It was 115 degrees in Pasadena today and jiffy lube was the only place to get freon and an oil change. I didn't question the price because I would've paid anything, but I was very happy when the bill came because the price was reasonable, but included was excellent and speedy service. The manager Chris went above and beyond by offering to help me load my car with items I just bought when he didn't need to do any of that. I have been to this jiffy lube been before and had very good service. The last few times I've tried to go they always tell me that they don't have a specific grade of oil that I want. So I decided to go to another JL nearby and asked for the same oil and they said they had it. I told that that I go to the other one and they always say they don't have it, I asked why is that and they told me they probably have it but don't wanna put it in my car. This other JL informed that the oil I requested is not recommended for my car but they will put it in as long as I sign a waiver. I have no problem with that at all. Basically this JL on walnut won't do it because they don't want to. So they LIED. Had they asked me to sign the waiver saying they are not liable I would've done it. Don't go here they also always try and up sell. I get it I used to be in sales so I know the game. But when I say no, please don't respond are you sure or we recommend it. Thanks. read more

Pretty bummed to write this review because usually I'm really taking care of at this place but today however I came in needing an oil change and also had an engine light on. I asked for an oil change and inquiring about the light that was on and was told I needed a radiator flush and when asked if that would affect the light I was told " that it could" basically that wasn't accurate and the second person to ring me up told me the truth about my light which I appreciated and also gave me $30 off for the mishap. I have been to this location at least 4 times for my Toyota Tacoma. 1) First time the filter was changed without removing the factory skid plate and dumped oil all over the plate which ran off and created a large puddle on our concrete driveway. 2) Second time I removed the skid plate and the oil/filter change seemed to be better so problem solved? Not quite. 3) Third time the oil drain was loose and started dripping after a couple of weeks. Not even hand tight. Driveway oil spots all over. 4) Fourth time time, after 2 months the filter loosened and not was even hand tight when I checked it. Lost a quart of oil with most of it on my driveway and trailer. read more

This is my first time getting my car serviced at Jiffy Lube and wow! I couldn't've had a better experience. Firstly, I pulled up and was greeted immediately; they were kind, friendly and ready to help. Every staff member took appropriate precautions by wearing masks, gloves and proper distancing. I came in for an oil change and had been given the option to stay in my car while it was being serviced because their lobby was/is closed due to COVID-19 and it being safer, more convenient for everyone. I politely declined for I wanted to sit and read my book (thinking it would take at least thirty minutes). And guess what? It took no more than twenty minutes to change my oil, fill up my tires, top off my fluids and clean my windshield! I didn't expect my oil change experience to be anything more than decent but I was taken aback by their efficiency, work ethic and excellent customer service. Pulled up for an oil change and was welcomed by Jose and the crew. They were all very professional and friendly. They asked what they could help me with today. I told them that unfortunately the oil change required light was on and I was bummed because the vehicle is due to be returned in 50 days. I was then offered a choice of Synthetic or Premium Synthetic oil for my change. Never was I informed that I could have had just standard oil. Come to find out that standard oil is 1/2 the price. Knowing that I was turning in the vehicle soon and in these tight economic times it would have been nice to have been given that option. I will NOT be returning to this store again. I'm assuming they get commission or something on the upsell. Regardless, poor form on Jiffy Lubes part. Valvoline will be getting my business from now on. This is based on what my neighbor informed me about his experience with them after I told him how shocked I was at the cost of getting my oil changed.
