TLDR; -PROMOTE CODY- So I don't know if anyone higher up the ladder reads these, so I'll follow up to see if he received "Props" and place a call into the corporate office, but this review (and this account for that matter) is made due to the superior customer service provided to me by Cody this evening. I recently purchased a new vehicle for commuting purposes in my home town and drove it back to where I live now in Renton. I have been to Jiffy Lube many times back in my home town, and have never been too impressed, the help either badgers me about not knowing the 'ins and outs' of my vehicle and/or proceed to hit on my girlfriend. Which, I mean who can blame them... she's pretty smokin'... but when I have to visit a car service center, chances are I am are agitated, frustrated, and nervous to begin with. This experience was completely different. So my car was having issues starting at my home, and I looked up the closest station... and I limped my car up to the shop. I was worried because it was late (Around 6:30pm) I was greeted by a younger gentleman who asked me a few questions about what was going on, which I mean if you read above, I had "uhhh" for an answer. I described my symptoms, and he offered to top off my oil for $6. That's reasonable, so I agreed. Upon entering the shop to pay for the service I was greeted by Cody. He greeted my girlfriend and I, and asked what they were doing for me today. As he was ringing me up we chopped it up' about my car and the history behind it. I repeated my symptoms and he offered me a few suggestions of what it could be. I asked about what they could help me out with there, and after the initial diagnostic I had some minor issues. He assured me they can look into them quickly for me, and get me back on the road. I agreed and the staff went to work on my car. Every few minutes he was giving me updates about how things were going with my car. After everything was said and done he rung me up and the total was more than what was originally quoted. As a manager at my job, I try and be on my best behavior when dealing with someone who has been obviously working a long day and gets a 'day-end-rush', so I didn't react to it and decided to just deal with the price for a working car. Without hesitation or a prompt on my part he told me he doesn't like making people pay for an error on this part and offered a discount in good faith to help with the cost. I paid and we walked out to my car, he opened the door for my girlfriend, and explained a few things to me about routine maintenance etc. Car sounds and runs better than when I bought it haha and I am super thankful I didn't just top off the oil! Now I work in an environment where customer service skills are a necessity, therefore I truly appreciate it when I get the same "go above and beyond" treatment from others. Cody not only identified an opportunity where I could have walked away from the shop feeling a bit disgruntled, and resolved it, but also won this Jiffy Lube location a permanent customer through his demeanor and superior customer service. WOW - what a pleasant surprise; a top-notch experience, start to finish, which truly only took 20 mins, even with two cars ahead of me. My older, yet super-reliable, Lexus was overdue for an oil change, so I thought I'd give our local Jiffy Lube a try. Kept my expectations low; never been there before, and c'mon: it's an oil change after all. The entire service crew was in constant motion and seemed to genuinely 'get' customer service. Cody Ryalls gets serious props for terrific supervision, and being efficient, clear, helpful, un-pushy. I was set against 'extras', but yes, I opted for a new air filter, (mine was in pretty sad condition.) Very reasonable price and he threw in fixing a burned out license plate bulb. Kudos to Chayne Buchanan, who did the work and was not only fast, clean, and thorough, (he double-checked apprx 15 service points), but made me smile with a bit of personality and humor, too. I'll definitely go back for the top-offs, and future, 5-star service from these guys, and sure hope Upper Mgmt keeps this crew happy - they're keepers. read more

Cody is the best!! I called Firestone on Rainier Ave (where I usually go) and was told there would be a three hour wait. I called this Jiffy Lube and spoke with Cody on the phone. I was in and out in 15 minutes, and Cody answered all of my questions and was very professional. It's a little pricier than Firestone, but that's because I opted for the higher mileage oil that he recommended. I didn't feel forced to get anything extra done, but I felt very informed on some things I'll need done next time I come in. I will be coming here from now on!! read more

I used to come to this location with my Cobalt. Since I got a brand new vehicle, I now just go to the dealership. Anyways... I am giving 3 stars because I absolutely HATE being hassled about replacing this and that and trying to upgrade to a $100 oil change. What really sent me over the edge was when a week prior to having my oil changed, I was involved in a minor collision with my car, and I ended up having to replace the radiator, air filters, etc. When I came in for an oil change, I was told I needed a radiator flush and new air filters. I told them that they were JUST replaced due to my accident. I got the blank stare from the guy helping me. Did he even look at the filter? I declined all the extra up sells. When I got home I pulled out my cabin filter and my air filter under the hood and they were both bright white and brand new. Just because I am a girl doesn't mean you need to try to upsell me EVERYTHING. I do know a thing or two about my car... read more

Let me start off with saying that my service was excellent and they changed my oil in a jiffy lol. My only qualms are that the $30 oil change was a promotional price and not their regular price but that's my mistake, I could get two oil changes elsewhere for the normal price but that's okay. The other, more important problem is that when I came out to my car and drove off my steering wheel had oil on it... This is dangerous because it's slippery and now my left hand has oil on it for my 40 minute drive into Seattle. I just hope someone sees this and it doesn't happen again, it's an undefendable mistake read more

I had a questionable experience with my last service two days ago. I called the shop and spoke with the manager, Josh. I was beyond impressed with how professional and quick he was to seek resolution of my concerns to maintain my confidence as a client. Went way beyond my expectations to "make it right". A true ambassador for the Jiffy Lube brand in the local market. A concern turned into this positive review, due to strong customer service and a "customer first" approach to business. I frequent this Jiffy Lube location because it is close to home. Usually I receive very great customer service from the team as a whole. They seem to have a great bond, share knowledge and work well together. I have recently had an encounter with my vehicle leaking antifreeze. Initially I was assisted by Chayne and Josh, who directed me to Cody for assistance. The next day Cody was able to completely repair the leak. The leak was something above and beyond of the services that I have received from Jiffy Lube but no one complained or gave me grief about helping. They were very helpful through the process and made sure that the components were fixed before I left. Cody even went so far as to degrease and clean my engine of all of the debris that had been left by the antifreeze leak. I was very grateful for their knowledge and experience and their WILLINGNESS to help me with job! I was able to get my car working, get to work, pick up my kids and resume life as usual. With their assistance, I also saved a lot of money which I was grateful for because had it not been for Chayne's initial help, I wouldn't have known the issue and what needed to be repaired. Again, I am very grateful and will continue to utilize this Jiffy Lube location. I have also shared my experience with others, encouraging them to use this Jiffy Lube for their car needs as well.
