeling uneasy about it (knowing electric impacts can vary as battery life goes down) I went home and checked with my torque wrench. Some were around 90 foot pounds and others were around 120 foot pounds. The factory manual calls out for 140 foot pounds on my truck! Also using an impact to drive it home is a good way to warp brake rotors! Dissatisfied that this was the quality of work they did on such a major component! Others without the ability to check with a torque wrench are driving around on faith that the person who serviced their car did it correctly and that their family is safe to ride in their vehicle! read more

Went in for the "Signature oil change which includes inspection of the air filter which they marked as "OK" I was at my dealer the same week on an unrelated issue and found out the air filter was very dirty and needed to be replaced. They never even looked at my air filter and probably nothing else. when I called I was told it was too labor intensive to remove the air filter from an audi. I called the corporate office to have someone above the manager level speak to me and nobody got back to me. These people are dishonest . I will never use Jiffy Lube again! read more

So we are clear on my experience with this company. I've been coming here for a few years and had some problems in the past, but nothing like what I experienced today. I arrived on Sunday at 1:20pm and waiting for someone to tell me how much the bill would be, at 1:38pm they told me it would cost $250 to change my oil, oil filter and fuel filter. My truck is a diesel F250 and this amount is not uncommon. However, what happened next was very uncommon. I noticed the time and it was 2:40pm and also noticed the tech. was having problems with starting the engine. I asked him what the problem was? He stated they had lost "prime" on the fuel and it was hard to get back. Losing prime on most diesel engines is not the same as a gas motor. It takes some effort to get fuel from the fuel tank to the motor. after the "prime" has been lost. It was clear they had no idea on what they where doing and I was becoming more and more upset since this is my only vehicle. The loss of this vehicle for just one day can be very costly in repairs and income. I told the tech, if they could not get the truck started they would have to pay the towing and repair bills plus my lost wages. Now I've been there for more then 2-1/2 hours waiting for them to get the truck started. I walked over again and asked the tech if they made any progress. I was shocked by his comment "Yea, we are searching the Internet to see how to fix the problem" Now I'm thinking they do not know what they are doing and having them change the fuel filter was a bad idea. They get the truck started and discounted my bill $21 for the additional wait time. Really? $21 dollars for an additional wait time 1-1/2 hrs. OK, now I'm upset and wanted to vent my anger but no need since I was never going to give them my money again in the future. Well if you think that was bad you should hear what happened next. I drive the truck down Katella Ave. and the censors starting coming on "Low Fuel Pressure" followed by "Low Power, Reduced Power" followed by "Engine Shuts Off" at 45 mph approaching intersection. I got the truck restarted and drove back to Jiffy Lube. I talked to the tech and told him the problem. I also told him I was not going to let them work on the truck but would send a copy of the repair bill from the dealer on Monday. They asked me "will you give us a chance to see what is wrong? I agreed, that was my second mistake. They installed new filters and the problem did not change. I video taped and recorded one of the techs telling me they did the procedure wrong the first time. I was approached by another person who told me the same thing as the first but did not want to be recorded saying any wrong doing on the part of them. Who cares what he wants when they are clearly trying to avoid being caught performing and charging for services they are not qualified to perform. Would I recommend them? NO Will I go back again? NO Should future consumers be aware of their incompetence? YES I will posting my video on line for everyone to see. This entire process took about hours of my day with nothing but problems!!! I will cancel my $ 233 service charge...bill them for the repairs...and sue them for lost wages. read more

very bad experience. my car's engine started shaking the day I took it for my oil change and I asked the guy to please check on that. then the guy said that changing my spar plugs was gonna solve my problem and nothing, I paid $300 bucks and my car was still really bad. they lied to get that service done even though they knew it wouldnt solve my problem. very very bad.
