i called on the phone to get a copy of a receipt and i was told i would need to wait "a few minutes"...that turned into about 10 minutes where i decided to hang up and call back as i heard guys laughing in the background but no one near the phone. When I called back i introduced myself again and asked why it was taking so long and why he hadn't even taken down any of my information. Service was OK - technicians were fine. I was disappointed that they wouldn't take my $22.99 Jiffy Lube coupon. They said the system wasn't taking the coupon and they would only give my $10 off. What is interesting is that I used a "2nd vehicle" coupon for $22.99 at the other Salem Jiffy Lube and there was no problem with using the coupon ... hmm read more

Went in for a basic oil change and they tried selling me on all these "extra" services. One service happened to be involving spraying my battery terminal. I was told the battery was in good shape and this was just preventative. A few days later my car won't start. The car is new and I have never had an issue until now, right after they serviced the car. I have been to this location a few times and every time I go they forget to reset the service light, put on the wrong service date sticker, and have left oil all over the inside of my door. Took an hour and cost $8 more for a simple oil change. Attendant pulled out a brand new cabin air filter (I just changed it) and tried to sell me a new one for $50 (worth $10). Gave me back the car with low coolant and didn't say anything or offer to fill it. Failed to clean windows as part of the advertised service. Danger (to your wallet)! Stay away from Jiffy Lube, 194 N Broadway, Salem, NH. They deserve zero stars, but unfortunately zero stars are not allowed. They will not only drain your oil, they will try to drain your wallet as well. They use high pressure, misleading, unethical and probably illegal sales tactics to increase your cost for unnecessary services. Most are paid on commission for up selling products above and beyond a conventional oil change. I have cringed at the outright lies I have heard the N Broadway Jiffy Lube staff tell people about "services recommended and/or required by the factory" for their vehicles. I am a retired service manager for several large new car dealerships and know what the factory requirements are. The N Broadway Jiffy Lube recently tried unsuccessfully to victimize me when I brought my Honda in for an engine oil change. After driving my car into their shop, the clerk at the desk recommended a laundry list of services which I did not need or want. He told me that the factory required that I have a transmission service done. As a retired service manager, I knew a transmission service was not required. I told the clerk all I wanted was the oil change and reminded him to reset the engine oil change reminder light on my dashboard. He told me that he would not reset the engine oil change light unless I had them do the transmission service (which was not needed.) I told him again that the transmission service was not needed and he rudely told me that he would not reset the light. At that point, I told him to stop working on my car and pull it outside as I was leaving. The manager, Andy, than angrily told me that he would not reset the engine oil change reminder light because it was company policy. It's company policy to defraud customers by forcing them to have unneeded services? Internet research seems to bear this out. There are many customer complaints about Jiffy Lube as well as class action lawsuits. The next day, I took my Honda to a Honda dealership. The Honda dealership changed the engine oil and oil filter. They reset the oil reminder light on my dashboard. They also told me that I did NOT need a transmission service as Jiffy Lube had falsely claimed. I definitely will not go to Jiffy Lube again. There are much better choices for oil change business where you will not subject yourself to getting scammed. However, if you do go to Jiffy Lube (I don't know why you would), ask them to show you in your vehicle service manual (not theirs) what the manufacturer of your vehicle recommends for service, fluid specifications and intervals. Do not buy anything not recommended in your vehicle service manual or fluids that do not meet the manufacturer fluid specifications. Beat Jiffy Lube at their own game. Get only an oil change with no up sells on special oil, other services, etc. and bring a coupon with you. Google " jiffy lube coupons "or" jiffy lube coupons ne " (usually $13.25 off coupon) Here are just a few examples of other Jiffy Lube tactics and problems; The N Broadway Jiffy Lube recommends very expensive synthetic or synthetic blend oils for vehicles that do not require it. They recommended it to me and I have heard them recommend to others. It is not required for most vehicles. If your vehicle does not require synthetic or synthetic blend oils, save yourself a lot of money and stick with conventional oil. Read your manual or call your car dealer. Do not take the word of the "experts" at Jiffy Lube as they are most likely not working in your best interest. The N Broadway Jiffy Lube suggests you let them top your off antifreeze (they don't mention the hefty charge). Usually not needed and I doubt if they actually check it or fill it. Jiffy Lube service intervals which are far more frequent than factory recommended intervals resulted in Jiffy Lube being hit with a $5 million class action law suit for false advertising and violation of consumer protection laws. The worst location for an oil change in southern New Hampshire. 50 minutes for an oil change in an SUV and then they left the windows down in the pouring rain and I came out to a completely soaked car. I will never bring any car I own ever back to this location. read more

I've had problems here in the past but it's usually quick so I went today (with my new car) to get an oil change. My windows weren't washed and floors weren't vacuumed as I was told they would be. Also as I was driving down the highway I heard a scraping sound and it turns out they left out a screw and part of my undercarriage was scraping on the ground. I had to drive 20 minutes out of my way to go back and get it fixed and was offered nothing more than a "sorry". Will not be going back here again. I would rather pay more and receive proper service than have to deal with people who half-ass their jobs. read more

I got a routine Oil Change on 11/14/2010. Everything seemed ok. A few days after the change we noticed the headlights on the car where dimming and it seemed sluggish. Since it was the Thanksgiving Holiday week, we did not get a chance to take the car back until 11/28/2010. At that time the Jiffy lube tech told us we need new headlights. They where replaced. Jiffy lube asked us where the oil change was done and we said in this shop. But by Jiffy Lube could not locate the repair history on the car. When the receipt was produced for the oil change, they \"found\" the record. Jiffy Lube sent us on our way. Over the next two day we noticed the car sluggish and the interior warning lights where coming on. My husband works for an Oil Delivery Firm so the mechanics there looked at the engine. His company mechanics told us the alternator and battery where filled with oil and it looks like an oil leak. They did not have the proper tools to fix our 2006 Hunyadi Sonata. I called Jiffy Lube and asked if they fixed oil leaks and Adam at Jiffy Lube told me they where not equipped for that repair. We took the car to the dealership. The dealership found the oil plug was not replaced properly and the oil overflowed and then drained into the alternator and Battery pan. They cleaned the battery and alternator, noted on my receipt the problem was due to the faulty install of the plug and sent us on our way stating they would not guarantee this took care of the problem. I drove the car home and all the interior warning lights came on. Called the dealership and brought the car in the next day. We decided to try a new battery. This worked for one day, then had the car towed back to the dealership fore the new alternator. Right now, I have spent $908.00 repairing the Jiffy Lube damage. I put in claim # 587838 with Jiffy lube. The assistant manager of the Jiffy Lube called me back and stated since I did not have the repair done at his shop, they will not refund me the price of the oil change nor pay the damages. I stated I called and was told Jiffy lube did not repair oil leaks and to take it elsewhere. He said it, since the problem was the plug and not a leak, he would have been able to repair it. Adam also told me since I had the car towed to the dealership; I could have had it towed to his shop for him to make the determination on the repair. Damage Resulting = Engine had to be cleaned, new battery and new alternator. On 12/24/2010 Jiffy Lube told me they would reimburse me half of the repair costs. On 12/27/2010 I emailed my acceptance of the "deal". It is now July and I am still waiting for my payment. read more

Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Oil change happened in a reasonable amount of time. on my way out I noticed they didn't put the mileage sticker on the windshield, So I turned around and came back. As I was waiting for the new sticker I noticed that my tires were never rotated. I brought this to the managers attention who replied "How do you know" I proceeded to show him that I pre-marked the tires with a sharpie and they were indeed not rotated. He walked away got the sticker put it on the windshield and said have a nice day. I again asked about my rotation. He said they might have been staggered and walked away. read more

I had a terrible experience to day at this Jiffy Lube. I brought my 2013 CRV in for an oil change. A technician signed me in and asked me to circle one of the oil selections. I told him I just wanted a regular oil change and he pointed to the most inexpensive price, which was expensive compared to the Honda dealer I usually go to. I left the car and went to lunch. When I came back the woman at the desk told me that she was not responsible for my car and that the engine could be ruined because I didn't put in synthetic oil. I was never warned, informed, or had any notification that they were putting the wrong oil in my car. They offered to change it with the right oil for the increased price but I don't trust them to do anything to my car. I will bring it to the Honda dealer and get the oil changed properly for $30. read more

Went in awhile ago for a inspection sticker. They took my sticker off and then said I failed! I asked where my voided was one was and they said. They didn't have it. I asked why they took it off they said. Oh you were gonna pass then we found something. Most unprofessional place I ever dealt with. The most rude and impatient manager or assistant manager in the world works at this Jiffy Lube. He is ill-tempered and nasty, no patience with people what so ever. He should not be dealing with the public at all! If he is talking to you and you don't make eye contact he stops talking until make eye contact again. If your make noise with your keys, he stops talking. If your child is with you and god forbid they start talking, you guessed it; he stops talking. I watched him check out this young lady with her son and he made her feel so bad I wanted to scream. When he checked me out, it was the same thing. I have been in there several times and have seen this individual act like this every time. I will NEVER go back to this location again. If I could rate them with no stars I would!!!! I normally go to valvoline in Derry but tried this jiffy lube because I was down in Salem for other errands. Pulled in right when someone was leaving because he was tired of waiting. Because I am use to things moving quickly I sat in the car waiting to move in for the oil change. The three bays were full, there were three guys in the bay's . I watched thirty five minutes as one guy worked hard running around, he was short with tats on his arms. One other guy was on his cell phone the whole time, he was taller and thin. The last guy walked over to a car to put on windshield wipers, put them down walked away, came back picked them up and walked away again, kept doing this and never completed the task before I gave up at thirty five minutes and left. The last guy I think also had tats on his arms but was taller than the first guy. Please keep in mind this was at around 10:30am not the lunch hour. this place is horrible! the previous time i had no issues, but feb 27th i went in for my inspection, it failed (not a huge deal) so i got my issue fixed and went to bring it back. i was told they were to busy and to come back the next day, i came back the next day " oh he's not here he went home for the day" ... ok so then i went back a third time nope he went home already.... arrrgggg so time 4 i was told they were backed up and wouldnt be able to fit me in. fine i left. this sat march 29th i bring it in to get my rear brakes fixed and my inspection... they held my suv till 4:45 pm today... guess what no inspection still! i ask why, "oh the guy that did inspections was fired for doing them wrong and messing them up..." then im told the other guy wasnt here and would definitely be there tomorrow morning.. so i go fine ill be back in the am... i go to start my suv and get this... MY ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON!! ive owned my vehicle for 2 yrs ive never once had my engine light on, it wasnt on when i dropped it off sat so what the heck... im told its " a censor"... yet when my husband called yesterday and earlier today to check on my suv this was not mentioned....
