Update: Jiffy lube paid for the damage and I am updating the review. Those responding time took 6 weeks since the day one I filed the complain. Not an ideal timeline but they have paid for what they mess up. Three starts for how did taking the responsibility. Not bad. Original post: Jiffy lube totally ruined my car! i took my car on Feb 2017 to do oil change, the drain plug was not installed correctly, now drain plug leaking.To correct the drain plug the shop that fixing my car that will need to remove the pan and replace it with a new pan. Due to the angle of the drain plug bolt the shop will not be able to put a insert in the pan correctly and it highly unlikely it will seal correctly with out a new pan. it cost about $3500 for a BMW X5. i tried to contacted them, but they wont give me any respond and the district manager would not respond my request at all. they wont give us our invoice from Feb 2017, only provided our most recent service invoice. we are now consider a legal action for their damn job. read more

I always come here for oil changes. The location is convenient, the staff are great, and the service is excellent. They don't try to constantly upsell me on unnecessary services, like some places do. And they have coupons online that I can conveniently pull up on my phone at any time. I will go out of my way to use this Jiffy Lube location now. Repeatedly, the crew is consistently hospitable and honest, even when it is not the same people. Service is always fast, even when cars are lined up. I was there last night, and again, exceeded my expectations. They were extremely patient, super fast service, and I never feel pressured to buy extra options. However, I do like how they explain them to me, and what their recommendations are. I really feel like they are very honest about what I need and don't need. While waiting, I witnessed them trying to talk a lady OUT of getting an oil change because she had just been there 2 weeks ago. They were very patient with her and explained that she didn't have to keep coming back but that they would top off her fluids for free, as part of their normal service. I thought it would have been very easy to take advantage of her but they didn't. I liked that. read more

They did a thorough light check and discovered that my brake lights weren't working. They offered to fix those and I heartily agreed. Then they didn't fix them. Don't make offers that you won't fulfill. They did a fine job in the oil change, fast and complete. read more

My car needed a regular scheduled oil change. My car was serviced in a timely manner.

Jiffy Lube: nice, but slow. Oil is fungible, so lube places have to compete on price or service, right? The staff here was courteous and polite. However, there is a routine here that I didn't care for. First you must get out of your car and sit in a waiting room while they look over your car for extra stuff they can do besides an oil change. Then just as you have settled into a comfy chair and the latest issue of Motor Trend, they ask you to get up and stand at the counter while they show you their computer charts illustrating how you have neglected your car and recommend you do all this other stuff. The service took 30 minutes even with no wait in line for an open bay. If I had a lot of time, I would have changed the oil myself. Also, the base price only includes 5 quarts. If you need an extra quart they will charge you steeply, I'm not sure how much, but like... $8 I think? It's crazy considering that it requires exactly the same amount of labor. Maybe next time I will tell them to just put in five and add the sixth one myself. Actually, next time I will be going back to Oil Can Henry's, which let's you stay in your car, gives you the rundown on extra services in about ten seconds, and has you on the road in about 15 minutes. read more

So it was the first time I took my Subaru to a Jiffy Lube. Oil changes are fun to do on your own but It was a rainy day! I requested for a Coolant Flush as well. They were super efficient and made my Subaru go VrooM VrOOOm vroooom again. Don't forget to check for coupons Online or sometimes you may find one in those Valpak mailers. Not only is this place slow, they are promotional hungry, which means whatever stupid promotion Jiffy Lube has, this place is pushing it without any common sense. They are on an air cabin filter kick right now, which means they told me that if I don't get a new air filter my heater was going to blow up. I can pretty much tell you that there would be a lot more heater problems in cars if that were the case. Not only did they take out my air filter, they left it dirty, sitting on my car seat when I didn't want a new one. (Napa car parts air filter- $20, Jiffy Lube $49.99) An air filter in the car is a simple thing, but I still wasn't planning on having to put it back in myself, and I did not appreciate it since I didn't ask them to take it out in the first place. Too much promotional garbage at Jiffy Lube. Find some place else to go without listening to all the goop they are giving to customers. read more

I went to this location because of the terrific Yelp reviews (there are two Jiffy Lubes close to each other). Cody IS amazing! He managed to talk me up in services (this is almost impossible), so it was $80 instead of the $60 I was anticipating. I did knock down a star because that is a LOT of money, anyway, for what i had done but whatever. He checked everything. He was cheerful and a plasure - and they took me in right after I got out of Ikea!! Everywhere else told me they were booked up. Yes, it's in Renton. Its next to Ikea. Do you know what this means? I have a manditory trip to Ikea every few months now. :) read more

I was driving around the city and errands are away from town early on a Saturday morning When I realized that my oil level said 15%. I looked on Yelp and found a Jiffy Lube 15 minutes away that was open. I had already checked two local garages that had a two week wait list. I called the Jiffy Lube and she said to come on over that there was no line, when I arrive there no customers were there and I was able to get my oil change done right away it was a little bit more expensive than my regular place which is usually around $79. This was $101, but they used the more expensive 100% deluxe synthetic oil treatment with my approval. The two young people who serves me right quick and efficient. The only thing was the next day I needed to call and they told be over the phone how to reset my oil gauge from 15 to 100%. I guess normally they said that themselves but I think they have a new system. Anyway if I'm away from my normal service person I would use Jiffy Lube again. read more

If there is a nonstart option, I will definitely choice that. I had an oil change back on Feb, they damaged the oil pan, now need to be replaced and it will cost 3k ish. We went back to them, first time they are store manager was off that day. So we contacted the corp.office. They give us the invoice and everything, we were told the case was submitted and they admitted that was their faul. It's been two weeks, and no one give us respond. I have been try to call them again, but they just sending me around like a ball. I called the shop again but their manager is always off!! This is unacceptable. We are going to filed a lawsuit. These guys are truly the best! When I drive in I am greeted by name and walked into the waiting area. They are fast and professional. GM Jamal is so kind and responsive! I am not by any means a car person and am 100% comfortable here! My daughter was nervous to take her car in for the same reason and Jamal joked with her and make her feel at ease. Getting to the point my friend tryed to do a so called oil change and it dodbt go so well they drained my oil and drained my fluid and rotated my tires the best part they gave me a packaged discount. Friendly, professional, and speedy quick - they were done in about 15-20 minutes flat. I have given up on most oil change deals at auto repair shops...seems like a way for unscrupulous outfits to lure you in to rip you off....this was a breath of fresh air. Straight up oil change (and tire rotation added on). There was no pressure to have my grill flossed or have insect-repellant wipers added on, or some unnecessary glass protective additive to my windshield fluid...I did ask for a 5k sticker for my next oil change after they asked me if I wanted the 3k sticker (synthetic blends can go a bit longer between changes), but they were fine with that. Staff was great, Restaurants close by if you don't want to wait there. I recommend them highly. read more

Pretty good lube joint, they are courteous, quick and upfront. Never had a "surprise" charge that popped up when paying. I like that they vacuum your car while you wait. My only complaint is they usually clean your inside windows with what looks like a dirty dish rag. It leaves pretty nasty streaks all over the insides so I usually ask them not to clean the inside of the windows. read more

Went hear after work around 4 cause I knew my car was leaking fluid. I original thought I was leaking transmission fluid and was expecting to pay a lot to get it fixed. It turned out I was leaking oil from my pan cause my gasket was not tight enough. They were very busy with paying clients but they took the time to talk to me. They explained to me that my fix was really easy and would not cost me any money. I thought my car issue was going to be expensive. I give Renton jiffy lube 5 stars! I have been going to Kent/Desmoines for the passed 3 years. I absolutely loved it ! MARISSA was my go to girl for my oil changes ! She took customer service to a whole new level! I loved her. Until she got transferred to Renton. I decided I still would go to the Kent/Desmoines for my monthly oil change. It was horrible! The service dropped all the way. They had me wait for unusually long , forgot to put my mile sticker on my windshield, left my filter on way to loose. Weren't friendly at all!!!! And on top of that they all were cursing and using bad language infront of customers. Which was very unfortunate, due to my kids were right there. I was so unhappy I decided to go back the next day and talk to a manager. I pulled up at nine o clock on the dot to see they weren't even open ( there suppose to open at 8). That was my last straw. So today I drove up to Renton for my oil change! First thing I saw was MARISSA with her beautiful smile ready to greet me inside. She is always awesome and so sweet!
