I'm on the phone waiting to get greeted with a friendly " hello thank you for calling jiffy lube" nope all I got was a "yeah", I just ignored it and was very friendly asking their prices and he did tell me but I could hardly hear him he spoke too fast like if he thought I actually knew their prices. I asked politely to repeat himself and he did but with an attitude that made me not want to make an appointment with them but all I wanted to do was talk it over with my boyfriend and call them back but when I said "thank you very much for your time" he just hung up with no good bye. I was visiting from Los Angeles and my oil change was almost due so I decided to go here for an oil change. I paid around $90 for the synthetic blend oil change which is good for atleat 5k miles. After 1k miles my oil maintenance light came on and my local repair shop said and showed me that the oil (which was pitch black) and filter wasn't changed. I contacted the shop and they insisted that the service was done.... I asked for an explanation on why my oil was so black and filter wasn't changed.... then the manager said let my check the camera and call you back which he did and said the camera shows it was changed..... so I asked him can you please email me the video and replied that there was no way he could but if I wanted to see it I can come anytime that was easy for him to say since I'm all the way in LA. I wouldn't go to this shop especially if they are going to take people's hard earned money and not do the service that you pay for. read more

I have taken my car here several times and I haven't had a problem with my car or with customer service. Donny is a great customer service rep at this store. He is super nice and will be real with you as far what your car REALLY needs. NOTE: this is a busy store, so before you complain about their customer service and the waiting time, you should check your ATTITUDE first before you go in, not only to this store but any place where there is a high volume of customers (I'm just SAYING). TIPS: if you want fast service, AVOID THE WEEKENDS and NEAR CLOSING TIME (makes sense right!!) I always go in the mornings or on a Thursday, for some reason it seems to work for me. No more than 30 min wait :) All in all, I'm a girl that rather be shopping thaN changing oil and this place allows me to do both. I came here just to get a routine oil change and I was pleasantly surprised by how quick and easy this experience was. Along with getting an oil changed, they checked the air filter, wiper blades, coolant reservoir and lot of other things which I guess it all part of the oil change routine but it's still was nice to know that all those things are being paid attention too and all this only took about 20-25 mins at around 1PM on a Monday. And at the end of the service, they left a few little candies on my dash to say thank you. The technician that helped was named Chris and he was nice and chatty and seemed knowledgable. I went for an oil change on Friday, 8/17, arriving after 5pm. My company vehicle with is Lease Plan I'm informed that the vehicle oil change will take up and hour or so. Moreover to wait for the technician in the lobby waiting room. I get my quote and sign it. I head out for dinner at the Collection since they close at 7pm. I get a call at 6:53pm that the vehicle is ready. I pick up the vehicle. I drive the vehicle into my garage. The next morning while leaving I noticed leakage on my garage floor. I initially dismissed it as the ac coolant but following a 4 day period after getting an oil change. I started noticing more and more that everywhere I parked the vehicle left a puddle of oil/water. I decided go to PepBoys, Monday evening where they told me I was at "dangerously low levels" of oil. They had to document the incident with LeasePlan just in case the "dangerously low levels of oil" might have damaged the engine. Moreover that Jiffy Lube forgot to tighten the oil tank. Seriously I called Jiffy Lube and spoke to guy, who stated the DM to be Justin. I have yet to call Justin and report the poor customer service. I have a garage floor to clean up after and looking for ways to clean up the oil spill. Thank you Jiffy Lube for confirming why I don't go to you. I had a friend who spoke on your behalf since we were coming from LA and made a pit stop for dinner in Oxnard about the service but one thing you're good at is your consistency poor customer service delivery. read more

Horrible experience. I took my car in to get my annual Uber Vehicle Inspection on 05/24/2018. They failed the inspection because one of my headlights was out as well as one right license plate light (supposedly). Instead of them charging me to replace all the lights that were out, I decided to swap them out myself. Knowing the headlight was the only thing I needed to replace to pass Uber Inspection. After taking possession of my car from Jiffy Lube, I checked all lights that according to them were out and needed to be replaced and Unbelievably my license plate light WAS STILL working. Thinking they made a mistake and still having to replace my headlight I went to home and replaced only the headlight, knowing that the headlight was the only thing on the Uber inspection form. Went to Jiffy Lube the following day to get it reinspected, and as Manager Rupert was finishing up writing the Inspection form with a "pass", Inspection Technician Saul walked into the shop informed Rupert "don't pass it, the right license plate light is not working". (same technician from the previous day) I informed Manager Rupert that the only requirement on the Uber form is the headlight and not a license plate light. I also told him my license plate light WAS working and we should go both verify that it is or isn't. So we walk outside to my car. I turn on the car, walk over to the rear of the car as Rupert is bending over looking at the light. He tells me that it isn't working. I bend over and see the light is on. I tell him to bend over a bit more so he can actually see the light because it is working. He then said "Sometimes the wires can be a bit loose and it takes some movement for it to work" he slightly taps the hood, puts his hand where the light should shine and said "its still out" I ask him to bend over and actually see the light as I am underneath the light and visually able to see that it IS working. He leans over, sees it and sais "yea, it turned on after I tapped the hood, sometimes its just loose in there". I tell him its been on the whole time, even when I brought it in yesterday. Ive also been checking it throughout the day. The Inspection Tech Saul, visually upset comes over and tells Rupert "Just pass it" don't worry about it. Its horrible to know that even after correcting all the required Uber Inspection points, they STILL wouldn't pass it, trying to get added services out of me like fixing other light bulbs. I only go to this place one a year. imagine those of you who go multiple times a year? How much money have they tried to steal from you or successfully stole from you? With so many car maintenance places out there, lets choose those who are honest, trustworthy, have integrity and someone who will not be deceitful like Jiffy Lube has been. places like these thrive by increasing sales. A light bulb here and there, a recommended maintenance here in there that is not required at the time, but these guys talk you into doing is slowly increasing their sales by deception. I have a normal mechanic that I typically go to for my oil changes and everything else with my car I don't like going to a bunch of different places where I'm getting overcharged or finding out that everything is wrong with my car when it really is not I am a woman so that happens to me quite a bit I was running over on my mileage and in a hurry so I stopped by the local Jiffy Lube near my housewhich I was reluctant to do to my pleasant surprise it was a great experience I was greeted nicely right away helped out of my vehicle I got a signature service Oil change they even vacuumed my floors and cleaned my windows which I was not expecting great service Chris was the gentleman that helped me through the process he explained everything in detail and was not pushy about getting extra services he politely let me know what needed to be done and when all was completed he showed me under the hood everything that they checked and filled up went over my receipt with me I was very pleased with my service here today and they left me with a nice little card asking if I wowed themand a candy treat I felt inclined to leave a review since I had such a good experience and I'm won't be so reluctant to come by this Jiffy Lube next time thank you Chris for your help read more

Jiffy Lube on Esplanade has definitely lost the "Service" component in their Signature Service Oil Change. I visited the Oxnard Jiffy Lube at 101 W. Esplanade Drive today and there were only a couple of cars in each bay and yet it took over 1 hour and 10 minutes, but that wasn't the worst part. The form that printed out stated that they had Vacuumed the Floors and had Washed the Exterior Windows, but they did not complete that like they were supposed to. The technician left the hood of my vehicle open, but unlike in the past the Cashier closed it along with another car and did not bother to show me or the other person waiting for their car that the Signature Service had been performed. I also inquired about the cost for replacing the windshield wiper blades and the Cashier stated one price only to show a different price on the estimate. When he returned from a break, I questioned him about it and he said that there was a per wiper blade charge even though I asked how much it would be to replace both wiper blades. I am so glad that I went online and found a $20 Coupon because their Service is NO longer something that my wife or I can depend on and even getting the oil change at a discounted price definitely will make me think about using this store again. Very unsatisfactory service so make sure you check what you're getting or paying for. read more

I went in for an oil change and found out that I needed other work to be done. So I let them perform the work. I thought I was going have my car back the next day but kept getting calls that the part was not there and I kept getting told it would be here tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow. I ended up not having a car for 4 days. When I finally got the call that my car was ready, I went up there and the jiffy lube manager showed me my final price for all of the work. I was already given a price the first day when I left my vehicle, this new price had increased 300 dollars all because of 2.5 hours of labor. I was super unhappy because they did not communicate this new price to me over the phone, they just told me how many hours of labor I would be charged. Unacceptable. I was not going to pay that ridiculous amount for my car just sitting and taking up space at their shop. I tried to ask for a discount for the inconvenience and was only given an additional 5 percent off along with the 10 percent for military discount. Unacceptable. I should have been given more off since I was the one inconvenienced. And at the very end of all of this the manager tried to increase the final price bit by bit and I constantly had to keep reminding him and asking him why did it jump up that much. He repeatedly said tax but there was already a tax price included in the price. So I felt he was trying to get over on me, if I would not have paid attention and thoroughly looked at the paperwork I would have paid more than the price he originally told me. This place was very unprofessional and the communication was extremely poor. I will never go back to this business again and to future customers make sure you read through your quotes and paperwork thoroughly. I recently went in here for an oil change, they tried to tell me my car could only use synthetic because that was recommended. (Upsale much?) Charged me an arm and a leg for an oil change. $70 for this mind you. Then less than 2 weeks later my oil light came on! WHAT? Check my oil I HAVE ZERO OIL...I call I am told its MY fault for not using synthetic and they are not liable. News flash boys...While synthetic may be recommended NOT using it does not equal zero oil a few weeks later. Just more frequent oil changes. ALSO finding coolant splattered across our engine and a loose cap was just a secondary amount of salt in my already sad wallet when I had to take it elsewhere and have fixed what they messed up. Excellent service! I normally perform my own oil changes, but for nearly the same price as buying the oil/oil filter at local auto sales stores, the time savings is worth it at times. I had a signature jiffy lube service for $25 (w/ $15 off coupon on SoCal website) and with quick, professional and customer service friendly employees like David you can't go wrong. UPDATE: Jiffy Lube corporate has offered to resolve the issue. I really appreciate them taking the time to fix this. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm sorry to say I won't be coming to Jiffy Lube anymore. I was shown transmission fluid that was dark and had particulate matter in it and told I needed to replace it right away because it should be cherry red. I was also told coolant and battery needed to be replaced ASAP because they were dangerously old. I trusted this information and paid about $600 total to have all these things done plus oil. Drove the car for about 1000 miles and went to another mechanic in town for an unrelated sensor issue. This mechanic, DMC transmission, showed me the same dark fluid particulate matter etc. they said the oil was perfect and battery perfect, but showed me that trans fluid and coolant were old, trans not cherry red but dirty and coolant had .25 volts charge, meaning it needed to be replaced. DMC has 5 stars on yelp and they didn't want to say outright that jiffy lube didn't do the work, but that maybe they just replaced half the fluid or something because coolant and trans fluid were old. At this point I was very disappointed in jiffy lube and frustrated. I had the fluids replaced and system flushed at DMC and returned to jiffy lube to ask for a refund of just those two services. They refused and said I should have returned the car as soon as I found the old fluids. I understand why they said this but my car was already being worked on at DMC and I felt like I couldn't trust jiffy lube after seeing that the fluid was not new as it should have been. Anyway I was denied a refund and ended up paying for those service twice. Jiffy lube says it's a he said she said situation but if the fluid is showing dirty and contaminated 1000 miles after they said they replaced it then it's clear to me that jiffy lube either didn't do the services or didn't do them properly. It's sad because I've gone to this location for many years and always trusted them. I understand they need to protect their business but I'm not trying to scam them, just trying to get a refund for a poorly done service. I will not come back. read more
